George Stein s Role At Eastern Diary Essay
George Stein grew up in the suburbs of a major East Coast city. Inevitably, every summer
between school semesters George likes to work so he can continue he interest saturated lifestyle
which includes showing his girlfriend, Cathy, around to fun events and spending money on his
love of hot rods. This semester, after his freshmen year at college, George managed to secure
himself a comfortable union job which offers overtime and a paycheck far larger than he could
have ever received any previous summer. George s new role at Eastern Diary situated him on
the nightshift team where there were no managers, just a team leader, Paul, who everyone on
the shift looked to for direction. Although Paul and the nightshift crew held a sense of
responsibility for getting their work done, the visible artifacts of horseplay tended to supersede
the overall company s element of culture which includes the safety of the employees and
customers. Their role was to follow the production order of ice cream handed to Paul by the day
shift s superintendent. One night in particular, George found the ice cream production line halted
by maggots clogging up the piping. On an occasion in certain bags of ingredients, likely those of
which were left and forgotten, maggots would get in. In order to save the company money, finish
the shift on time and on order, Paul advised George to release the filters and effectively let the
maggots into the ice cream. Staring down the filters of ice cream and

Amanda Knox Essay
9 October 2012
The muder of Meredith Kercher was covered very differently from beginning to end. Media bias
was present on both sides of guilty and not guilty. The story was hard to keep straight as
information was either left out or presented falsely. News articles presented soon after a story, is
useful for awareness of the issue; however, exact details are generally not presented fairly or true
fully.
An article written in 2007 was one of the first published after the murder of Meredith Kercher. This
article has valid information; however, important details were left out which made Amanda seem
guilty. NBC did a respectable job at walking the reader through Merediths murder. They mentioned
suspects, cause of death, and interviewed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Amanda who is the prime suspect, changed her story over and over again during the first few
weeks following the murder. Her first story was that neither she nor her boyfriend, Rafaelle, were
present at the apartment during the murder. She says they were at Rafaelles smoking pot and
having sex ( Murphy Denis). Just five days later her story changed again. She claimed she was
present at their apartment as well as Lumamna, who she claimed killed Meredith. However, during
her court trial, she confessed that Lumumna was never present and that she made the confession
up. Her final confession came back to the first: that she was never at the apartment the night of
November 1, and that she didn t remember much of the night because of the weed. Another thing
covered in Denis Murphy s, NBC news article was hat Amanda claimed to have returned on the
morning of November 2nd and saw traces of a break in, blood on the carpet, but was not alarmed.
Amanda then showered and returned to Ralealles houses. They both returned to the apartment
around 12:30pm when the police showed up and broke down Meredith s door to find the gruesome
murder scene.
Murphy, an NBC news journalist, did a great job of collecting quotes from both sides of Amanda s
personality. When asked about Amandas personality traits, Alexandra, a friend of Amanda s, stated
Generous, kind, genuine, optimistic bubbly. Pretty much all the good words that you can find in

The Politics Of The Global Essay
INTRODUCTION
The Politics of the Global gives us a narration of how development of international political
economy happens and an understanding of globalization. Globalization is frequently analyzed
independently and the author shows how globalization plays out in two multi cultural democracies;
India and USA. It portrays different political possibilities like colonial coercion, post colonial
ambivalence and post colonial co option that are opened by global relays of meanings, identities
and power from historically different locations. Globalization also explores a variety of spaces and
strategies for resisting the colonization of the global. The author identifies bureaucratic delays and
red tape that happens in government of India as the same of a business man who uses technology to
improve productivity and is professional in his approach. It focuses on reconstructing the state s
economy and its government using the SMART simple, moral, accountable, responsive and
transparent governance argument. He characterizes globalization into three narratives; the
rationalist, historical materialist and the constructivist approaches. Each narrative consists of many
theories some of them disagreeing with each other but at the end of the day, each narrative is united
through shared models of understanding and explanation that seeks to go beyond the international
to access the global (Muppidi, 2004, p.3).

In his book, the author brings out globalization and looks at

Film Techniques In Pride And Prejudice
Originally published in 1813, Pride and Prejudice can be recognized as Jane Austen s most
popular novel in the romance genre. Through the years, the book has been adapted into many
films and television series. The 2005 film adaptation directed by Joe Wright brought to life this
Georgian Era romance in its own abridged style. Makes you believe in true love, happily ever after
and all the other stuff a romantic comedy promises but so seldom delivers. Satisfyingly rich. The
sumptuous new screen adaptation has so much to recommend it. (THE NEW YORK TIMES).
Austen portrays a story that focuses on the Bennet family, particularly Elizabeth and her bright,
bubbling romance with the wealthy, highly esteemed Fitzwilliam Darcy. It also entails the ... Show

The Importance Of Youth Literacy Rates In Pakistan
в—ЏYouth Literacy Rates in Pakistan
Literacy rates are important beyond the obvious reasons of having an educated society, as for some
developing countries, the youth may represent the largest segment of the population, which predicts
the future capacity of a nation. For literacy rates to improve, government expenditure on education
is a key indicator for the youth to have accessible education at little to no costs, gain employment
opportunities and be part of the political process of their country (Unicef, 2016). Given the
importance of literacy among children and adults, there is no doubt why it s recognized as a
right for all and contributes not only to modernizing societies but improving economic growth.
The most common understanding of literacy is understood in terms of having a set of discrete
skills such as reading, writing, and skill based training (Midgley, Davies, Oliver, Danaher, 2014,
p. 127). Pervez Musharaf s nine year rule remained of the longest in the history of Pakistan, but

consolidate his power and become more elusive after overthrowing an elected government in 1999,
he put social policies and structural reforms at the top of his priorities, which led to the economy
growing (Khan, Amjad, Din, 2005, p. 456). In fact, his tenure laid the groundwork for important
reforms to build strong institutions, which became apparent by 2008, as not only annual GDP at

History Of Italian Eateries In The United States
Of the many sorts of ethnic eateries in the United States, Italian eateries, including pizza chains,
brag the biggest number. They additionally offer a variety of chances for would be franchisees and
business visionaries and the likelihood of concocting an idea change. Italian eateries owe their
causes to a great extent to poor foreigners from southern Italy, business visionaries who began little
markets, bars, and eateries in Italian neighborhoods in the Northeast. The eateries started serving
their ethnic neighbors heartily seasoned, recognizable sustenances in substantial segments at low
costs.
The nourishments depended on home cooking, including pasta, a glue or batter thing made of wheat
flour and water (in addition to eggs in northern Italy). Spaghetti, from the word spago, which means
string, is a common pasta. Macaroni, another pasta, is tubular in shape. In the north of Italy, ravioli
pasta is loaded down with cheddar or meat; in the south, it might be served in a tomato sauce
without meat. Pastas take different shapes, each with its own name. Pizza is local to Naples, and it

Child Labour in Bangladesh Industry
INTRODUCTION:
Bangladesh is a south Asian country. It is also known as a part of the third world country.
Bangladesh has a unstable economy, and in the 21st century we are still dependent on our
agricultural economic structure. We are trying quite hard to put an impact in the world economic
system. For this we are pursuing the trend of the modernization of the western world. Still we are
facing the economic instability. Changing the aspect of our industrialization and economic
perspective we are trying our best to fit in the world economic system. To the economic system we

