This document provides information about the Erasmus+ Capacity Building for Higher Education programme. It outlines that the programme supports transnational cooperation projects primarily between higher education institutions in Programme and Partner Countries. The objectives are to foster regional integration and cooperation, improve competencies and skills in higher education institutions, and increase capacities of national authorities to modernize higher education systems. Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, organizations of higher education institutions, and national/international higher education organizations. Projects can be joint projects between institutions or structural projects involving national authorities. The selection process involves an eligibility check, external assessment, consultation, and funding decisions made by the EACEA.

This presentation reports on an investigation into capacity building processes in relation to e-learning resource development and delivery (RDD) in a Sri Lankan higher education institution. The capacity building was investigated in three main areas: strategic planning, institutional capacity building, and the resources acquisition processes. The project investigated the embedding of e-learning into the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE).
This e-Book provides detailed information on the Higher education opportunities in the European Union for South Asian students as well as profile many prominent Universities in the EU.
At the 6th NICE Conference in Bratislava, Slovakia, Gilles Gervais, Programme Manager for Erasmus Plus at the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission, was planning on making a presentation on Knowledge Alliances, a new funding scheme of the European Commission. The presentation, which was due for May 29, 2015, unfortunately had to be cancelled due to a blackout of the Belgian airport system, but the slides were shared with the conference participants. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Associations or organisations of higher education institutions dedicated to the promotion, improvement and reform of higher education as well as to co-operation within Europe and between Europe and other parts of the world are eligible. If such associations, organisations or networks also cover other education sectors and training, the main focus of their activities must be on higher education. An association, organisation or network of higher education institutions will count as one legal entity/partner institution and will act on behalf of its members, meaning that it will be treated as one entity from the country where the headquarter is based. Only those members which are established in the Programme or eligible Partner Countries can benefit from the grant.
For Structural Projects only, in addition to above-mentioned organisations,
- a legally recognized national or international rector, teacher or student organization.
contribute indirectly to the implementation of specific tasks/activities and/or support the dissemination and sustainability of the project
For contractual management issues, “associated partners” are not considered as part of the consortium and therefore cannot benefit from any financial support from the project
No mandate is required, since they do not receive a budget share from the project grant.
Such contribution may for example take the form of knowledge and skills transfer, the provision of complementary courses or backing possibilities for secondment or placement
