ACN
Founded in 1993
HQ in Concord NC
Currently Operating in 25 Countries
ACN services such as telephone, high speed Internet, Satellite Television, and others are sold through a network of Independent Business Owners.
ACN has long used PeopleSoft Financials
With traditional services based business, there was no need for a complete Supply Chain Solution
As ACN has expanded more into sales of tangible products, a complete SCM system that integrates with PeopleSoft Financials was required
Solution is the roll-out of PeopleSoft Purchasing, Inventory, and Cost Management to regions selling the Benevita product family
The PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management Special Interest Group is a product-specific users' group comprised of all PeopleSoft Enterprise customers that have licensed PeopleSoft Supply Chain products.
Covering:
Demand Planning: Tools for the forecasting of sales and use of products and items. Allows for the publishing of forecasts for use by PeopleSoft applications to balance inventory investment against customer service levels.
Allows the establishment of a balance between investments in safety stock, customer service levels, and operational efficiency while taking into account factors such as order quantities, cost of processing an order, and inventory carrying costs.
Allows optimization of procurement, distribution, and production resources to ensure that there is sufficient inventory available to fulfill demand.
We have to learn ERP because in future if we get to develop an ERP module or work on it, then we must understand the business needs that it is trying to fulfill.
When we clearly understand the functioning of a department in an enterprise, then we will be able to develop a module to automate it.
We also need to understand the interaction between modules.

What Does Artificial Intelligence Have to Do with IT Operations?Precisely
From the early days of IT, organizations have grappled with the challenges of understanding how well their infrastructure is performing in support of the business. They have used a plethora of tools to detect, manage, and resolve problems that are causing disruption of services, but still struggle to achieve a unified, cross-domain understanding of what is happening across their IT infrastructure. Fortunately, over the past few years analytics platforms like Splunk, Elastic, and others have emerged to address requirements around IT Operations Analytics (ITOA). Now today the buzz is around AIOps – Artificial Intelligence Operations. But what is AIOps, and what can it do to help organizations address IT challenges. In this presentation you will get a better understanding of:
What is Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations
What are the required technologies for success at AIOps
What challenges exist for achieving AIOPs

Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