This was mitigated in Britain by acts of parliament enacted in 1802 and later years, in other places
of industrialized Europe. Although most European nations had child labour laws by 1940, the
urgency of production during World War II brought many children back into the labour market. In
the United States, the Supreme Court declared Congressional child labour laws unconstitutional in
1918 and 1922. A constitutional amendment was passed in Congress in1924 but it was not
approved by many states. The First Labour Standards Act of 1938 set a minimum age limit of 18
for occupations designated hazardous and 16 for employment in general.
The International Labor Organization, or the ILO, defines child labor as some types of work
done by children under the age of 18. The ILO also says that child labor includes full time work
done by children under 15 years of age that prevents them from going to school (getting an

Wuthering Heights Study Questions
Chapter 1 1. The setting is austere and mysterious. It does not suit Mr. Lockwood quite well; he
finds Wuthering Heights extremely disagreeable and its inhabitants bitter and unsociable. 2.
Wuthering is descriptive of the atmospheric tumult of the novel in that it describes the violent
winds that blow during storms on the moors. Wuthering Heights is removed from society. The
adjective not only describes the setting itself, but the inhabitants as well, who are fierce, strong, and
fervent. 3. Lockwood compares himself to Heathcliff in his hospitality and in his capacity within

Catherine took to Heathcliff, as did Mr. Earnshaw, but Hindley hated the boy and tortured him.
Heathcliff had to be hard and insensible in order to cope with Hindley s abuses. Nelly Dean
repeatedly describes Heathcliff as sullen. 14. Nelly Dean is deceived completely in believing that
Heathcliff was not vindictive.
Chapter 5/6 15. Catherine Earnshaw is rebellious, free spirited, and mischievous. Mr. Earnshaw is
disappointed in Catherine and tells her to go pray. His treatment of her only hardens her and gives
her more pleasure in showing off her power over Heathcliff. 16. Thrushcross Grange has a more
civilized nature than Wuthering Heights. Wuthering Heights is personified by storms, stunted
plants, and characters that cannot fulfill their own passions with ease. Thrushcross Grange is more
enclosed and is not as much exposed to the bitter winds. Gardens and flowers are illustrated in
reference to the Grange, and this evokes a sense of optimism and beauty. The Grange is also more
associated with money and the material world than is Wuthering Heights, which is more connected
to nature. Thrushcross Grange protects the Linton family from Heathcliff and Wuthering Heights
itself.
Chapter 7 17. When Catherine Earnshaw returns to Wuthering Heights, she is more dignified, well
behaved, and dresses better. She is altogether more refined. 18.

Understanding Labyrinthine Essay
Understanding Labyrinthine Labyrinthine. The very sound of that word sums it up as slippery as
thought, as perplexing as the truth, as long and convoluted as a life (Cooper 347). That was how
Bernard Cooper ended his insightful and thought provoking essay Labyrinthine. Those words haunt
me to this very day. Cooper had perfectly described life through the pronunciation of one lone
word, labyrinthine (630). It was through a trivial infatuation, one that started when he was seven,
that Cooper was able to make such a powerful observation. He loved to solve mazes, and he loved
to create them even more. He was so fascinated with mazes that it s no surprise he can so easily
come up with an observation like this. This only proves to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I was one of the powerless. I had no physical prowess. Every day, I would be the target of some
kind of attack. Eventually, though, I built a perfect battle plan, one very similar to the battle
plans my soldiers used to follow. Enter the war zone at 8:27 a.m. Scout the surroundings to
make sure no enemies are in sight. Walk at a steady pace, head down, towards the checkpoint
(the classroom of course). If a charlie is sighted, analyze options; one Charlie, easy to take, no
danger; two Charlie s, tread carefully, may be able to fight back, little danger; three or more
Charlie s, do not approach alone, retreat, high danger. I was able to survive four years of middle
school because of such a small infatuation. Had it become an obsession things could ve been
completely different. Life really is like a maze, complicated and tortuous.
Life is full of twists and turns, choice and consequence, this or that. Just like in a maze, we

end and was too scared to find a way back. He was stuck. He found a comfortable spot in this
maze and stayed there, scared of trying something new, scared of getting lost again. Slowly, he
started to obsess over that spot, tried to make it a perfect place he can just stay in forever, not
thinking about the others around him. Cooper was a different case, although, he, too, hit a

Personal Reflection Of Personal Writing
Hi Professor Savage,
You mention in your email quite a few references to my writing having some serious issues, yet
in the grading not one example was pointed out . I ask that if you believe the same applies to any
part of the draft submission that you highlight at least the one that will explain any significant
point deduction. More, importantly, I would like to know exactly where I can use improvements,
plus I prefer clarity as to where and/or why points were taken off in this class. Sometimes stylistic
choice is mistaken for poor writing or incoherent or illogical as you suggested. I have not come
across any professor that has said so much about my writing (negatively) and not offer any
example. A link in this case is not exactly the solution for all that was implied. Anyhow, my main
goal is to focus on where I can fix it myself, so please. show where, next time thanks.
You said, The essayis not intended to be a personal reflection or a guide for writers but rather an
advocacy for an idea. The journal and notes came across reflective, well, because they re
preliminary tools, the scaffold to the final, right. I understand the draft and final are 3rd POV,
backed by annotation, and my opinion as well, but not delivered as a personal narrative. The
backstory was merely to show I am speaking from some experience. We cannot advocate what we
don t understand, sure credible annotations are needed, but self publishing is a hands on approach,
therefore, subjective, too.
I m concerned about a few things, and then again, not so much knowing all these assignments
leading to the actual final submission are meant to serve us as a form of outline the chaos,
ironed out. As you must be aware brainstorming can happen at any stage. However, I do have a
few comments on some changes you suggested (thanks) and those I have in mind. You said,
concisely, , and I assure you my aim for the final, I don t worry too much at these stages, as I will
rigorously edit, revise and chisel away from the draft, and then polish for the final. Furthermore,
incorporate any feedback if given and are applicable from the workshop and your grading notes. I
m not fond of MindEdge s outline approach, but I do get the gist, while still using what

What Is Tooth Decay In The 50 s
By examining three of the commercials from the 1950s, we can conclude what the initial
perceived dental problem was in the era. In each of the commercials I analyzed, the issue of tooth
decay was mentioned repeatedly. I examined the 1956 Pepsodent commercial, the 1950s Colgate
Dental Cream commercial, and the 1956 Crest commercial. The competing companies all had a
similar substantive characteristic in that they used science and scientific terms to sway their
consumers. In the particular situation of tooth decay, all of the rhetors chose science and special
terminology that would cause a response in their audience. It is hard to argue against science after
all.
Beginning with the 1956 Pepsodent commercial we see that the scientific formula is used but not
explained. According to the cartoon images in the commercial, I.M.P. cleans the teeth and removes
the yellow stains, while Irium fights tooth decay. The science behind these products in the toothpaste
formula is not mentioned. However, the audience can see the cause and effect in relation to those
two ingredients. By using Pepsodent and its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Let America Be America Again Poem Analysis
Analysis of Let America Be America Again Langston Hughes wrote the poem Let America Be
America Again , where he touches on the failure of America to live up to the American dream
that it was meant to be. There is a message full of disappointment and desperation to change the
oppression in America. These are feelings that Hughes knows all too well. He knows the stab in
the back feeling of working hard for a country that does not work hard for the worker and in this
poem, he uses figurative language techniques to express them. The main idea of this poem is that
America promised its people that they would be free, however many American residents were
still enslaved. The author expressed how he has physically lived in America, but he has not lived
in an America that holds up to the values and dreams it was founded on. He expresses this in lines
1 4 when he says, Let it be the dreamit used to be. Let it be the pioneer on the plain, seeking a
home where he himself is free. (America never was America to me) . America was supposed to
be a dream come true where all men were free and able to have equal opportunity. Hughes uses
alliteration and repetition to emphasize this point. However, the black, the poor, and the oppressed
never experienced this promised America. Langston Hughes recognizes in the poem that it is not
right for the people who live and work in and love America to be enslaved by social injustice.
During Hughes time during the early 20th century, the country

