SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, INTRODUCTION & CAPABILITY STATEMENT
and our European partners
www.enco.net.au 2

companies, Peter W. Lampke (PWL), LPL Projects + Logistics, German Cargo Services (GCS) and Montan
Shipping provide the most efficient and professional Supply Chain Management.
As you review this presentation you will see that together we have many years experience on
establishing and servicing supply chains in both the private and public sectors and can add value to the
supply chain when required by utilising the resources from our other business units, such as engineering
and management, technology and automation, heavylift crane and transport combined with
procurement, expedite, inspections to provide clients with the confidence that what is required and
when this will happen, will be on time and within budget.
Through this association with LPL, PWL, GCS and Montan Shipping, Enco Projects + Logistics Pty Ltd are
able to provide an integrated “one stop shop” with local and international OEM’s and provide clients
with additional skills and experience if required, such as heavylift and transport, module engineering
and placement.

directors and managers having multi modal global experience in supply chain management and the
associated procurement, expediting and logistics activities required to ensure a problem free and
seamless venture.

Enco Projects + Logistics Pty Ltd (EP+L) is an Australian based business unit of the Enco Group of
Companies, based in Brisbane, Queensland, with a European based Senior Commercial Agent situated
in Munich and partners in Germany, Spain, Italy and agencies throughout North and South America,
Europe, Central Asia, Asia and the Pacific.
Through the partnership with the German Peter W. Lampke Group, the LPL Projects + Logistics GmbH,
both based in Hamburg, Germany, we are in a position to offer our clients seamless international
logistic supply chain from OEM or supplier through to final destination.
The PWL Group deals with barges and shipping in general through its chartering subsidiary Montan
Shipping GmbH (established 1922) and the GCS German Cargo Services GmbH & Co. KG, a further
subsidiary, engaged in shipping requirements, with the PWL Group operating in most countries
throughout the world including global chartering arrangements.
The association with PWL takes a holistic approach to both large and small projects through impute
into initial cargo loading concepts and engineering. This is a perfect fit for the Enco Group of
Companies with the local experience to finalise complex logistics and movement arrangements to
ensure a safe and cost effective project delivery model.
www.enco.net.au 5
EP+L is an Australian based procurement and supply chain management specialist company that delivers a
new approach for improved performance outcomes, reduced costs and shorter delivery times. The
company services the project delivery and operational phases of capital projects, including the study and
development stages as well as any shutdown, optimization and sustaining capital works programs.
EP+L has been winning significant new work with its collaborative and professional approach to sourcing,
purchasing, expediting, quality and logistics. Streamlined fully integrated processes, reduced interface
management and the building of a cohesive team of skilled and focused professionals have been delivering
improved and positive results for our clients. The current approach to procurement and supply chain
management, generally fails to deliver on the potential benefits that may be realized when the process is
appropriately structured and resourced.
Reduced costs, increased efficiencies and standards of quality may be achieved by enhanced and more
effective processes and procedures i.e. using leveraging techniques and cost rationalization, improved
global sourcing including the use of low cost centres, standardization to reduce engineering costs,
improved and consistent quality management, faster delivery times, reduced spares holdings and ensuring
the continuous improvement of supplier working relationships.
EP+L’s success to date demonstrates that procurement and supply chain management requires a very
different approach and mindset to that applied by engineering and construction project delivery service
companies. These points of differences are summarized as follows:
Acknowledgement that procurement and supply chain management constitutes a specialist service and
must be delivered as a structured business process – not an “ad hoc” “add-on” to engineering and
manufacturing activities as required
www.enco.net.au 6
Redefining the current disjointed and inefficient processes to streamline and integrate the functions to
source, procure, expedite, transport and deliver into one efficient integrated business process – not five
fragmented processes and interfaces comprising a mix of internal project departments and third party
service companies.
The consideration of and focus on cost and schedule objectives with effective and consistent management
of outcomes, risks and opportunities across all development phases of a project lifecycle – not only the
design and constructability strategies.
Defining and standardizing the process to create a total value solution to meet the client’s overall and
ongoing business objectives rather than “reinventing the wheel” each time new people are hired for an
assignment or new project. This includes transparent reporting and full auditability for the client.
A business model that enables the consistent availability of competent and developed resources focused
on continuous improvement rather than a disparate group of people of varying motivations brought
together at project start-up to manage the expenditure and administration of high value capital
investments .
Recognition that a structured operational model realizes significant cost and time efficiencies though
consistency in doing business, leveraging capital procurement needs and the forging of business
relationships over time built on mutual respect and expectations. The current disjointed methods provide
little incentive and motivation to suppliers to deliver prompt and cost effective solutions – EP+L’s approach
yields a significant reduction in capital goods and materials costs through leveraging purchases across
multiple clients and projects.
www.enco.net.au 7
Structuring procurement and supply chain management as a single business unit advances
communications and information flow and enables cost transparency and rationalization. Whereas
current methods introduce several interfaces and facilitate multiple mark-ups on mark-ups with no
visibility to costs.
Retention of information, knowledge and know-how and the ability to take up past lessons learnt into a
structured business unit promotes continuous improvement and results in increased efficiencies and
reduced costs over time as would be expected from any business unit – motivation for such objectives in
the current environment are focused on engineering and construction
Shifting focus on the importance of procurement and supply chain management in the delivery of
operational requirements and capital works programs, rather than continuously focusing to reinvent the
familiar and know engineering and construction disciplines will yield outstanding results through
significant efficiencies and reductions in the cost of doing business.
The core business and focus of EP+L is the provision of integrated procurement and supply chain services
tailored for the resources and industrial sector needs.
EP+L is invested in the success of its clients and works together with them to deliver strong procurement
and supply chain outcomes to achieve the client’s overall business objectives.
The EP+L model provides to Owners the vehicle to address recurring procurement and supply chain
project delivery shortcomings and failures by engineering and construction delivery companies that
continuously result in significant cost and schedule overruns.

