This document discusses three types of listening: informative listening which involves listening to understand information, critical listening which involves listening to evaluate messages and make judgments, and appreciative listening which involves listening to music or other stimuli for enjoyment. Hearing is the physical ability to perceive sound while listening involves understanding messages and responding appropriately.
