The Film Gangs Of New York
The film Gangs of New York, highlighted the facets of many different gangs; the most important
being the Natives and the Dead Rabbits. Both gangs vied for power over the region called the Five
Points during the Civil War time period. Within the film there were many different examples of social
stratification like class privilege, status, and power. The examples of stratification were shown by both
gangs and the individuals that the gangs were compromised of. The purpose of this paper is to analyze
these examples of social class and privilege, status, parties, and power, as described by Max Weber,
and how they exemplified in the film Gangs of New York. The examples of stratification in the film
similar to that of Weber s will show that the Gangs of New York represent the strife and problems that
come with a person s class, status, and party.
In Class, Status, Party, by Max Weber, Weber defines a class as any group of people that happen to be
facing the same class situations, or problems (Weber). Both of the two main gangs in the film, the
Natives, formally known as the Native Americans, and the Dead Rabbits, which is compromised of
the Irish Immigrants, were mostly a part of the same social class. There are many different ways that
classes in society can be stratified other than by just the basic three, upper class, middle class, and the
poor (Rothman). The characters in the Gangs of New York mostly belong to the working poor or
unemployed caste, because they have

Innovation Is The Progress Of Change Within A Business
Innovation is the progress of change within a business that s ultimate goal is to lead a business into
success. Each business model in every market must understand the constantly changing culture that
actually causes the business to change. Busy Bees Babysitting is a company that is in a constantly
changing market but has a unique twist to the average process. Innovation can bring a competitive
advantage to the business and lead into more organizational success. Innovation requires a recognition
of a problem, a proposed solution, an implementation plan and a way to measure it. All these aspects
work together and can lead a business into growth. I currently work for a company called Busy Bees
Babysitting as an independent contractor. This is a business, much like Care, that allows a family in
need of a babysitter or nanny, to have access to hundreds of CPR certified workers. These job requests
are made through an app where the parent enters the information of how many kids, their ages, and the
zip code to a database that the babysitters have access to. Then the babysitters open the app and see
which jobs they are available to take. This business has been open for about a year and a half and has
grown a lot over the past two months. They now have 375 babysitters and over 1500 families in need
of sitters. With such a quick growth rate the company runs on word of mouth, but they are
overwhelmed with the amount of work that comes with success. When a babysitter has a flat tire,

Essay On What I Value As An American
What do I value as an American? What is America to me? I sit and I reread the same the sentences
over and over again. I m not sure how to approach my feelings of conflict. I know America is one of
the greatest countries, but it can also be a place where equality and respect is not as valued as it should
be. I see America differently than any other person can see it. I have my own thoughts, feelings, and
experiences that shape my perception of the country I live in. Safety. That s what comes to mind when
I think of something I value as an American. I watch the news every night and see families grieving
over their black men. Black men like my father, black men like my brothers will grow to be. Watching
these families remind me that the man who just had car troubles, could have easily been my father or
the boy that was on his way back from purchasing skittles, could have been one of my brothers. I m

Why Was the Weimar Republic in Germany Able to Survive the...
After the First World War ended in 1918, Germany was in a chaos. Although the Allies offered peace,
they demanded a democratic government in Germany. The Kaiser abdicated the throne while Ebert
formed the Weimar Republic and established the constitution in 1919. However the establishment of
this government was unstable with opposition from both left and right wings. Even more, the German
Parliament (Reichstag) relied on the cooperation of the coalitions of governments which resulted in
political weakness of this new democratic system because these coalitions often broke up. Yet, the
Weimar Republic was still able to survive through these years until 1929 as it was relatively stable
before the Wall Street Crash. However, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, Germany lost all the overseas colonies, 10% of its land as well as industries. While
Germany was virtually bankrupt after the war, Germany still had a £6.6 billion for reparations to the
war. Inflation arose and the Germans suffered. Discontent towards the government increased as Ebert
was the one to blame. Germany was even said to be stab at the back by Ebert. At this stage, the
Weimar Republic was so weak and without the support from its people. However, the Ruhr Crisis
happened in 1923 restored some support from the people to the government as the government called
off a passive resistance to France s occupation in the Ruhr. This was one of the reasons that the
government was able to survive in these years.
However, the strike in the Ruhr Crisis had heavily affected its industry. The consequence of the strike
was inflation. Germany had no goods to trade so it couldn t repay the debt. Therefore, the government
printed more money causing hyperinflation. Poor people suffered but middle classes suffered the
most. This is an extremely unstable and hard time for Germany. Then, the new Chancellor Stresemann
resolved these problems. He renegotiated the period for the payment of debt and borrowed loans from
the US. The Dawes Plan worked successfully and the Germans economy recovered until 1929. In
addition, it was a time of political stability,

Essay on Analysis of Cavemen in the Hedges
Chase Thomas
Prof. Julia Elliot
English 282
November 15, 2011
The Cavemen in the Hedges The Cavemen in the Hedges is a short story that contains many
underlying themes of psychoanalytical theory. Themes of the id, a selfish, primal, version of one s self
concerned only with physical desires; the superego, part of a person s psyche that is only worried
about ideals and morals; and the ego, the rational part of the brain that attempts to satisfy both the id
and superego natures make up an immense proportion of the breakdown of this story. Repression and
other psychological defense mechanisms are also very important in the analysis as well. The first
display of the id is that of the cavemen themselves. Our cavemen are ... Show more content on

She lets the cleanliness of her once perfectly kept house go to pot. She no longer cares about reality or

The Cavemen in the Hedges is the superego. This is seen in several of our characters at times, but it is
without a doubt personified in the annoying neighbors, the Schaefers. Evan and Winsome are
described as New Age hippies and over friendly . Their dress reminds me of how a choir robe would
look. These two are the type of people that believe everything has a spirit and every creature should be
cared for. While having dinner with our main characters, Winsome begins to get teary eyed over
having found a newborn cavebaby that had died in their backyard. She shows compassion for this
abandoned creature, one of the greatest emotions expressed in terms of the superego. When Kim
declares that she doesn t understand how Winsome could possibly cry for these things and that they
are disgusting , Winsome thinks Kim is being judgmental. This is an archetypal viewpoint of the
superego, as she says this with almost a condescending tone in her voice. The Schaefers appear to be a
moral, sensitive couple that cares deeply for all manner of peoples and this supremely annoys Kim and
the narrator. The reason they are so put off by their neighbors is that they are uncomfortable with
themselves in comparison to the Schaefers. The Schaefers are happily married