Routing the water to benefit Boston is yet another option besides holding it back. Flood proofing
infrastructures from potential risks is another of Boston s reactions towards rising sea levels, as
well as floating and elevating buildings ( Sea Change: Boston Exhibition ). The article Sea
Change: Boston Exhibition simplifies the steps of action as fortify, adapt, and retreat. These
three simple words are key concepts within this momentous environmental conversation. Flood
proofing buildings is a mode of fortifying because Bostonians will strengthen their walls in doing
so. This method must be durable enough to hold back repeated surges of water during storms.
Floating buildings in the flood is a way of incorporating the water into the city s overall
landscape. It is a way of adaptation when fortifying infrastructure does not suffice. Still, the
building will need a type of flood proofing substance to keep water out. These structures will
appear drastically different than the current city built on land. As for elevation, this is a method of
retreating from rising seas. It is a way of escaping the waters when all else disappoints and having
this third option available brings confidence. Raising the geography

Media Frames
In this era of political polarization and increasingly partisan news outlets, it has become simply for
people to find press sources that agree with their worldview. However, even in these situations it is
important to consider how mainstream sources choose to frame and issue. The journalism industry
depends upon conventions and those conventions can help to shape and influence coverage
(Richardson, 2007). Furthermore the language choices that journalists made influence how the
public perceives coverage (Richardson, 2007). In the example of the coverage of Kim Davis the
argument has multiple stakeholders, yet journalism s traditions leave the expectation that the
debate will be geared toward conflict (McCaffrey Keys, 2000; Levasseur, Sawyer,... Show more

Two New Approaches on the Horizon for Mesothelioma Treatment
Mayo Clinic researchers and theirs teams are targeting pleural mesothelioma with two very

The other examines a new use for an existing drug.
The reason for the studies? Mesothelioma cases have been on the rise in recent years, especially in
Minnesota s northern Iron Range region, where the mining of taconite poses a significant

times in patients by six months.
Unlike traditional chemotherapy, pazopanib uses a targeted approach to kill cancer cells. Instead of
killing all rapidly growing and dividing cells, it targets cancer cells that rapidly form new blood
vessels. Because this approach targets the cancer cells alone, instead of also targeting otherwise

Choosing The Coastline Analysis
I decided to choose coastlines as my theme because I haven t properly studied it before; I ve
looked at nature and animals, but not the coast. I also love all the surface textures that can be
found on the coast, they are all rough and worn away. Close up pictures are my interest and the
coastline has so many amazing textures which I find are important to capture in a paintingor piece of
artwork. Colour is an important thing to consider when looking at each chosen subject, every
colour matters in a painting, it helps create a mood and an atmosphere, it gives life to a painting.

Stroke
A stroke, sometimes called a brain attack, is an injury to the brain due to blockage or rupture of
blood vessels. (Patient Family Education Handbook UCLA Stroke Center Page 8) Stroke most often
occurs when blood flow to the brain has stopped due to a clot, but it can also be caused by
bleeding in the brain. The brain cells in the area begin to die due to lack of oxygen and the
nutrients they need to work correctly. Hippocrates the father of medicine was the first to
identity stroke more than 2,400 years ago. He called it apoplexy which is Greek for struck down by
violence . In the 1600s a doctor named Jacob Wepfer discovered that people who died from
apoplexy had something that was disrupted in the brains blood supply. There were massive
bleeding in the brain or arteries were blocked in some of the cases Jacob Wepfer seen. Apoplexy

Collective Identity Within The Gay Community And Women s...
Collective Identity within the Gay Community and Women s Liberation Movement
The gay community and women s liberation movement were both formed through collective
identities and political/oppositional consciousness. Moreover, both groups were discriminated
against by external social structures and yet, succeeded due to internal factors. Whittier and Taylor
describe collective identity as the shared definition of a group that derives from member s common
interests, experiences, and solidarity (Whittier 105). The gay community was being oppressed for
their sexuality while women were being suppressed based on their gender. Although both
communities formed collective identities, they experienced numerous obstacles in unifying their
movements, the most notable being race and ethnicity. Since both groups were being discriminated
against due to factors out of their control, they formed collective identities and created
communities, which propelled their movements forward.
The shift from agricultural economy to capitalism changed family dynamics, and was directly
linked to the appearance of a collective gay life (D emilio 102). In an agricultural society,
families used to work together to produce food, clothing and other goods (D emilio 103). There
was, quite simply no social space in colonial systems of production that allowed men and women
to be gay (D emilio 104). In essence, survival was structured around a nuclear family until the
emergence of the free labor

The Movement Of The Jewish Culture
Furthermore, by using the feminist interpretation within this passage, Jesus didn t want to discard
tradition but wants to reform the freedom of woman from the restrictions and limitations of the
rules and regulations of the Jewish culture and the tradition by bringing more equality in society.
Women s lives in Jesustime were overruled and dominated by a male figure , who were to control
every aspect in their lives. This was due to the fact that women were seen to be unholy more
inclined to being sinful, and were submissive; hence one of Jesus missions became to reform the
image of women. Hence by using the feminist interpretation method, I can conclude that Jesus
intentions of preaching to Mary, was for him to reform the Jewish culture, by spreading hope and
strength among women standing up for a new culture and a generation which will create a new and
equal society.
Therefore, by using the feminist interpretation within this passage, we can conclude that in Jesus
time, Jesus was a strong advocate to reforming society and allowing women to become equals to
men, as God has created us all in the image and likeness of himself, hence why all humans are
precious and a gift because God is precious and a gift. Jesus said Mary has chosen the better path
, which implies the message of salvation is significant to all people. Hence, everyone is eligible to
listen to the words of the Lord not just men but also women. Therefore, this passage, emphasises the

I Tonya Film Analysis
You know you are getting old when Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan are becoming dated
references but that is where we are on the brink of 2018. Arguably the biggest scandal in the
history of ice skating happened in the early 1990s and here to tell the story from Tonya s point of
view is the film I, Tonya.
I, Tonya is a documentary style film about the life of controversial figure skater Tonya Harding,
born in the boonies of Portland, Oregon Tonya dealt with an abusive mother raising her to be a
child prodigy in the figure skating world. However, her attitude leads to many fights with judges
who never gave her the recognition she deserves being the first US female skater to land a triple
double. It is here she meets her first husband; Jeff Gillooly who was also abusive to her but was
behind her throughout her skating career. One night during the 1994 U.S. Figure Skating
Championships in Detroit, Jeff conspires to scare Nancy Kerrigan giving Tonya a better chance of
winning. His associate Shawn Eckardt decides to take matters into his own hands and has Nancy
attacked during training leading to the infamous scandal that ruined Harding s career. ... Show more