  • 5. www.enco.net.au 5 EP+L is an Australian based procurement and supply chain management specialist company that delivers a new approach for improved performance outcomes, reduced costs and shorter delivery times. The company services the project delivery and operational phases of capital projects, including the study and development stages as well as any shutdown, optimization and sustaining capital works programs. EP+L has been winning significant new work with its collaborative and professional approach to sourcing, purchasing, expediting, quality and logistics. Streamlined fully integrated processes, reduced interface management and the building of a cohesive team of skilled and focused professionals have been delivering improved and positive results for our clients. The current approach to procurement and supply chain management, generally fails to deliver on the potential benefits that may be realized when the process is appropriately structured and resourced. Reduced costs, increased efficiencies and standards of quality may be achieved by enhanced and more effective processes and procedures i.e. using leveraging techniques and cost rationalization, improved global sourcing including the use of low cost centres, standardization to reduce engineering costs, improved and consistent quality management, faster delivery times, reduced spares holdings and ensuring the continuous improvement of supplier working relationships. EP+L’s success to date demonstrates that procurement and supply chain management requires a very different approach and mindset to that applied by engineering and construction project delivery service companies. These points of differences are summarized as follows: Acknowledgement that procurement and supply chain management constitutes a specialist service and must be delivered as a structured business process – not an “ad hoc” “add-on” to engineering and manufacturing activities as required
  • 6. www.enco.net.au 6 Redefining the current disjointed and inefficient processes to streamline and integrate the functions to source, procure, expedite, transport and deliver into one efficient integrated business process – not five fragmented processes and interfaces comprising a mix of internal project departments and third party service companies. The consideration of and focus on cost and schedule objectives with effective and consistent management of outcomes, risks and opportunities across all development phases of a project lifecycle – not only the design and constructability strategies. Defining and standardizing the process to create a total value solution to meet the client’s overall and ongoing business objectives rather than “reinventing the wheel” each time new people are hired for an assignment or new project. This includes transparent reporting and full auditability for the client. A business model that enables the consistent availability of competent and developed resources focused on continuous improvement rather than a disparate group of people of varying motivations brought together at project start-up to manage the expenditure and administration of high value capital investments . Recognition that a structured operational model realizes significant cost and time efficiencies though consistency in doing business, leveraging capital procurement needs and the forging of business relationships over time built on mutual respect and expectations. The current disjointed methods provide little incentive and motivation to suppliers to deliver prompt and cost effective solutions – EP+L’s approach yields a significant reduction in capital goods and materials costs through leveraging purchases across multiple clients and projects.
  • 7. www.enco.net.au 7 Structuring procurement and supply chain management as a single business unit advances communications and information flow and enables cost transparency and rationalization. Whereas current methods introduce several interfaces and facilitate multiple mark-ups on mark-ups with no visibility to costs. Retention of information, knowledge and know-how and the ability to take up past lessons learnt into a structured business unit promotes continuous improvement and results in increased efficiencies and reduced costs over time as would be expected from any business unit – motivation for such objectives in the current environment are focused on engineering and construction Shifting focus on the importance of procurement and supply chain management in the delivery of operational requirements and capital works programs, rather than continuously focusing to reinvent the familiar and know engineering and construction disciplines will yield outstanding results through significant efficiencies and reductions in the cost of doing business. The core business and focus of EP+L is the provision of integrated procurement and supply chain services tailored for the resources and industrial sector needs. EP+L is invested in the success of its clients and works together with them to deliver strong procurement and supply chain outcomes to achieve the client’s overall business objectives. The EP+L model provides to Owners the vehicle to address recurring procurement and supply chain project delivery shortcomings and failures by engineering and construction delivery companies that continuously result in significant cost and schedule overruns.