Compare And Contrast Middle Colonies And New England Colonies
During the seventeenth century, Europeans established colonies in North America. The English
colonies were originally established because proprietors from England were granted charters to govern
lands. Other European colonies were established around trading posts. Over time, the English gained
control of the thirteen colonies through force or purchase; eventually, the regions were known as the
Southern, Middle, and New England Colonies. Although both New England and Southern colonies
share several commonalities, they differ in how they treat women, Africans, their religion, and their
government. Both colonial sections have unique ways of how they treat Africans. New England had

They both had more rights than they would if they had stayed in England. In both colonies the women
knew how to take care of the sick and practiced medicine. Although this is true, in the New England
colonies, widows can own properties, while in the Southern colonies they need a man to have
property. Besides religion, the treating of women is one of the biggest similarities the colonies have.
Both colonies differ tremendously in their government. In the New England colonies, they were
mostly self governed. They had town meetings, where people could speak out and state their own
opinions. These people could also vote for who would represent them. In the South, counties were
basic unit. They had sheriffs and a justice of the peace. All of the colonies started out as royal
colonies, but New England colonies began to form charter government. The government in the
colonies was based off of religion. In the New England colonies, they had more religious freedom.
Excluding the Quakers, most forms of Christianity were accepted.Puritans and Pilgrims migrated to
New England. There, the children were given a good education in order to be able to read the bible. In
the Southern colonies, most of them were Catholic. The people of the churches were the ones who had
control over the government. People in the north were trying to get away from English religions, yet

The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Beggars In Pakistan
Beggars are everywhere in Pakistan. They are found in nearly every village, town and city. The main
hubs of their action are places of worship and bazaars. They can be seen on the sides of the roads in
front of the mosques and other places of hectic activity. They move from street to street, from one area
to another and beg for alms, food and money. They take whatsoever is given to them. Sometime,
individual comes across a deaf or dumb beggar lifting a sightless or lame beggar on his back and
begging for charities.
The number of beggars in Pakistan is growing rapidly. These beggars live on the incomes of others. It
is indeed a curse that even able bodied peoples of Pakistan resort to begging. They indulge in
numerous evils like drinking and gambling. There are diseased. They bring with them infection and
roam from place to place and thus are responsible to an immense amount for spreading epidemics.
Begging must be banned in Pakistan by law. However, deserving should be facilitated and others
should be given productive opportunities. Street begging is certainly a great irritation. ... Show more

a person to stretch out his hand to others and beg. Why would somebody need to begin this day? Is it
an action of desperation, as that person has no other ways of making a living, or is it just a absence of
self morale, Can we apportion the presence of begging on our social attitudes, whereby beggars have
become complacent and rely on hand outs. Does begging exist because people are treating this as a

Engineering Project Robert Lauv Period 3 Science Fair Project Research Report Magnification is one
of the world s greatest inventions. It made people learn about the creatures that are too small for the
human eye to see normally. But sometimes, the image given by magnification is unclear. And here is a
solution: colored magnifying lens. Colored glasses lens change the way people see, so why not
improvise and add that feature to magnifying glasses? (not saying to create prescription magnifying
glasses) One of the most basic tools for magnification is the magnifying glass, invented by Alhazen

would be confusing. Focal length is the distance from the point that light rays meet to the area the

the focal length, the lower the magnification. Magnification helps scientists learn about microscopic
life and things far away, which is why it s so important. A couple of things our planet learned about
using magnification are about how bacteria lives and the creatures that live with them, about the

How Does Paton Use Metaphors In Cry The Beloved Country
In 1948, apartheid was enacted by the all white national party in South Africa. The purpose was to
separate whites from non whites, and to decrease the power and success of non whites. In the 20th
century novel Cry, The Beloved Country by Alan Paton, he uses metaphors to emphasize how the
suffering of tribal people have both positive and negative consequences on their moral character. Their
development of morality can create or mend a division in society. Possessing a strong moral
foundation provides the ability to face personal challenges. Cry, The Beloved Country chronicles the
emotional journey Stephen Kumalo takes to cope with the sin he faces, internally and externally. The
trial of his son, Absalom, for the murder of Arthur Jarvis, poses as a spiritual trial for Kumalo himself.
Paton uses anaphora in Kumalo s thoughts to reiterate how hard it is for him to speak when he sees his

Right Triangle Research Paper
There are six trigonometric ratios that one must know in order to find any angle in a right triangle.
There are various of ways to remember these trigonometric ratios, but the most common way is
through SOHCAOTOA. By having this clear in your memory, it will allow one to remember at least
the three basic trigonometric ratios: Sine (sin.), Cosine (cos.), and Tangent (tan.). Before one learns
about how SOHCAOTOA is split up, we must learn about the angles in a right triangle. First off, the
hypotenuse is the longest line in a triangle, then in order to find the adjacent and opposite, one must
locate where the angle. Upon locating the angle, we can conclude that the opposite is further away
from the angle, whereas the adjacent is the closer one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In short, these three trig. ratios are the reciprocal of sine (sin.), cosine (cos.), and tangent (tan.).
Although many may assume that cosecant is the reciprocal of cosine, it is actually that of sine, which
means that cosecant is hypotenuse over opposite. Thereafter, that leaves us with secant, which is in
fact the reciprocal of cosine, demonstrating that it is hypotenuse over adjacent. Nonetheless, cotangent
is the last trig. ratio, meaning that it is the reciprocal of tangent, being rather adjacent over opposite.
Now, we know the formulas for these trigonometric functions being: Csc=HypotenuseOpposite,
Sec=HypotenuseAdjacent, and Cot=AdjacentOpposite . For example, the triangle on the next page is a
7 24 25 right triangle, and we must determine the six trigonometric ratios for angle C of the right
triangle. Based off this information, we can determine that the adjacent is 7, with the opposite being
24 and hypotenuse as 25. In order to find the sine of angle C, we must write out Sin C
=OppositeHypotenuse and plug in the numbers to equal Sin C=2425. Next, in order to find the cosine
of angle C, by writing out Cos C=AdjacentHypotenuse and plugging in the adjacent and hypotenuse
number to equal Cos C=725. After solving for the sine and cosine of the right triangle, we must find
the tangent being Tan C=OppositeAdjacent.

