This document summarizes research on the epidemiology and management of yellow rust, a wheat disease, in Jammu, India. Yellow rust is observed in several northern Indian states and thrives in Jammu's climate of 300-1000m elevation with 1200-1500mm rainfall. Studies found temperatures of 19-21°C and 46-87% relative humidity favorable for disease development. Foliar applications of fungicides Quadris, Folicur, Tilt and Bayleton reduced disease severity and increased yields, with Quadris being most effective. Quadris provided over 70% disease reduction and 30-42% yield increases in varieties tested. In conclusion, yellow rust prevalence was found across Jammu wheat areas and temperature/humidity