The film is a dark satire that actually plays the real life events of Tonya s life as closely as they
can. Director Craig Gillespie has the cast recreate actual interviews he conducted with the real
life people involved with the exception of Tonya s mother played by Allison Janney. Allison had
free range to bring her own spin to the character (the reason she was nominated for a Golden
Globe). Sebastian Stan plays a key role as Tonya s abusive husband Jeff who real life version of
the events and how they unfolded conflicts with Tonya s version of the story. The rest of the
supporting cast is as true to the real events as they can be. As a matter of fact, I found an old

Human s Selfishness vs. Sympathy in The Very Old Man with...
The Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, by Gabriel MГЎrquez, is related to the classical theme
of human s selfishness verses sympathy. However, MГЎrquez uses narrative elements such as plot,
setting, and different characters, to provide much more in depth sources of evidence to support his
theme.
In The Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, MГ
Ўrquez uses an Old Man who is supposed to be an
angel to display human s tendencies to show both brutality and/or grace depending on the
situation. The bizarre, tattered looking man with wings is found in a town to see a little boy who

MГЎrquez uses The Old Man character, or angel, to show how someone is perceived differently

traditional way the citizens would view a heavenly angel and is considered more freakily than
heavenly. His huge buzzard wings, dirty and

Making fun of politicians is a time honored tradition (Blair). Political satire is a part of satire that
intends to expose and criticize foolishness, corruption and hypocrisy in politics. Political satire,
unlike protests, only wants to make a mockery of politics. Political satire has been around for
ages, in the United States it has been around since the colonial days where the founding fathers

Franklins Case
1.Overview of Situation Franklins was the first supermarket chain launched no frills brand of
generic products in Australia. The company was positioned as a low prices supermarket. The
operations of Franklins were based on cost reduction principles that involved limited promotion,

According to Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (1999), Franklins as the third

industry is developing positively. Australian Bureau of Statistics. (2014) reported supermarket trend

issue as Franklins was not achieved mass extension and re formatting organisation since 2001.
3)Discipline issues: Due to fail changing organisation, the marketing and communication strategies

Charlemagne King Of The Franks
Charlemagne King of the Franks
Born in about 742, Charlemagne was the son of King Pepin III (known as Pepin the Short). Pepin
and his brother together ruled the Franks, whose kingdom included parts of present day France,
Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. Upon Pepin s death in 768, Charlemagne and his brother
Carloman inherited the kingdom. When Carloman died three years later, Charlemagne became the
sole ruler.
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the great was a ruler in times of turmoil in Europe during
the middle ages. Charlemagne came from a powerful family tree which made a huge impact on
why he rose to power. His family history and their backgrounds is what prepared him to take on
the task of becoming King of the Frankish Empire and protecting it from intruders. Charlemagne
accomplished much during his reign. He focused on bringing education back into medieval
Europe but, also discovered a more efficient way to govern his people. His conquests against the
adversaries of the Holy Roman Empire is what lead to his expansion and spreading his Empire
across most of Europe which he eventually established the Carolingian Empire in the later years of
his supremacy. This also led to strong relationships with the Catholic Church and the State.
Charlemagne s goal was to spread Christianity throughout all of Europe and was willing to fight for
his religion. One group in particular he fought with the most was the Saxons who he nearly
eliminated their whole population.

According to Texas myth carpetbaggers were taking over positons in office, and dominating

The Violation Of Human Rights

the violation of the human rights of people with disabilities. I have a passion for working with
people that have disabilities and I think so much more should be done for them. The United States
have made great strides in being respectful for their human rightsand it is time to see the rest of the
world step up and take responsibility. There is also much more needed to be done in the United
States but we have come so far. I decided to use the human rights violation of people with
disabilities because I want to work with them in the future and it is important to know what
hardships they face around the world. I need to help be a voice for them. The first article I read
about human rights with people with disabilities was titled We Need to Stop Treating People

the world to speak with disabled people. She saw a five year old girl dressed in rags and chained

too often because people with disabilities are seen as unhuman. Often times around the world,
children with disabilities are put in institutions and sometimes takes straight from the mothers after

Ophelia Character Analysis
In the play, Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Ophelia, the daughter of Polonius, is seen as a fair
maiden who wants her love with Hamlet to be eternal. Due to the many warnings from her father
Polonius and her brother Laertes, she succumbs to her father s wishes and plays the role of a good
daughter, thus betraying Hamlet. Previously in the play where Hamlet gives his soliloquy on life
and death, Ophelia has been ordered to break off her relationship with Hamlet while Polonius
eavesdrops to prove that Hamlet has truly gone mad. As a result of Hamlet s supposed madness and
Ophelia s docile character during the confrontation, both of their fragile hearts shatter and Ophelia
begins her dark descent into madness, leading to her eventual death.
Throughout acts one and two of the play, Ophelia in Hamlet s eyes is seen as one of the only
fair and trustworthy outliers in the array of deception. After his soliloquy about life and death
with its dark and apathetic tone, there is a shift when Ophelia is in his presence. As Hamlet
realizes his beloved is approaching, he commands himself, Soft you now! to make sure Ophelia
does not hear what he is saying as if not to corrupt this beauty from heaven (Shakespeare III.i.86).
His mood perks up and the tone of his words become more endearing when he calls her a Nymph
(III.i.87). Shakespeare s diction here further builds upon how the audience sees their relationship.
The positive connotation of this word puts Ophelia on a pedestal while

Weight Loss Plan For A New Year s Resolution
I was determined to keep searching for more ways to lose weight! For some unknown reason, I
started soul searching, trying to figure out where I was going wrong with New Year s
resolutions. I was trying to figure out why it was so hard for me to stick to my New Year s
resolutions, until the end of the year. Out of all the things that I couldn t stay committed to during
a New Year s resolution, I didn t care about them, like I cared about sticking to a resolution to lose
weight. I began to closely analyze all the possible reasons why I failed at whatever traditional
weight lossplan, I tried in the past. I also had to analyze why I wasn t able to consistently keep the
weight off, without strict dieting. I hated how strict dieting made me feel! I couldn t help but
believe that, there had to be a way for me to lose weight and keep it off without punishing myself
with strict dieting. I knew that if I was going to lose weight and keep it off, that I had to use
healthier weight loss strategies other than the ones that I d used in the past. I also knew that, in
order for me to have continued success, that my resolution had to consist of me losing weight,
without ever making a New Year s resolution. I decided to start with not eatingany fried foods. I felt
like this was the best choice. I learned that fried foods were not only unhealthy for my waistline,
but also increases the risk of heart failure and other chronic conditions. I also didn t eat any