The Great Depression Of 1929 Essay
It is almost nine decades since the outbreak of great depression of 1929 and it still haunts the economy

Americans. America experienced a time of wreckage and terror. The Great Depression was not a
sudden collapse. Many events led up to the most traumatic economic period of modern times. World
War I, the Roaring Twenties and unequal distribution of wealth among the people were all origins of
the Great Depression but a specific cause to this disaster stills remains a mystery today. After World
War I ended Americans wanted a change in their country. Women wanted more rights and were given

the burden of the men at house. Americans wanted to improve their country. Americans spent their

Chelation Therapy Research Paper
WHAT IS CHELATION THERAPY?
Chelation refers to the removal of toxins and heavy metals from the cells and organs of the body.
Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum, arsenic and others accumulate in our body
over time through daily exposure. These toxins are stored in our organs and can gradually corrode our
health.
Since they are so tightly bound within the cell, an agent must be used with a strong attraction to the
toxins to pull them out. That agent is the chemical EDTA. This is a man made amino acid that is FDA
approved for the removal of lead. It has been in use since the 1950s. It is also known to have an
affinity for other heavy metals and can pull those out of the cells of the body as well. Once bound to
the EDTA, the heavy metals are flushed out through the urine.
The presence of heavy metals is known to cause hypertension, damage to arteries leading to heart
disease , Damage the brain cells increasing the risk of dementia, Parkinson s and other diseases,
damage to the organs of the body increasing the risk of cancer.
For many decades, physicians with advanced training in chelation therapy have been combining
EDTA with other vitamins and supplements to reverse symptoms of vascular and heart disease,
decrease dementia and cancer risk, and support ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chelation as a specific therapy is not FDA approved for the treatment of any medical disorder.
However, it is up to the discretion of a physician based upon his knowledge and experience to use
agents approved by the FDA for purposes other than their original intent. This common practice of
medicine is known as off label use of products. This provision has given physicians the freedom to
help their patients through applied use of their experience and knowledge. Such off label use is most
common when dealing with generic substances (like EDTA) that lack the type of profit potential that
would motivate companies to invest in the FDA

The Effects Of Peer Pressure On Children
Teenagers feel peer pressure everyday in their lives, whether in school or out in the town. During
teenage years, kids in school differentiate themselves from their parents. Not only do teenagers give in
to peer pressure, but also come up with unintelligent ideas at school. Thinking and feeling that their
ideas are worth a million dollars. One of my friends in my math class at Spanish Fork Junior High
came up with a careless idea that ended very reckless causing someone to get injured. When your
friends come up with a crazy idea you need to keep in mind that consequences can occur if you give
into peer pressure. Peer pressure not only has negative consequences, but also can have positive
outcomes as well. In ninth grade my friends were playing out in the fields throwing footballs at each
other during lunch time. Next to us there were a couple of girls who were doing tricks on each other
shoulders. They were on the Spanish Fork High School Drill Team, and that s when Chris got the idea
that we should all try to do what they were doing. I noticed some girls were doing flips from each
others shoulders. Chris, who considered himself to be very strong and athletic thought that it was the
coolest thing. He wanted me to get on his shoulders and do back flips off. I told him no several times.
He kept insisting that I would be fine. Chris and my other friends were pressuring me to give in, I
hesitated a while. I was not thinking of what could go wrong, instead I listened to Chris

Analysis Of Fred Ebb s Cabaret
What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play; Life is a cabaret, old chum,
Come to the cabaret. Fred Ebb wrote these lyrics for a song, sung by Sally Bowles, in the play
Cabaret. Fred Ebb was the lyricist for this play, while John Kander was the composer. In 1972, Joe
Masteroff was the writer and the Producer was Harold Prince, the production was based in 1930 s
Berlin. This production was based during the time when Nazism was rising to power everywhere, but
especially in the heart of Germany, which was Berlin. Germany was already greatly crippled with debt
from World War One and also from after that with the Wall Street s stock market crash, the 1930 s was
a tough time for the entire nation. The 1930 s is when Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party wanted to
become part of parliament, and Hitler, became a hit. He made many promises to the world, and he
restored everyone s hope and made them all feel like they could conquer anything as a country
together. Hitler made people feel like their opinions mattered to him, even when they did not. When
the Nazi s came to power, even the police leaned more toward that power, not just because they were
in power, but because they believed in the party and the points that they were making. It was better to
be safe from discrimination than to be discriminated against. There was a multitude of Nazism and
Antisemitism throughout this time, and it affected the Jewish party greatly, being hated and

Walking Dead Recaps
Finally! The Walking Dead has returned and so have my recaps. I know most of my blog lately has
been recaps and I m really sorry for that! I have been feeling unmotivated lately when it comes to
photographing things and writing but I m trying to work on some things so that I can create more
varying content for you all.
With the sixth season upon us, I was expecting something exciting and emotional but was a bit
disappointed. I wanted an episode that started right where we left off at the end of the fifth season. I
know they showed flashbacks, which was cool, but I would have preferred an episode without
flashbacks and just seeing how the community adapted after the meeting and the demise of Reg and
Pete and the return of our favorite zen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The infected are trapped by strategically placed trucks that are blocking their path. Only one at a time
would be able to squeeze through, not enough to create an actual threat. Rick is creating a plan to
excavate the walkers when one truck falls off the ledge, leaving an open path for the walkers to travel.
I guess this discovery determines how Alexandria has stayed in tact for so long. But the bigger
problem is, how are they going to get rid of these walkers so they don t become a larger threat.
This is where the episode kind of lost me...Ricks plan is to basically lead the infected 20 miles away.
Doesn t this seem a bit ridiculous? Why couldn t they set them on fire? Or at least come up with a
different plan. I find it hard to believe they couldn t think of something other than this complicated
and insane idea to lead infected away with noise and using Daryl as bait. I understand that it makes
things interesting but it just seemed like such a stretch to me.
Another grievence I had with this episode is the character, Carter. We meet him and he is obviously
very apprehensive towards Rick. He even tries to create a plan to kill Rick before he gets anyone
killed. Eugene overhears this plan and almost gets shot but Rick comes into the house just in time and

A Brief Note On The And Licensed Contractors
In August of 2014, Hurricane Iselle hit the Island of Hawaii, where I live. She was violent and mean
as she swept across our shores. In her wake, our electricity and telephone lines went down. I wondered
for weeks as the telephone and electricity repair crew worked 24 hours, seven days a week trying to
restore service to all of us in need. Despite the drawbacks of broken power lines, fallen trees, and no
water, I felt confident that those repairing the lines were certified electricians and licensed contractors.
Our lives today are filled with a vast number of products with some kind of implanted computer part

