justice system. Crime is a feature in all societies and criminal justice is the response to a crime and
can include protecting the citizens from everyday threats to their safety such as ensuring dangerous

necessary. Racism is the unequal treatment of a population group purely because of its possession

From the beginning of the semester until now, I believe I have made progress with the goals I
considered for the midterm exam. Those goals were staying turned out, fully extending the

these three aspects, new challenges were discovered over the current ones. The new challenges
have allowed myself to set new goals for the upcoming semester of Spring 2018. During the
midterm conference, Dr. Sims provided me a few exercises I could work on outside of class to
improve my turnout. The exercise I have really worked on is with a theraband. This exercise
consists of tieing the theraband around the thigharea tight enough to allow resistance and begin to
externally rotate the legs. This exercise targets turning out from the hips as I was turning out from
the knee, which could be another cause of my knee pain.
Not only is working with a theraband working, but continuing to think about sending energy out
from the tip of my hip of the working leg into my big toe. With this idea in my head, it allows me
to fully lengthen the working leg and not let the knee drop or turn parallel to the floor. For

I don t think the vocals ever overshadowed the orchestral music, which is not the case in most
operas. Puccini s Turandot had a markedly different sound from the other two operas. The obvious
difference is that Puccini used pentatonic scales in his composition as opposed to the Western
occidental scales in an effort to emulate traditional Chinese music. Interestingly, the composition
didn t feature any actual Chinese instruments aside from the gong. Puccini seemed to use a lot of

Esperanza s internal conflict, her discovering what comprises her identity is the most prominent

question all of her observations that shape her perception of herself. As she deals with life s harsh

Abstract: Children with Down syndrome typically have increased behavioral issues associated with
their disability due to the disabilities phenotype. Introducing a token economy system was proven
effective to increase the amount of running in the subject. The purpose of this study was to
determine the effectiveness of a token economy to increase running on command of a child with
Down syndrome. Having a token economy system in place, allows better stability and
repetitiveness in their daily lives. This essentially helps the student maintain behavioral control and
the maladaptive behaviors are less likely to happen. A five week token economy behavioral
program was implemented and included earning tokens (up to five) per session to exchange for up
to five minutes of computer time. The results drastically changed from pre intervention to post
intervention by 80%. Every task was completed and when asked, although there were still minor
reoccurring behaviors that needed correction. When implementing a token economy it is still
important to manage the smaller behaviors in order to increase the amount of physical activity
completed per session.

The government was making all decisions for the country and the people within it; without the
opportunity for the citizens voice to be heard it left all vulnerable and subject to only what the
government wanted without any consideration for what was best for the people (Nichols, 2013). It