North Carolina Museum Analysis
North Carolina Museum of Art: A Peaceful Journey It must have been 13 years or so since I
have been to the art museum, back in elementary school, on a one of a kind field trip. 13 years is
way too long to have been away from the art museum, as my experience this year reminded me
that. It was a beautiful, sunny October day, although it felt like July, and it was an even better day
to talk a walk through the vast, mesmerizing pieces of art that the museum has to offer. The North
Carolina Museum of Art provides an abundance of artwork from various time periods, cultures, and
one can find art anywhere from Egyptian, to classical, to modern and contemporary art. The
artwork that the museum provides not only displays an abundance of artwork, but... Show more

Two of the paintings I came across, Ludolf Backhuysen, Ships in a Stormy Sea off a Coast, and
Philips Wouwerman, Stag Hunt in a River were very similar in many ways. First of all, they were
both European art, they are both 200 plus years old, and they both show very hectic times. The first
painting, Ships in a Stormy Sea, displays several ships, (although it is hard to see the other 4),
being almost entirely swallowed by an angry, wavy ocean, during an extremely stormy journey.
All of the ships are at different levels and some are leaned over, and tipped more than others,
allowing the viewer to realize the true horror occurring in this painting. The amount of line that
this artist uses in this painting is tremendous as well, as he presents plenty of diagonal lines
throughout the painting, such as on all of the ships sails. This piece of art is extremely realistic
and gives me chills when I imagine what these sailors must have been dealing with that night.
Not only does this painting show a hectic time, but another painting titled, Stag Hunt in a River.
This painting displays a village, in the mountains, lying on a river, where hunters, horses, and
dogs of the village are attacking a deer that is attempting to escape from them. This painting
seems to describe a very hectic time for everyone, as the dogs are desperately trying to do their
job, the deer is attempting to escape, and the hunters are relying on the deer for their food.
Although there are many obvious differences in these two paintings, the roles are reversed in the
two, as in Ships in a Stormy Sea, nature is doing the damage, while the people are trying to avoid
danger. On the other hand, Stag Hunt in a River, displays nature being attacked and endangered by
the people themselves. My favorite

In line with standard procedures, Static IP addresses will be retained for servers and networked
equipment as this allows for an easier collation and management of such devices at each site.
Overly Complex Routing Table Resolution Details With the network performance issues being
addressed through a restructuring and the implementation of specific VLANs the routers
themselves can be optimized by the removal of the current, singular routing table which has
grown so complex with a Virtual Routing Forwarding (VRF) instance which permits several
routing tables to exist at any one time, all of which can be updated with network and boundary

My Reflection Of The Humanities And Communications Program
The Humanities and Communications Program was a mystery to me when I first heard about
it. Many of my friends were in the Math/Science Program, so I heard many stories about projects
and activities done there. I only knew a few people in the Humanities Program, so when I got
the acceptance letter, I had a mix of emotions. I had worry and fear along with joy, but I was
tensed about the people I would meet and the different projects I would have to do. The worry
and fear ebbed away after I met my classmates. There were students from incredibly broad
backgrounds whom I would be working with. I was surprised when the acuity of my peers and the
vast amount of ideas they had. As I went through sixth and seventh grade, I formed strong
friendships with my peers. Although the application process and program at first were daunting, I
m glad I decided to choose the center program rather than going to my home middle school.
I first heard of the middle school magnet program when I was in fourth grade. A few of my friends
were attending the the Math Science Program and were pouring their feelings about it. Being a
fourth grader with limited knowledge about the Upcounty Center Program, I felt out of place with
them, so I decided to listen to their conversation. I learned about what exactly the Upcounty Center
Program was and the esteemed reputation it had among our family friend group. In fact, it wasn t
only our family friend group that thought that getting accepted into the magnet

Business Income And Capital Gains
It is a case decided by the Madras High Court in 2014. It dealt with the issue of differentiating
between Business Income and Capital Gains with respect to share dealings. The Assessment year
of the present case is 2005 06.
Facts:
a.The assessee was a trader in shares. The assessee was trading in two segments in stock exchange,
viz., cash segment and Future and Options (F O) segment. Admittedly, the assessee had two
different portfolios one as investment and another as stock in trade. While profits from trading in
cash market upto September 30, 2004, was offered to tax under the head Business , similar gains
subsequent to that date was offered to tax under the head Short term capital gains .
b.The Assessing Officer viewed that on an average, the holding period of these shares ranged from
2 to 45 days or less.
c.The assessee had also taken funding for trading in securities and had shown the profits made
through the funding as capital gains. Taking the view that the transactions made in cash segment
from 1 10 2004 to 31 3 2005, were all executed in the normal course of business and not as
investments, assessment was sought to be made as business income.
d.This was countered by the assessee that he had held the shares for earning dividend income and
capital appreciation and he had also borrowed capital for the purpose of business.
e.The Assessing Officer held that the transactions during the period 1 4 2004 to 30 9 2004, were
treated by the assessee as stock in trade

And Nygaard (1996) said In object oriented programming, an information process is regarded as a
system developing through transformation of its state. The substance of the process is organized
as the system components, called objects. A measurable property of the substance is a property of
an object. Transformation of state is regarded as actions by objects.
Mathiasen et el. (2000) gave the following description In many traditional Analysis and design
methods, functions, data, and data flows are the key concepts (5). The concepts are suitable for
describing phenomena in offices and computerized systems. Objects, states, and behavior on the
other hand, are more general concepts and are suitable for describing most phenomena that can be
expressed in natural language.
Object oriented programming (OOP) and object oriented design (OOD) refer to a particular way
of organizing programs, one which is rapidly emerging as the preferred approach for building
complex software systems (Morelli, R, 2000 pg. 5). Sommerville (2001) gave the following
definitions: Object oriented analysis is concerned with developing an object oriented model of the
application domain. The identified objects reflect entities and operations that are associated with
the problem to be solved. Object oriented