Remember the IBM Selecta, manual calculators, and books that you can check out at the library to

being, we have evolved as a technological dependent society. It was like a storm that swept over the
world. It came fast and fierce. Business today are experiencing major problems finding qualified,

Pros And Cons Of Raising The Driving Age
For most kids turning sixteen is what they look forward to for years. After countless hours of driver s
education, and driving around with their guardian, they can finely gain some freedom. Receiving a
license gives one independence, responsibility, and more opportunities. Therefore; raising the driving
age is unfair and ineffective.
Raising the legal driving age lowers job opportunity. There are hundreds of job opportunities for
teenagers ( Jobs for Teens ). However, most of them require a form of transportation to get there.
Many kids live in a home in which both parents work; this limits transportation. If one is fortunate
enough to find a ride to work there still can be a problem. Many jobs that hire teens require their
employees to drive. For example, restaurants who deliver. (Example) Many people believe driving is
an adult responsibility. However, we live in a world where teens are forced to grow up, get a job, and
take responsibility ( Editorial: Teens and their wheels ). Raising the driving age will only make that
more difficult, but make teenagers even more dependent. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Benefits Of Self Storage For Home Owners
There are many reasons home owners and business owners make use of self storage facilities. Self
storage offers numerous benefits and in this article, I will talk about some of the main benefits of
using self storage facilities.
Benefits Of Self Storage For Home Owners
Hoarding when we have the desire to hold on to things, we want to create some space for those things
so we can use them later on in our lives. Many people have this fear of throwing things which they
think may be useful for them in the future. There are numerous examples of people in the self storage
industry of renting a storage space which they can use to collect items which they cannot store in their
homes anymore. In most families, hoarding can cause a real problem because it creates an actual
reduction in the living space. When we make use of self storage facilities, we can clear that space in
our homes and at the same time retain those items.
Reduce Clutter whether it is home or office, storage space can help reduce clutter and free up the
much needed space.
Security there is more security offered by self storage facilities than we can find in homes. Apart from
a simple lock, there are security fences, gated entry, surveillance cameras, exterior lighting, limited
after hours entry and security guards. If you have valuable items in the house which you are going to
use later on, it is best to put them in self storage facilities.
Safety the safety of your family is important and for this

Advanced Persistent Threat At Sony Picture Entertainment (...
Introduction According to lecture note and presentation from Dr. Tamir Bechor on October 21, 2016,
advanced persistent threat: (i) pursues its objectives repeatedly over an extended period of time; (ii)
adapts to defenders efforts to resist it; and (iii) is determined to maintain the level of interaction
needed to execute its objectives. (Bechor, 2016) These objectives include building and strengthening
its harmful system within an organization infrastructure in order to disrupt activities, obstruct normal
operations, and extract sensitive information. Hence, this paper will clarify how advanced persistent
threats (APTs) were achieved in the Sony Picture Entertainment (SPE) breach. In addition, examine
the characteristics of the SPE threat level and adversary level relating to the threat actors capabilities,
intent, and targets. Moreover, review why SPE previous security vulnerabilities and weaknesses or
significant investments didn t benefit to detect or prevent this breach. (Bechor, 2016)
Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) One attribute of APT refers to the continuous attacks from threat
actors to penetrate SPE infrastructure. Although the attack on Sony Corporation in 2011 to its network
might not have been related to this incident in 2014, it has been proven the hackers behind the SPE
attack exploited a previously undisclosed or unknown [Zero Day] vulnerability in its computer
systems that gave them unlimited access to the entirety of SPE s network. (Bechor,

Finally this last poster (see Figure 3) was used for English propaganda. In the background there is a

There are no Truly Victimless Crimes Essay
A man chooses to take cocaine. He understands the risks he is taking, and he believes that taking the
cocaine is worth the risk. Should he be allowed to take the drug? Or should the government force him
to abstain from it, in his own interest? He is not hurting anyone but himself, so why should there be a
law against it? This debate has raged since the beginning of civilization. J. S. Mill, in his Essay on
Liberty, takes the position that is commonly accepted: the government should not interfere with
matters that do not involve more than one person. These matters are often called victimless crimes.

The view in favor of legalized prostitution is uninformed. A prostitute s terms are often violated by the
customer, or by the prostitute s employer. Sixty two percent of prostitutes report being raped at their

customer. These are all actions that were not agreed to by the prostitute, causing the prostitute to
become a victim. Other negative effects on the prostitute can result from the practice. Seventy five
percent of prostitutes have attempted suicide, which may be related to the sixty five percent who have
clinical post traumatic stress disorder. Ninety two percent of prostitutes say that they want to escape

This can cause massive stress and depression for the spouse and children. It is safe to say that

In William Kennedy s novel Ironweed, the story is set in Albany, New York, during the 1930 s
otherwise known as the Great Depression. In the story, the main character Francis Phelan lives as a
bum and can be described as a classic antihero on a lengthy quest for forgiveness from both the living

as the guilt from his dark past become ghosts in his everyday life. He is a murderer, an alcoholic and is
constantly running away from his responsibilities. Despite these flaws, he comes across as a kind and

The Physiological Effects of Renovascular Hypertension...
Renovascular hypertension, also known as renal hypertension, is a condition in which chronically
elevated high blood pressure is caused by a narrowing of the renal arteries. The renal arteries are the
arteries that bring blood to the kidneys (9). This blood is processed by which the kidneys filter the
blood, removing some substances and sometimes adding others. The kidneys also have several
functions, which can be negatively affected by renovascular hypertension. One function is the
regulation of water and ion balances within the body. In order to do so, the kidney is also responsible
for the removal of waste products and foreign chemicals from the blood by excreting them in the form

