DEEP LEARNING FOR SMART GRID INTRUSION DETECTION: A HYBRID CNN-LSTM-BASED MODELgerogepatton
As digital technology becomes more deeply embedded in power systems, protecting the communication
networks of Smart Grids (SG) has emerged as a critical concern. Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
represents a multi-tiered application layer protocol extensively utilized in Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA)-based smart grids to facilitate real-time data gathering and control functionalities.
Robust Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are necessary for early threat detection and mitigation because
of the interconnection of these networks, which makes them vulnerable to a variety of cyberattacks. To
solve this issue, this paper develops a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model specifically designed for intrusion
detection in smart grids. The proposed approach is a combination of the Convolutional Neural Network
(CNN) and the Long-Short-Term Memory algorithms (LSTM). We employed a recent intrusion detection
dataset (DNP3), which focuses on unauthorized commands and Denial of Service (DoS) cyberattacks, to
train and test our model. The results of our experiments show that our CNN-LSTM method is much better
at finding smart grid intrusions than other deep learning algorithms used for classification. In addition,
our proposed approach improves accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving a high detection
accuracy rate of 99.50%.

The crucial role of sensors in gathering data on soil moisture, weather patterns, and plant well-being is emphasized in this system. These sensors enable intelligent decision-making in irrigation scheduling and water distribution, leading to enhanced water efficiency and sustainable water management practices. Actuators enable automated control of irrigation devices, ensuring precise and targeted water delivery to plants. Additionally, the paper addresses the potential threat and vulnerabilities associated with smart irrigation systems. It discusses limitations of the system, such as power constraints and computational capabilities, and calculates the potential security risks. The paper suggests possible risk treatment methods for effective secure system operation. Low power architecture of logic gates using adiabatic techniquesnooriasukmaningtyas
The growing significance of portable systems to limit power consumption in ultra-large-scale-integration chips of very high density, has recently led to rapid and inventive progresses in low-power design. The most effective technique is adiabatic logic circuit design in energy-efficient hardware. This paper presents two adiabatic approaches for the design of low power circuits, modified positive feedback adiabatic logic (modified PFAL) and the other is direct current diode based positive feedback adiabatic logic (DC-DB PFAL). Logic gates are the preliminary components in any digital circuit design. By improving the performance of basic gates, one can improvise the whole system performance. In this paper proposed circuit design of the low power architecture of OR/NOR, AND/NAND, and XOR/XNOR gates are presented using the said approaches and their results are analyzed for powerdissipation, delay, power-delay-product and rise time and compared with the other adiabatic techniques along with the conventional complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) designs reported in the literature. It has been found that the designs with DC-DB PFAL technique outperform with the percentage improvement of 65% for NOR gate and 7% for NAND gate and 34% for XNOR gate over the modified PFAL techniques at 10 MHz respectively.

This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.

Silicone rubber reinforced with one ply of fabric. Usually
manufactured by extrusion but mandrel-wrapped versions
are also available. Can be supplied cut to length or on a
continuous reel when extruded.
Applications:

An extremely tough and flexible nontoxic transparent PVC
hose, allowing easy identification of blockages. UV
compounded to maintain clarity. Excellent resistance to
pressure, vacuum, abrasion and accidental crushing with
accurate pitch and placement of high tensile carbon steel
helix preventing bulging and bursting. Highly flexible over a
wide temperature range. Smooth bore reduces flow loss.
Applications:

Multipurpose hose for of water, sewage, slurries and powders

A heavy duty PVC hose, reinforced with a semi-rigid crush
resistant white PVC helix. Designed to operate under severe
working conditions, this hose is tough, flexible and
extremely durable under normal operating conditions. It has
outstanding resistance to the effects of weather. Minimum

PTFE tube has the best chemical resistance (alongside PFA) of all

withstand.
The electrical insulation properties of PTFE tubing are superb making
it an ideal choice for electrical sleeving. Chemical dosing & metering

Applications:
Ideal in low pressure applications such as air and pneumatic
lines, fluid feeds, chemical transfer, food and beverage
processing, potable water systems, drains, pool and spa
supply lines, and more.
LDPE exhibits a high degree of inertness and forms a good
barrier to gases, vapours, and moisture. It provides good
dielectric properties and will not impart any taste or odour
to fluids running through it. LDPE is manufactured from non-
toxic, 100% virgin grade resins with ingredients that conform
to FDA standards.
Resistant to water and organic salt solutions, diluted bases
and acids as well as concentrated bases have no effect, but
all will discolour and crack under the action of concentrated
nitric and sulphuric acids particularly at high temperatures.
LDP tube does not rely on plasticiser for flexibility so is ideal
for food applications.
Advantages of LDPE Tubing: - cheap, good chemical
resistance, high impact strength at low temperatures,
excellent electrical properties
Disadvantages: - low strength, low stiffness, low maximum
operating temperature, flammable, poor UV resistance, high
gas permeability (particularly CO2), susceptible to

Description:
Ether based Polyurethane duct reinforced with an anti-shock
rigid PVC helix. Completely smooth inside, corrugated
outside. Wall thickness from 0,4 to 0,8 mm.
Properties:
High mechanical properties: light, really flexible, easy to
bend. Really good resistance to microbes, hydrolysis, ozone,
weather conditions, UV , and chemicals. Halogens free
conform to RoHS as well as phthalates free.
Temperature Range:
-20°C to +80°C continuous
Inlays:
Anti-shock rigid PVC helix
Applications:
Suction of liquids and dry food such as grains, animal feed,
sugar, flour etc. Suitable for fatty foods, but not for milk or
dairy products.
Ohm Hose:

earthing the copper wire the duct is electrically bonded. The
electrical resistance R ≤ 102 Ohm/m is according to ISO 8031

Plastiflex
Vacuum Cleaner Hose
Applications:
EHT Plastiflex has excellent crush and kink resistance and is
extremely durable. If crushed the hose springs back to its
former shape. This is due to the interlocking plastic profiled
strip. This gives superb flexibility and capability to bend very
tightly with no constriction of the inner dimensions.
The hose is entirely of plastic which makes it very light
weight. The inner surface is recessed and has a smooth
finish, reducing flow resistance and easing the feeding of
cables. Plastiflex has many uses, it’s main one being for the
industrial vacuum cleaner as it is very light and very robust.
However Plastiflex is also often used for carwash and other
industrial applications.

Applications:
PURPLE SNAKE ® is the ideal hose for breweries,
winepresses, bottlers and many other installations in the
brewing, beverage and spirits industry. The white lining is
neutral to taste and odour, homogeneous, smooth and free
of plasticizers. Flexibility, pressure resistance and long
service life – even under extreme working conditions – are
additional advantages, which make the hose most popular
all over the world.
Together with our swaged coupling systems and rubber
protection rings, it becomes the ideal hose assembly!