  • 2. George Stein s Role At Eastern Diary Essay George Stein grew up in the suburbs of a major East Coast city. Inevitably, every summer between school semesters George likes to work so he can continue he interest saturated lifestyle which includes showing his girlfriend, Cathy, around to fun events and spending money on his love of hot rods. This semester, after his freshmen year at college, George managed to secure himself a comfortable union job which offers overtime and a paycheck far larger than he could have ever received any previous summer. George s new role at Eastern Diary situated him on the nightshift team where there were no managers, just a team leader, Paul, who everyone on the shift looked to for direction. Although Paul and the nightshift crew held a sense of responsibility for getting their work done, the visible artifacts of horseplay tended to supersede the overall company s element of culture which includes the safety of the employees and customers. Their role was to follow the production order of ice cream handed to Paul by the day shift s superintendent. One night in particular, George found the ice cream production line halted by maggots clogging up the piping. On an occasion in certain bags of ingredients, likely those of which were left and forgotten, maggots would get in. In order to save the company money, finish the shift on time and on order, Paul advised George to release the filters and effectively let the maggots into the ice cream. • 3. Amanda Knox Essay 9 October 2012 The muder of Meredith Kercher was covered very differently from beginning to end. Media bias was present on both sides of guilty and not guilty. The story was hard to keep straight as information was either left out or presented falsely. News articles presented soon after a story, is useful for awareness of the issue; however, exact details are generally not presented fairly or true fully. An article written in 2007 was one of the first published after the murder of Meredith Kercher. This article has valid information; however, important details were left out which made Amanda seem guilty. NBC did a respectable job at walking the reader through Merediths murder. They mentioned suspects, cause of death, and interviewed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Amanda who is the prime suspect, changed her story over and over again during the first few weeks following the murder. Her first story was that neither she nor her boyfriend, Rafaelle, were present at the apartment during the murder. She says they were at Rafaelles smoking pot and having sex ( Murphy Denis). Just five days later her story changed again. She claimed she was present at their apartment as well as Lumamna, who she claimed killed Meredith. However, during her court trial, she confessed that Lumumna was never present and that she made the confession up. Her final confession came back to the first: that she was never at the apartment the night of November 1, and that she didn t remember much of the night because of the weed. Another thing covered in Denis Murphy s, NBC news article was hat Amanda claimed to have returned on the morning of November 2nd and saw traces of a break in, blood on the carpet, but was not alarmed. Amanda then showered and returned to Ralealles houses. They both returned to the apartment around 12:30pm when the police showed up and broke down Meredith s door to find the gruesome murder scene. Murphy, an NBC news journalist, did a great job of collecting quotes from both sides of Amanda s personality. When asked about Amandas personality traits, Alexandra, a friend of Amanda s, stated Generous, kind, genuine, optimistic bubbly. • 4. The Politics Of The Global Essay INTRODUCTION The Politics of the Global gives us a narration of how development of international political economy happens and an understanding of globalization. Globalization is frequently analyzed independently and the author shows how globalization plays out in two multi cultural democracies; India and USA. It portrays different political possibilities like colonial coercion, post colonial ambivalence and post colonial co option that are opened by global relays of meanings, identities and power from historically different locations. Globalization also explores a variety of spaces and strategies for resisting the colonization of the global. The author identifies bureaucratic delays and red tape that happens in government of India as the same of a business man who uses technology to improve productivity and is professional in his approach. It focuses on reconstructing the state s economy and its government using the SMART simple, moral, accountable, responsive and transparent governance argument. He characterizes globalization into three narratives; the rationalist, historical materialist and the constructivist approaches. Each narrative consists of many theories some of them disagreeing with each other but at the end of the day, each narrative is united through shared models of understanding and explanation that seeks to go beyond the international to access the global (Muppidi, 2004, p.3). • 5. Film Techniques In Pride And Prejudice Originally published in 1813, Pride and Prejudice can be recognized as Jane Austen s most popular novel in the romance genre. Through the years, the book has been adapted into many films and television series. The 2005 film adaptation directed by Joe Wright brought to life this Georgian Era romance in its own abridged style. Makes you believe in true love, happily ever after and all the other stuff a romantic comedy promises but so seldom delivers. Satisfyingly rich. The sumptuous new screen adaptation has so much to recommend it. (THE NEW YORK TIMES). • 6. The Importance Of Youth Literacy Rates In Pakistan в—ЏYouth Literacy Rates in Pakistan Literacy rates are important beyond the obvious reasons of having an educated society, as for some developing countries, the youth may represent the largest segment of the population, which predicts the future capacity of a nation. For literacy rates to improve, government expenditure on education is a key indicator for the youth to have accessible education at little to no costs, gain employment opportunities and be part of the political process of their country (Unicef, 2016). Given the importance of literacy among children and adults, there is no doubt why it s recognized as a right for all and contributes not only to modernizing societies but improving economic growth. The most common understanding of literacy is understood in terms of having a set of discrete skills such as reading, writing, and skill based training (Midgley, Davies, Oliver, Danaher, 2014, p. 127). Italian eateries owe their causes to a great extent to poor foreigners from southern Italy, business visionaries who began little markets, bars, and eateries in Italian neighborhoods in the Northeast. The eateries started serving their ethnic neighbors heartily seasoned, recognizable sustenances in substantial segments at low costs. The nourishments depended on home cooking, including pasta, a glue or batter thing made of wheat flour and water (in addition to eggs in northern Italy). The very sound of that word sums it up as slippery as thought, as perplexing as the truth, as long and convoluted as a life (Cooper 347). That was how Bernard Cooper ended his insightful and thought provoking essay Labyrinthine. Those words haunt me to this very day. Cooper had perfectly described life through the pronunciation of one lone word, labyrinthine (630). It was through a trivial infatuation, one that started when he was seven, that Cooper was able to make such a powerful observation. He loved to solve mazes, and he loved to create them even more. Personal Reflection Of Personal Writing Hi Professor Savage, You mention in your email quite a few references to my writing having some serious issues, yet in the grading not one example was pointed out . I ask that if you believe the same applies to any part of the draft submission that you highlight at least the one that will explain any significant point deduction. More, importantly, I would like to know exactly where I can use improvements, plus I prefer clarity as to where and/or why points were taken off in this class. Sometimes stylistic choice is mistaken for poor writing or incoherent or illogical as you suggested. I have not come across any professor that has said so much about my writing (negatively) and not offer any example. A link in this case is not exactly the solution for all that was implied. Anyhow, my main goal is to focus on where I can fix it myself, so please. show where, next time thanks. You said, The essayis not intended to be a personal reflection or a guide for writers but rather an advocacy for an idea. The journal and notes came across reflective, well, because they re preliminary tools, the scaffold to the final, right. I understand the draft and final are 3rd POV, backed by annotation, and my opinion as well, but not delivered as a personal narrative. The backstory was merely to show I am speaking from some experience. We cannot advocate what we don t understand, sure credible annotations are needed, but self publishing is a hands on approach, therefore, subjective, too. I m concerned about a few things, and then again, not so much knowing all these assignments leading to the actual final submission are meant to serve us as a form of outline the chaos, ironed out. As you must be aware brainstorming can happen at any stage. However, I do have a few comments on some changes you suggested (thanks) and those I have in mind. You said, concisely, , and I assure you my aim for the final, I don t worry too much at these stages, as I will rigorously edit, revise and chisel away from the draft, and then polish for the final. In each of the commercials I analyzed, the issue of tooth decay was mentioned repeatedly. I examined the 1956 Pepsodent commercial, the 1950s Colgate Dental Cream commercial, and the 1956 Crest commercial. The competing companies all had a similar substantive characteristic in that they used science and scientific terms to sway their consumers. In the particular situation of tooth decay, all of the rhetors chose science and special terminology that would cause a response in their audience. It is hard to argue against science after all. Beginning with the 1956 Pepsodent commercial we see that the scientific