Concept 1: Renal Artery Stenosis as the Cause of Renovascular Hypertension
Renovascular hypertension is most commonly caused by prerenal factors, which are conditions that
result in a decrease in blood flow to the kidney, which is also known as hypoperfusion. In many cases,
the prerenal factor that causes renovascular hypertension is renal artery stenosis. Renal artery stenosis
is defined as the narrowing of the renal artery that produces a decrease in blood flow into the kidneys
(3). Renal artery stenosis is most often caused by atherosclerosis (1). Atherosclerosis occurs when
there is a buildup of fatty substances within the walls of the arteries, which is what causes the
narrowing. The fatty substances, like cholesterol and triglycerides, harden over time and become
plaque, which increases the resistance of the arteries by decreasing the circumference, but also by
making the arteries less elastic (5). When arteries are less elastic, they are unable to expand and recoil
properly, which causes stiffening. Factors that can lead to atherosclerosis include a poor diet that is
high in fat, physical inactivity, and cigarette smoking (1). When the narrowing of the renal artery
occurs, there is a decrease in blood flow

Professional athletes are some of the most admired and scrutinized people in the world. Some of the
most recognizable people in popular culture are athletes; Forbes annual list of the 100 Most Popular
Celebrities in the World lists three athletes in the top 20 (Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, and
Lionel Messi, respectively), and thirty one in the entire list (Forbes). While this list is extremely
objective, the immense popularity, athletes is undeniable. Hundreds of millions of people attend at
least one professional sporting event each year, and athletes are seen as leaders in our society, both on
and off the playing field. However, the fact that people hold athletes to such extreme standards is not
necessarily fair. The freedom to promote their own personalities should be contractually ensured for
professional athletes because the freedom to promote their own personalities helps them be a more
complete person and balance their own personal lives and interests with their professional lives. The
freedom to wear what they want, say what they believe in, do what they want, and just be the person
that they are makes it so that there are athletes who can be role models to everyone of all beliefs.
Without this freedom, athletes are one dimensional figures who are created and controlled by the
population, which takes away from their opportunity to become people that can set good examples for

French Colonialism Unmasked By Ruth Ginio
Ruth Ginio analyzes three dramatic years in the history of French West Africa, from 1940 to 1943, in
her book, French Colonialism Unmasked: The Vichy Years in French West Africa. She examines the
Vichy regime s attempt to impose the National Revolution ideology in the region. Vichy France was
the pro Axis government headed by Marshal Philippe Pétain from 1940 to 1944 during World War II.
Pétain established an authoritarian regime that never joined the Axis alliance, though it did have
similarities to totalitarianism and fascism. Ginio argues this to be a historically divisive period in the
region by providing an in depth examination of Vichy colonial visions and practices in French West
Africa. She describes captivating encounters between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She presents distinctive arguments on how Vichy s pretense of republican colonialism and its
propaganda fall by the way side. Both change and traditional propaganda presented in the second part
were still visible; however, Ginio offers solid evidence of Vichy s rejection of racial equality or the
incorporation of sociopolitical incorporation. She argues that the administration exposed their doctrine
of absolute colonial hierarchy where earlier regime s colonial administration officials at least partially
veiled their absolute authority. She asserts that previous regime had lent energy to propaganda focused
on assimilation ideals and of raising technological and cultural levels of Africans...perhaps even
obtaining sociopolitical equality. Ultimately, however, she laments that, the Vichy colonial
administration did not see itself as in any way obligated to the discourse of republican assimilation (p
110). Ginio further argues that the Vichy Regime rejected any kind of assimilation between
colonialists and Africans completely and began to emphasize racial differences and colonial hierarchy.
The Regime, therefore had no problem implementing a policy of segregation based on race rather than
on other more blurred categorizations (p

We need to know the normal range of movement of the muscles and joints so when moving, handling
and positioning a person we know the limits of each limb. We need to take into consideration other
factors that may inhibit a person s movements as:
Old Fractures
Torn Muscles
Rheumatism and Arthritic conditions.
This should all be written within the individuals care plan as well as a step by step plan on that has

Bridgestone Essay
Bridgestone is a dominant business as defined by Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson due to 80 84% of
revenue coming from the rubber product industry. Reports on Bloomberg and Reuters delineate that
Bridgestone is preparing to gain retracted experience in the auto care industry in this acquisition of
Pep Boys, indicating that the acquisition of Pep Boys was for a related corporation (Banarajee and
Tharakan, 1). Bridgestone is injected into the retail area in the United States and acquired Pep Boys
for the motive of expertise in auto care services. In addendum, Reuters, Bloomberg, and the New York

It was believed by the public analysts on Reuters and the New York Times that Bridgestone collected
market power with 800 Pep Boys entities and fabricated light auto service expertise in addendum to
that. Pep Boys and Bridgestone both delineate on their corporate indexes that they are acclimated to
the automotive activities of service, maintenance, and repair. The sale of tires, certain percentages of
automotive repair, and equipment are familiar between Bridgestone and Pep Boys and will be
matriculated among the 3,000 locations, which Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson would profess is
operational relatedness. Pep Boys and Bridgestone also display corporate relatedness through the
information from IBIS and Bloomberg. Bloomberg asserted that Bridgestone already operates more
than 2,200 tire and automotive centers across the U.S., and the merger will create the world s largest
chain of its kind (Boyden and Clothier, np). It is stated earlier how IBIS discussed that Pep Boys is
labeled as the only national chain offering automotive services, tires, parts and accessories ( Major
Companies, np). Given these two quotations, the core competency of Pep Boys will be attributed to
Bridgestone. Basically, Pep Boys and Bridgestone have intense operational relatedness because of a
degree of market association in the United States, and also have an isolated amount of corporate
relatedness through Pep Boy s core

Biology, Pragmatism and Contradiction Essay
Biology, Pragmatism and the Question of Contradiction
ABSTRACT: In this article I present H. R. Maturana s work as an alternative that reinforces
pragmatism in the task of thinking philosophy through the evolution of biological species. I try to
demonstrate how Maturana s biology dilutes the principal argument against American Neo
pragmatism. This criticism uses the argument of performative contradiction as it has developed in the
European Neo Kantian philosophy. Thus, I begin by presenting Apel. s arguments which are contrary
the perspective of the detranscendentalization of the Post Nietzschenian philosophy. I conclude that
analytical philosophy is a fecund point of contact between Maturana s biology and American
Pragmatism, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then, I would like to use a specific kind of reasoning as the filament of this discussion. I reefer to the
argument of the performative contradiction, central in contemporary philosophical discussion.
The argument of performative contradiction had been used by Aristotle to justify the Principle of
Contradiction. As shown by Cirne Lima, contemporary philosophy has rescued this type of argument
trough the Philosophy of Robert Heiss, Austin and Apel.
In one of his papers, Apel points to the historical origins of the argument that he proposes as a method
to establish a non metaphysical ultimate foundation to knowledge and ethics. In this article, Apel
begins his argumentation by partially accepting the Münchhausian s trilemma. As has been
demonstrated by Hans Albert every ultimate foundation implies: either a) in a regression to the
infinite; b) in a logical circle in which part of the argumentation includes exactly that we would
suppose to be settled; or c) in a dogmatic interruption of the foundational regress. Apel accepts only
partially this trilemma because he believes that this difficult in the structure of ultimate foundation is
applied only to Metaphysical Philosophy and not to Post Metaphysical Philosophy. In fact, Apel
attempts to demonstrate the possibility of a non metaphysical ultimate foundation.
Apel reflects about the Falsificationism and attempts to transport into Philosophy what was supposed
to be the mechanism of

