EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE
ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CC 2015
• We have decided to use this piece of software to edit the footage that
we have taken.
• This is a piece of software that we haven’t used before however we felt
that we should challenge ourselves as our other software and equipment
has stayed the same from our previous project.
• The software also has a wider variety of features in comparison to
IMovie including colour adjustment, tinting and the ability to further
stabilize any shots.
• To aid our progression we have watched tutorials on how to work this
piece of software and we feel confident that we can produce a trailer to
a high quality standard.
APPLE IMAC 21.5INCH
• We’re using the equipment that is available for us at school.
• It is the same computer as we used last year for our year 12 project as it
worked well and was a reliable piece of equipment.
• The computer has pre-downloaded software that is available for us to
use whenever we need, enabling us to produce high quality content with
little costs involved.
• The large screen can also allow for us to look at the trailer in micro detail
and adjust any errors that we may have made.
LIVETYPE
• This piece of software allows to create our own unique titles that are
specific to the genre and the trailer that we have created.
• The titles could be placed over the top of footage at different speeds to
suit different needs i.e. titles coming onto screen when a character
comes into the room to connote synchronicity.
• We used this piece of software in our previous piece of work and we
found it successful in creating a unique set of titles that were suitable
towards the genre.
PANASONIC HDC-SD 700 CAMERA
• The camera that we have chosen to use contains a variety of features
that will aid us on filming days for example; filters to change the lighting,
zoom to obtain the shots that we needed.
• It is a high quality camera that produces clear footage that can be easily
altered to suit our needs.
• It will help us to obtain the professional look of the trailer that we re
hoping to see.
• We have previously use this camera and we are capable with using it to
produce the more unique shots possible.
IMOVIE
• This software will be used to initially piece our footage together whilst
we are getting used to Adobe Premiere Pro.
• The programme is successful for looking at each individual clip and
helping us to decide which ones are of a high enough quality to move
over to the other programme where our main editing will take place.
• We have decided against IMovie this year because it doesn't have the
feature capability to progress what we want to do i.e. tint footage to
make it look like its been filmed in a dark room.
• We need to used programmes that can help us achieve the higher
grades.
8GB SANDISK MEMORY CARD
• To store our footage we will be using a memory card.
• We wanted to film as many different shots as possible to have a wide
variety, this is why we chose to have an 8GB storage rather than 4GB
storage.
• The memory card will also act as a back up for us incase we have any
trouble with accessing the raw footage from the camera itself.
VELBON CX800 TRIPOD
• The tripod that we are planning to use will be practical to produce high
quality footage.
• This is because the tripod will allow for shots to be stabilized making a
smooth transition rather than a shaky look which will help to create a
processional look.
• The design of the tripod will allow us to be able to move it higher or
lower to produce shots at a different angle.