formula is used but not explained. According to the cartoon images in the commercial, I.M.P. cleans the teeth and removes the yellow stains, while Irium fights tooth decay. The science behind these products in the toothpaste formula is not mentioned. However, the audience can see the cause and effect in relation to those two ingredients. By using Pepsodent and its ... • 15. Let America Be America Again Poem Analysis Analysis of Let America Be America Again Langston Hughes wrote the poem Let America Be America Again , where he touches on the failure of America to live up to the American dream that it was meant to be. There is a message full of disappointment and desperation to change the oppression in America. These are feelings that Hughes knows all too well. He knows the stab in the back feeling of working hard for a country that does not work hard for the worker and in this poem, he uses figurative language techniques to express them. The main idea of this poem is that America promised its people that they would be free, however many American residents were still enslaved. The author expressed how he has physically lived in America, but he has not lived in an America that holds up to the values and dreams it was founded on. He expresses this in lines 1 4 when he says, Let it be the dreamit used to be. Let it be the pioneer on the plain, seeking a home where he himself is free. (America never was America to me) . America was supposed to be a dream come true where all men were free and able to have equal opportunity. Hughes uses alliteration and repetition to emphasize this point. However, the black, the poor, and the oppressed never experienced this promised America. Langston Hughes recognizes in the poem that it is not right for the people who live and work in and love America to be enslaved by social injustice. Routing the water to benefit Boston is yet another option besides holding it back. Flood proofing infrastructures from potential risks is another of Boston s reactions towards rising sea levels, as well as floating and elevating buildings ( Sea Change: Boston Exhibition ). The article Sea Change: Boston Exhibition simplifies the steps of action as fortify, adapt, and retreat. These three simple words are key concepts within this momentous environmental conversation. Flood proofing buildings is a mode of fortifying because Bostonians will strengthen their walls in doing so. This method must be durable enough to hold back repeated surges of water during storms. Floating buildings in the flood is a way of incorporating the water into the city s overall landscape. It is a way of adaptation when fortifying infrastructure does not suffice. Still, the building will need a type of flood proofing substance to keep water out. These structures will appear drastically different than the current city built on land. As for elevation, this is a method of retreating from rising seas. It is a way of escaping the waters when all else disappoints and having this third option available brings confidence. However, even in these situations it is important to consider how mainstream sources choose to frame and issue. The journalism industry depends upon conventions and those conventions can help to shape and influence coverage (Richardson, 2007). Furthermore the language choices that journalists made influence how the public perceives coverage (Richardson, 2007). In the example of the coverage of Kim Davis the argument has multiple stakeholders, yet journalism s traditions leave the expectation that the debate will be geared toward conflict (McCaffrey Keys, 2000; Levasseur, Sawyer,... Collective Identity within the Gay Community and Women s Liberation Movement The gay community and women s liberation movement were both formed through collective identities and political/oppositional consciousness. Moreover, both groups were discriminated against by external social structures and yet, succeeded due to internal factors. Whittier and Taylor describe collective identity as the shared definition of a group that derives from member s common interests, experiences, and solidarity (Whittier 105). The gay community was being oppressed for their sexuality while women were being suppressed based on their gender. Although both communities formed collective identities, they experienced numerous obstacles in unifying their movements, the most notable being race and ethnicity. Since both groups were being discriminated against due to factors out of their control, they formed collective identities and created communities, which propelled their movements forward. The shift from agricultural economy to capitalism changed family dynamics, and was directly linked to the appearance of a collective gay life (D emilio 102). In an agricultural society, families used to work together to produce food, clothing and other goods (D emilio 103). There was, quite simply no social space in colonial systems of production that allowed men and women to be gay (D emilio 104). • 24. The Movement Of The Jewish Culture Furthermore, by using the feminist interpretation within this passage, Jesus didn t want to discard tradition but wants to reform the freedom of woman from the restrictions and limitations of the rules and regulations of the Jewish culture and the tradition by bringing more equality in society. Women s lives in Jesustime were overruled and dominated by a male figure , who were to control every aspect in their lives. This was due to the fact that women were seen to be unholy more inclined to being sinful, and were submissive; hence one of Jesus missions became to reform the image of women. Hence by using the feminist interpretation method, I can conclude that Jesus intentions of preaching to Mary, was for him to reform the Jewish culture, by spreading hope and strength among women standing up for a new culture and a generation which will create a new and equal society. Therefore, by using the feminist interpretation within this passage, we can conclude that in Jesus time, Jesus was a strong advocate to reforming society and allowing women to become equals to men, as God has created us all in the image and likeness of himself, hence why all humans are precious and a gift because God is precious and a gift. If these occurrences takes place on a regular basis, the company may rethink about having employees telecommute. Company rules should be explained in detail and very carefully so there will not be any misunderstandings. * * * Inspiring team members * The employee has been on the job for several weeks. They have completed training successfully and have settled into the job. You remember the skills and previous jobs from reviewing their resume. You are aware this employee has other options. How do you inspire them to stay with your company? Does the company provide any bonuses or incentives? Do they promote from within? Remote employees should be afforded the same recognition as workers that are in an actual office even spotting minor accomplishments may keep your co workers engaged. If a teleworker went over and beyond their job duties to assist a teammate on a project, recognize their efforts with emails to the staff, and ensure they receive a copy of the group email (Munroe, 2014). * Everyone is not cut out to be a remote worker. People who are self starters, savvy with the computer and do not have many distractions are prone to do well with a telecommuting job. When interviewing someone for this position. It should be emphasized that distractions will not be tolerated. Also employees should have a place that is dedicated for their office. * Performance reviews are an ... • 38. The Violation Of Human Rights After reviewing the Human Rights Watch website, www.hrw.org, I decided to write my paper on the violation of the human rights of people with disabilities. I have a passion for working with people that have disabilities and I think so much more should be done for them. The United States have made great strides in being respectful for their human rightsand it is time to see the rest of the world step up and take responsibility. There is also much more needed to be done in the United States but we have come so far. I decided to use the human rights violation of people with disabilities because I want to work with them in the future and it is important to know what hardships they face around the world. I need to help be a voice for them. The first article I read about human rights with people with disabilities was titled We Need to Stop Treating People with Disabilities as Less Than Human, by Shantha Rau Barriga. In this article, Barriga traveled the world to speak with disabled people. She saw a five year old girl dressed in rags and chained to a tree with chains because her family thought she was possessed. Unfortunately, this happens far too often because people with disabilities are seen as unhuman. Often times around the world, children with disabilities are put in institutions and sometimes takes straight from the mothers after birth the relieve them of the burden of a child with disabilities. However, having some form of disabilityis not all that rare: one in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The film is just so unique and well thought out and has this mind twisting turn out towards the end of the movie that makes you think what you might ve missed. I don t think anybody would ve guessed the outcome of the movie to end this way, it s really one of a kind. This movie isn t your typical ghost or horror film. There s so much more to it and if you get the chance to watch it you should definitely do so because I guarantee you will love the movie too. • 40. Ophelia Character Analysis In the play, Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Ophelia, the daughter of Polonius, is seen as a fair maiden who wants her love with Hamlet to be eternal. Due to the many warnings from her father Polonius and her brother Laertes, she succumbs to her father s wishes and plays the role of a good daughter, thus betraying Hamlet. Previously in the play where Hamlet gives his soliloquy on life and death, Ophelia has been ordered to break off her relationship with Hamlet while Polonius eavesdrops to prove that Hamlet has truly gone mad. As a result of Hamlet s supposed madness and Ophelia s docile character during the confrontation, both of their fragile hearts shatter and Ophelia begins her dark descent into