The Film GangsOf New York The film Gangs of New York, highlighted the facets of many different gangs; the most important being the Natives and the Dead Rabbits. Both gangs vied for power over the region called the Five Points during the Civil War time period. Within the film there were many different examples of social stratification like class privilege, status, and power. The examples of stratification were shown by both gangs and the individuals that the gangs were compromised of. The purpose of this paper is to analyze these examples of social class and privilege, status, parties, and power, as described by Max Weber, and how they exemplified in the film Gangs of New York. The examples of stratification in the film similar to that of Weber s will show that the Gangs of New York represent the strife and problems that come with a person s class, status, and party. In Class, Status, Party, by Max Weber, Weber defines a class as any group of people that happen to be facing the same class situations, or problems (Weber). Both of the two main gangs in the film, the Natives, formally known as the Native Americans, and the Dead Rabbits, which is compromised of the Irish Immigrants, were mostly a part of the same social class. There are many different ways that classes in society can be stratified other than by just the basic three, upper class, middle class, and the poor (Rothman). The characters in the Gangs of New York mostly belong to the working poor or unemployed caste, because they have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Innovation Is TheProgress Of Change Within A Business Innovation is the progress of change within a business that s ultimate goal is to lead a business into success. Each business model in every market must understand the constantly changing culture that actually causes the business to change. Busy Bees Babysitting is a company that is in a constantly changing market but has a unique twist to the average process. Innovation can bring a competitive advantage to the business and lead into more organizational success. Innovation requires a recognition of a problem, a proposed solution, an implementation plan and a way to measure it. All these aspects work together and can lead a business into growth. I currently work for a company called Busy Bees Babysitting as an independent contractor. This is a business, much like Care, that allows a family in need of a babysitter or nanny, to have access to hundreds of CPR certified workers. These job requests are made through an app where the parent enters the information of how many kids, their ages, and the zip code to a database that the babysitters have access to. Then the babysitters open the app and see which jobs they are available to take. This business has been open for about a year and a half and has grown a lot over the past two months. They now have 375 babysitters and over 1500 families in need of sitters. With such a quick growth rate the company runs on word of mouth, but they are overwhelmed with the amount of work that comes with success. When a babysitter has a flat tire, ... I see America differently than any other person can see it. I have my own thoughts, feelings, and experiences that shape my perception of the country I live in. Safety. That s what comes to mind when I think of something I value as an American. I watch the news every night and see families grieving over their black men. Black men like my father, black men like my brothers will grow to be. Watching these families remind me that the man who just had car troubles, could have easily been my father or the boy that was on his way back from purchasing skittles, could have been one of my brothers. Why Was theWeimar Republic in Germany Able to Survive the... After the First World War ended in 1918, Germany was in a chaos. Although the Allies offered peace, they demanded a democratic government in Germany. The Kaiser abdicated the throne while Ebert formed the Weimar Republic and established the constitution in 1919. However the establishment of this government was unstable with opposition from both left and right wings. Even more, the German Parliament (Reichstag) relied on the cooperation of the coalitions of governments which resulted in political weakness of this new democratic system because these coalitions often broke up. Yet, the Weimar Republic was still able to survive through these years until 1929 as it was relatively stable before the Wall Street Crash. However, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While Germany was virtually bankrupt after the war, Germany still had a £6.6 billion for reparations to the war. Inflation arose and the Germans suffered. Discontent towards the government increased as Ebert was the one to blame. Germany was even said to be stab at the back by Ebert. At this stage, the Weimar Republic was so weak and without the support from its people. However, the Ruhr Crisis happened in 1923 restored some support from the people to the government as the government called off a passive resistance to France s occupation in the Ruhr. This was one of the reasons that the government was able to survive in these years. However, the strike in the Ruhr Crisis had heavily affected its industry. The consequence of the strike was inflation. Germany had no goods to trade so it couldn t repay the debt. Therefore, the government printed more money causing hyperinflation. Poor people suffered but middle classes suffered the most. This is an extremely unstable and hard time for Germany. Then, the new Chancellor Stresemann resolved these problems. He renegotiated the period for the payment of debt and borrowed loans from the US. The Dawes Plan worked successfully and the Germans economy recovered until 1929. Themes of the id, a selfish, primal, version of one s self concerned only with physical desires; the superego, part of a person s psyche that is only worried about ideals and morals; and the ego, the rational part of the brain that attempts to satisfy both the id and superego natures make up an immense proportion of the breakdown of this story. Evan and Winsome are described as New Age hippies and over friendly . Their dress reminds me of how a choir robe would look. She shows compassion for this abandoned creature, one of the greatest emotions expressed in terms of the superego. When Kim declares that she doesn t understand how Winsome could possibly cry for these things and that they are disgusting , Winsome thinks Kim is being judgmental. This is an archetypal viewpoint of the superego, as she says this with almost a condescending tone in her voice. The Schaefers appear to be a moral, sensitive couple that cares deeply for all manner of peoples and this supremely annoys Kim and the narrator. How Does PatonUse Metaphors In Cry The Beloved Country In 1948, apartheid was enacted by the all white national party in South Africa. The purpose was to separate whites from non whites, and to decrease the power and success of non whites. Their development of morality can create or mend a division in society. Possessing a strong moral foundation provides the ability to face personal challenges. Cry, The Beloved Country chronicles the emotional journey Stephen Kumalo takes to cope with the sin he faces, internally and externally. The trial of his son, Absalom, for the murder of Arthur Jarvis, poses as a spiritual trial for Kumalo himself. Right Triangle ResearchPaper There are six trigonometric ratios that one must know in order to find any angle in a right triangle. There are various of ways to remember these trigonometric ratios, but the most common way is through SOHCAOTOA. By having this clear in your memory, it will allow one to remember at least the three basic trigonometric ratios: Sine (sin.), Cosine (cos.), and Tangent (tan.). Before one learns about how SOHCAOTOA is split up, we must learn about the angles in a right triangle. First off, the