Throughout William Shakespeare s tragedy Macbeth, the characters of Macbeth and
Lady Macbeth develop profoundly differently over the course of the play. Macbeth s
character transforms from a noble hero to an ambitious, blood thirsty murderer. When
Macbeth is on the battlefield, he is heroic and brave by defeating the traitors of
King Duncan and the Norwegian Army, and he is crowned as Thane of Cawdor.
Later in the play, Macbeth cold heartedly murders his King, a woman and her
children, and his own beloved friend. This illustrates Macbeth s drastic
transformation from a hero to a murderer. On the contrary, Lady Macbeth changes
from a manipulative, ruthless wife, and an accomplice to murder, into a guilt ridden,
and a paranoid madwoman who commits suicide. When Lady Macbeth and her
husband are quarrelling, she insults her husband s manliness to make him commit the

Sanford Bates, the director of U.S. Bureau of Prisons, said, Alcatraz should be
reserved for desperate or irredeemable types of individuals. I immediately came to
the conclusion that this had to be true after my first glance at the island as I could
not possibly imagine standard criminals being deplorable enough to be sent to rot

As I hurried up the pathway that was as steep as the grand canyon, I felt like I was
completely out of shape since I was having an extremely strenuous time trudging
along the almost perpendicular walkway compared to the elderly couple in front of
me. I attempted to imagine how the inmates must have felt when they first got to
Alcatraz and were forced to traipse up the walkway with chains clanging around
their feet and hands as guards surrounded them as an enraged wind tugged at their

Martin Luther King Jr was an inspirational man who helped save lives through his
activism in the mid 1950s. He was passionate in his non violent protests, which
helped to raise awareness of racial inequalities in America. All of his passionate
work led to significant political changes, such as ending segregation through his
speeches. Without him, we would not have multiple races in the same places as
whites. He inspired many people of color to stand up for what they thought was

Baptist church in Atlanta. His mother Alberta Williams King was a teacher. Martin
Luther at the age of fifteen went to Morehouse College, and graduated from there in
1948 without actually graduating high school first. While doing graduate work at
Boston Graduate school, he met Coretta Scott. He later on married Coretta Scott in
1953 on the lawn of her parents house where she grew up in Alabama. They

For this summer, I decided to read The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara. The book
took place during Civil War times and went into good detail on what happened
during the battles at Gettysburg. The first quote that I found interesting was from
the Union Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. The fact of slavery upon this
incredibly beautiful new clean earth was appalling, but more even than that was
the horror of old Europe, the curse of nobility, which the South was transplanting to
new soil (Shaara 27). This quote was significant because it described the feelings
of the average Union soldier towards slavery. The Union fought to end slavery
because as shown by people like Chamberlain, they believed that slavery was

ABSTRACT
Combination of Simian Virus40 (SV40) large T antigen and its replication origin is
commonly used to enhance the expression efficiency of heterogeneous genes in the
host cell by increasing the copy number. Most studies on SV40 large T antigen are
focused on binary fissional yeast and animal cells. Recently, it has been reported that
the SV40 large T antigen interacts with specific cellular proteins that cause slowing
and even blocking of mitotic progression. There is no report related to the impact of
the SV40 Tantigen on plant multiple fissional cell type. Thus, we were targeting the
possibility of using the SV40 combination in further studies to enhance the expression
efficiency of foreign genes in microalgal cells without using selective pressure.