madness, leading to her eventual death. Throughout acts one and two of the play, Ophelia in Hamlet s eyes is seen as one of the only fair and trustworthy outliers in the array of deception. After his soliloquy about life and death with its dark and apathetic tone, there is a shift when Ophelia is in his presence. As Hamlet realizes his beloved is approaching, he commands himself, Soft you now! to make sure Ophelia does not hear what he is saying as if not to corrupt this beauty from heaven (Shakespeare III.i.86). His mood perks up and the tone of his words become more endearing when he calls her a Nymph (III.i.87). Shakespeare s diction here further builds upon how the audience sees their relationship. The positive connotation of this word puts Ophelia on a pedestal while ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Weight Loss Plan For A New Year s Resolution I was determined to keep searching for more ways to lose weight! For some unknown reason, I started soul searching, trying to figure out where I was going wrong with New Year s resolutions. I was trying to figure out why it was so hard for me to stick to my New Year s resolutions, until the end of the year. Out of all the things that I couldn t stay committed to during a New Year s resolution, I didn t care about them, like I cared about sticking to a resolution to lose weight. I began to closely analyze all the possible reasons why I failed at whatever traditional weight lossplan, I tried in the past. I also had to analyze why I wasn t able to consistently keep the weight off, without strict dieting. I hated how strict dieting made me feel! I couldn t help but believe that, there had to be a way for me to lose weight and keep it off without punishing myself with strict dieting. I knew that if I was going to lose weight and keep it off, that I had to use healthier weight loss strategies other than the ones that I d used in the past. I also knew that, in order for me to have continued success, that my resolution had to consist of me losing weight, without ever making a New Year s resolution. I decided to start with not eatingany fried foods. I felt like this was the best choice. I learned that fried foods were not only unhealthy for my waistline, but also increases the risk of heart failure and other chronic conditions. I also didn t eat any ... • 42. North Carolina Museum Analysis North Carolina Museum of Art: A Peaceful Journey It must have been 13 years or so since I have been to the art museum, back in elementary school, on a one of a kind field trip. 13 years is way too long to have been away from the art museum, as my experience this year reminded me that. It was a beautiful, sunny October day, although it felt like July, and it was an even better day to talk a walk through the vast, mesmerizing pieces of art that the museum has to offer. The North Carolina Museum of Art provides an abundance of artwork from various time periods, cultures, and one can find art anywhere from Egyptian, to classical, to modern and contemporary art. The artwork that the museum provides not only displays an abundance of artwork, but... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two of the paintings I came across, Ludolf Backhuysen, Ships in a Stormy Sea off a Coast, and Philips Wouwerman, Stag Hunt in a River were very similar in many ways. First of all, they were both European art, they are both 200 plus years old, and they both show very hectic times. The first painting, Ships in a Stormy Sea, displays several ships, (although it is hard to see the other 4), being almost entirely swallowed by an angry, wavy ocean, during an extremely stormy journey. All of the ships are at different levels and some are leaned over, and tipped more than others, allowing the viewer to realize the true horror occurring in this painting. The amount of line that this artist uses in this painting is tremendous as well, as he presents plenty of diagonal lines throughout the painting, such as on all of the ships sails. This piece of art is extremely realistic and gives me chills when I imagine what these sailors must have been dealing with that night. Not only does this painting show a hectic time, but another painting titled, Stag Hunt in a River. This painting displays a village, in the mountains, lying on a river, where hunters, horses, and dogs of the village are attacking a deer that is attempting to escape from them. This painting seems to describe a very hectic time for everyone, as the dogs are desperately trying to do their job, the deer is attempting to escape, and the hunters are relying on the deer for their food. Although there are many obvious differences in these two paintings, the roles are reversed in the two, as in Ships in a Stormy Sea, nature is doing the damage, while the people are trying to avoid danger. On the other hand, Stag Hunt in a River, displays nature being attacked and endangered by the people themselves. My favorite ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In line with standard procedures, Static IP addresses will be retained for servers and networked equipment as this allows for an easier collation and management of such devices at each site. Overly Complex Routing Table Resolution Details With the network performance issues being addressed through a restructuring and the implementation of specific VLANs the routers themselves can be optimized by the removal of the current, singular routing table which has grown so complex with a Virtual Routing Forwarding (VRF) instance which permits several routing tables to exist at any one time, all of which can be updated with network and boundary information and therefore remove the current performance issue on router CPU utilization as well as providing a further element of a scalable network. Conclusion Despite there being several issues to be resolved alongside the planned expansion and growth of the XUMUC network, the benefits of such changes will be seen immediately by all networked users through the removal of bandwidth and performance issues. • 45. My Reflection Of The Humanities And Communications Program The Humanities and Communications Program was a mystery to me when I first heard about it. Many of my friends were in the Math/Science Program, so I heard many stories about projects and activities done there. I only knew a few people in the Humanities Program, so when I got the acceptance letter, I had a mix of emotions. I had worry and fear along with joy, but I was tensed about the people I would meet and the different projects I would have to do. The worry and fear ebbed away after I met my classmates. There were students from incredibly broad backgrounds whom I would be working with. I was surprised when the acuity of my peers and the vast amount of ideas they had. As I went through sixth and seventh grade, I formed strong friendships with my peers. Although the application process and program at first were daunting, I m glad I decided to choose the center program rather than going to my home middle school. I first heard of the middle school magnet program when I was in fourth grade. A few of my friends were attending the the Math Science Program and were pouring their feelings about it. Being a fourth grader with limited knowledge about the Upcounty Center Program, I felt out of place with them, so I decided to listen to their conversation. I learned about what exactly the Upcounty Center Program was and the esteemed reputation it had among our family friend group. In fact, it wasn t only our family friend group that thought that getting accepted into the magnet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It dealt with the issue of differentiating between Business Income and Capital Gains with respect to share dealings. The Assessment year of the present case is 2005 06. Facts: a.The assessee was a trader in shares. The assessee was trading in two segments in stock exchange, viz., cash segment and Future and Options (F O) segment. Admittedly, the assessee had two different portfolios one as investment and another as stock in trade. While profits from trading in cash market upto September 30, 2004, was offered to tax under the head Business , similar gains subsequent to that date was offered to tax under the head Short term capital gains . b.The Assessing Officer viewed that on an average, the holding period of these shares ranged from 2 to 45 days or less. c.The assessee had also taken funding for trading in securities and had shown the profits made through the funding as capital gains. Taking the view that the transactions made in cash segment from 1 10 2004 to 31 3 2005, were all executed in the normal course of business and not as investments, assessment was sought to be made as business income. d.This was countered by the assessee that he had held the shares for earning dividend income and capital appreciation and he had also borrowed capital for the purpose of business. e.The Assessing Officer held that the transactions during the period 1 4 2004 to 30 9 2004, were treated by the assessee as stock in trade ... And Nygaard (1996) said In object oriented programming, an information process is regarded as a system developing through transformation of its state. The substance of the process is organized as the system components, called objects. A measurable property of the substance is a property of an object. Transformation of state is regarded as actions by objects. Mathiasen et el. (2000) gave the following description In many traditional Analysis and design methods, functions, data, and data flows are the key concepts (5). The concepts are suitable for describing phenomena in offices and computerized systems. Objects, states, and behavior on the other hand, are more general concepts and are suitable for describing most phenomena that can be expressed in natural language. Object oriented programming (OOP) and object oriented design (OOD) refer to a particular way of organizing programs, one which is rapidly emerging as the preferred approach for building complex software systems (Morelli, R, 2000 pg. 5). Sommerville (2001) gave the following definitions: Object oriented analysis is concerned with developing an object oriented model of the application domain. The identified objects reflect entities and operations that are associated with the problem to be solved. Object oriented ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