hypotenuse is the longest line in a triangle, then in order to find the adjacent and opposite, one must locate where the angle. Upon locating the angle, we can conclude that the opposite is further away from the angle, whereas the adjacent is the closer one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In short, these three trig. ratios are the reciprocal of sine (sin.), cosine (cos.), and tangent (tan.). Although many may assume that cosecant is the reciprocal of cosine, it is actually that of sine, which means that cosecant is hypotenuse over opposite. Thereafter, that leaves us with secant, which is in fact the reciprocal of cosine, demonstrating that it is hypotenuse over adjacent. Nonetheless, cotangent is the last trig. ratio, meaning that it is the reciprocal of tangent, being rather adjacent over opposite. Now, we know the formulas for these trigonometric functions being: Csc=HypotenuseOpposite, Sec=HypotenuseAdjacent, and Cot=AdjacentOpposite . For example, the triangle on the next page is a 7 24 25 right triangle, and we must determine the six trigonometric ratios for angle C of the right triangle. Based off this information, we can determine that the adjacent is 7, with the opposite being 24 and hypotenuse as 25. It also provides professionals who work with children to set a common policy and commitments to deliver the best quality of early year education and childcare experience to all involved. Chelation Therapy ResearchPaper WHAT IS CHELATION THERAPY? Chelation refers to the removal of toxins and heavy metals from the cells and organs of the body. Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum, arsenic and others accumulate in our body over time through daily exposure. These toxins are stored in our organs and can gradually corrode our health. Since they are so tightly bound within the cell, an agent must be used with a strong attraction to the toxins to pull them out. That agent is the chemical EDTA. This is a man made amino acid that is FDA approved for the removal of lead. It has been in use since the 1950s. It is also known to have an affinity for other heavy metals and can pull those out of the cells of the body as well. Once bound to the EDTA, the heavy metals are flushed out through the urine. The presence of heavy metals is known to cause hypertension, damage to arteries leading to heart disease , Damage the brain cells increasing the risk of dementia, Parkinson s and other diseases, damage to the organs of the body increasing the risk of cancer. The Effects OfPeer Pressure On Children Teenagers feel peer pressure everyday in their lives, whether in school or out in the town. During teenage years, kids in school differentiate themselves from their parents. Not only do teenagers give in to peer pressure, but also come up with unintelligent ideas at school. Thinking and feeling that their ideas are worth a million dollars. One of my friends in my math class at Spanish Fork Junior High came up with a careless idea that ended very reckless causing someone to get injured. When your friends come up with a crazy idea you need to keep in mind that consequences can occur if you give into peer pressure. Peer pressure not only has negative consequences, but also can have positive outcomes as well. In ninth grade my friends were playing out in the fields throwing footballs at each other during lunch time. Next to us there were a couple of girls who were doing tricks on each other shoulders. They were on the Spanish Fork High School Drill Team, and that s when Chris got the idea that we should all try to do what they were doing. I noticed some girls were doing flips from each others shoulders. Chris, who considered himself to be very strong and athletic thought that it was the coolest thing. He wanted me to get on his shoulders and do back flips off. I told him no several times. He kept insisting that I would be fine. A Brief NoteOn The And Licensed Contractors In August of 2014, Hurricane Iselle hit the Island of Hawaii, where I live. She was violent and mean as she swept across our shores. In her wake, our electricity and telephone lines went down. I wondered for weeks as the telephone and electricity repair crew worked 24 hours, seven days a week trying to restore service to all of us in need. Despite the drawbacks of broken power lines, fallen trees, and no water, I felt confident that those repairing the lines were certified electricians and licensed contractors. Our lives today are filled with a vast number of products with some kind of implanted computer part and software program. We used to enjoy the slumber of using a basic analog phone or television. Remember the IBM Selecta, manual calculators, and books that you can check out at the library to read? How about something as simple as boiling eggs on an old fashion firewood stove? Pros And ConsOf Raising The Driving Age For most kids turning sixteen is what they look forward to for years. After countless hours of driver s education, and driving around with their guardian, they can finely gain some freedom. Receiving a license gives one independence, responsibility, and more opportunities. Therefore; raising the driving age is unfair and ineffective. Raising the legal driving age lowers job opportunity. Advanced Persistent ThreatAt Sony Picture Entertainment (... Introduction According to lecture note and presentation from Dr. Tamir Bechor on October 21, 2016, advanced persistent threat: (i) pursues its objectives repeatedly over an extended period of time; (ii) adapts to defenders efforts to resist it; and (iii) is determined to maintain the level of interaction needed to execute its objectives. (Bechor, 2016) These objectives include building and strengthening its harmful system within an organization infrastructure in order to disrupt activities, obstruct normal operations, and extract sensitive information. Hence, this paper will clarify how advanced persistent threats (APTs) were achieved in the Sony Picture Entertainment (SPE) breach. In addition, examine the characteristics of the SPE threat level and adversary level relating to the threat actors capabilities, intent, and targets. Moreover, review why SPE previous security vulnerabilities and weaknesses or significant investments didn t benefit to detect or prevent this breach. Although the attack on Sony Corporation in 2011 to its network might not have been related to this incident in 2014, it has been proven the hackers behind the SPE attack exploited a previously undisclosed or unknown [Zero Day] vulnerability in its computer systems that gave them unlimited access to the entirety of SPE s network. The Physiological Effectsof Renovascular Hypertension... Renovascular hypertension, also known as renal hypertension, is a condition in which chronically elevated high blood pressure is caused by a narrowing of the renal arteries. The renal arteries are the arteries that bring blood to the kidneys (9). This blood is processed by which the kidneys filter the blood, removing some substances and sometimes adding others. The kidneys also have several functions, which can be negatively affected by renovascular hypertension. One function is the regulation of water and ion balances within the body. Concept 1: Renal Artery Stenosis as the Cause of Renovascular Hypertension Renovascular hypertension is most commonly caused by prerenal factors, which are conditions that result in a decrease in blood flow to the kidney, which is also known as hypoperfusion. In many cases, the prerenal factor that causes renovascular hypertension is renal artery stenosis. Renal artery stenosis is defined as the narrowing of the renal artery that produces a decrease in blood flow into the kidneys (3). Renal artery stenosis is most often caused by atherosclerosis (1). Atherosclerosis occurs when there is a buildup of fatty substances within the walls of the arteries, which is what causes the narrowing. The fatty substances, like