Small Intestines Structure: a convoluted tube Function: to absorb most of the nutrients from what we eat and drink
Pancreas Structure: an elongated organ that lies behind and below the stomach. Function: produce pancreatic juice containing enzymes to digest the food in the intestine.
Esophagus Structure: muscular tube Function: to carry food, liquids and saliva from the mouth to the stomach
The Excretory System The Digestive System relates to the Excretory system because the digestive system digests and it isn’t possible to get rid of the food without digesting it.
