Essar Oil is a fully integrated oil & gas company of international scale
having strong presence across the hydrocarbon value chain, from
exploration & production to refining and oil retail.
Increasing volatility in crude oil prices meant that optimal refinery
operations were critical to profitability. Refinery Operation
Managers needed to be mindful of operating revenue concerns. For
this, they needed to develop a wide-angle business perspective and
realize the larger impact of their daily decisions towards cost cutting,
resource planning and process improvement.

  • 2. Essar Oil is a fully integrated oil & gas company of international scale having strong presence across the hydrocarbon value chain, from exploration & production to refining and oil retail. Increasing volatility in crude oil prices meant that optimal refinery operations were critical to profitability. Refinery Operation Managers needed to be mindful of operating revenue concerns. For this, they needed to develop a wide-angle business perspective and realize the larger impact of their daily decisions towards cost cutting, resource planning and process improvement. enParadigm TM enParadigm conducted an Operations Simulation Program , which allowed participants to take on specific roles and run virtual refineries. They experienced real-time challenges related to cross- functional decision making, driving operational efficiency and long term planning.

I brought it down by 2.5% and they also bought a new fuel efficient heater.” “After the workshop, I focused on cost reduction. We equally divided strong and weak resources so that all teams can perform good.” “We now quantify all action items planned after the workshop. We are focusing on reducing operational cost. We are also optimizing use of manpower.”