cholesterol and triglycerides, harden over time and become plaque, which increases the resistance of the arteries by decreasing the circumference, but also by making the arteries less elastic (5). When arteries are less elastic, they are unable to expand and recoil properly, which causes stiffening. Factors that can lead to atherosclerosis include a poor diet that is high in fat, physical inactivity, and cigarette smoking (1). When the narrowing of the renal artery occurs, there is a decrease in blood flow ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Persuasive Essay OnProfessional Athletes Professional athletes are some of the most admired and scrutinized people in the world. Some of the most recognizable people in popular culture are athletes; Forbes annual list of the 100 Most Popular Celebrities in the World lists three athletes in the top 20 (Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, and Lionel Messi, respectively), and thirty one in the entire list (Forbes). While this list is extremely objective, the immense popularity, athletes is undeniable. Hundreds of millions of people attend at least one professional sporting event each year, and athletes are seen as leaders in our society, both on and off the playing field. However, the fact that people hold athletes to such extreme standards is not necessarily fair. The freedom to promote their own personalities should be contractually ensured for professional athletes because the freedom to promote their own personalities helps them be a more complete person and balance their own personal lives and interests with their professional lives. The freedom to wear what they want, say what they believe in, do what they want, and just be the person that they are makes it so that there are athletes who can be role models to everyone of all beliefs. Without this freedom, athletes are one dimensional figures who are created and controlled by the population, which takes away from their opportunity to become people that can set good examples for children. French Colonialism UnmaskedBy Ruth Ginio Ruth Ginio analyzes three dramatic years in the history of French West Africa, from 1940 to 1943, in her book, French Colonialism Unmasked: The Vichy Years in French West Africa. She examines the Vichy regime s attempt to impose the National Revolution ideology in the region. Vichy France was the pro Axis government headed by Marshal Philippe Pétain from 1940 to 1944 during World War II. Pétain established an authoritarian regime that never joined the Axis alliance, though it did have similarities to totalitarianism and fascism. Ginio argues this to be a historically divisive period in the region by providing an in depth examination of Vichy colonial visions and practices in French West Africa. She describes captivating encounters between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She presents distinctive arguments on how Vichy s pretense of republican colonialism and its propaganda fall by the way side. Both change and traditional propaganda presented in the second part were still visible; however, Ginio offers solid evidence of Vichy s rejection of racial equality or the incorporation of sociopolitical incorporation. She argues that the administration exposed their doctrine of absolute colonial hierarchy where earlier regime s colonial administration officials at least partially veiled their absolute authority. She asserts that previous regime had lent energy to propaganda focused on assimilation ideals and of raising technological and cultural levels of Africans...perhaps even obtaining sociopolitical equality. Ultimately, however, she laments that, the Vichy colonial administration did not see itself as in any way obligated to the discourse of republican assimilation (p 110). Ginio further argues that the Vichy Regime rejected any kind of assimilation between colonialists and Africans completely and began to emphasize racial differences and colonial hierarchy. The Regime, therefore had no problem implementing a policy of segregation based on race rather than on other more blurred categorizations (p ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was believed by the public analysts on Reuters and the New York Times that Bridgestone collected market power with 800 Pep Boys entities and fabricated light auto service expertise in addendum to that. Pep Boys and Bridgestone both delineate on their corporate indexes that they are acclimated to the automotive activities of service, maintenance, and repair. The sale of tires, certain percentages of automotive repair, and equipment are familiar between Bridgestone and Pep Boys and will be matriculated among the 3,000 locations, which Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson would profess is operational relatedness. Pep Boys and Bridgestone also display corporate relatedness through the information from IBIS and Bloomberg. Bloomberg asserted that Bridgestone already operates more than 2,200 tire and automotive centers across the U.S., and the merger will create the world s largest chain of its kind (Boyden and Clothier, np). It is stated earlier how IBIS discussed that Pep Boys is labeled as the only national chain offering automotive services, tires, parts and accessories ( Major Companies, np). Given these two quotations, the core competency of Pep Boys will be attributed to Bridgestone. Basically, Pep Boys and Bridgestone have intense operational relatedness because of a degree of market association in the United States, and also have an isolated amount of corporate relatedness through Pep Boy s core ... Biology, Pragmatism andContradiction Essay Biology, Pragmatism and the Question of Contradiction ABSTRACT: In this article I present H. R. Maturana s work as an alternative that reinforces pragmatism in the task of thinking philosophy through the evolution of biological species. I try to demonstrate how Maturana s biology dilutes the principal argument against American Neo pragmatism. This criticism uses the argument of performative contradiction as it has developed in the European Neo Kantian philosophy. Thus, I begin by presenting Apel. s arguments which are contrary the perspective of the detranscendentalization of the Post Nietzschenian philosophy. I conclude that analytical philosophy is a fecund point of contact between Maturana s biology and American Pragmatism, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then, I would like to use a specific kind of reasoning as the filament of this discussion. I reefer to the argument of the performative contradiction, central in contemporary philosophical discussion. The argument of performative contradiction had been used by Aristotle to justify the Principle of Contradiction. As shown by Cirne Lima, contemporary philosophy has rescued this type of argument trough the Philosophy of Robert Heiss, Austin and Apel. In one of his papers, Apel points to the historical origins of the argument that he proposes as a method to establish a non metaphysical ultimate foundation to knowledge and ethics. In this article, Apel begins his argumentation by partially accepting the Münchhausian s trilemma. As has been demonstrated by Hans Albert every ultimate foundation implies: either a) in a regression to the infinite; b) in a logical circle in which part of the argumentation includes exactly that we would suppose to be settled; or c) in a dogmatic interruption of the foundational regress. Apel accepts only partially this trilemma because he believes that this difficult in the structure of ultimate foundation is applied only to Metaphysical Philosophy and not to Post Metaphysical Philosophy. In fact, Apel attempts to demonstrate the possibility of a non metaphysical ultimate foundation. Apel reflects about the Falsificationism and attempts to transport into Philosophy what was supposed to be the mechanism of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
