Alstom Bharat Forge Power Ltd. is a joint venture between Alstom and Bharat Forge Ltd, created to participate in the
Indian market of turbines islands (steam turbines and generators, heat exchangers and all associated equipment).
Alstom has a majority stake in this joint venture. The JV manufacture 300-800MW subcritical and supercritical
equipment with an annual capacity of 5000 MW
Project Quality Manager:
Represent the company for quality related items in the RFQ at Sales and tendering phase. Ensure that
negotiation results related to quality are documented and the corresponding impact on the tender is
considered.
At project execution phase lead the other quality functions in the project and interface with the Customer
for project quality issues.
Hold project quality kick off meeting with the Customer, supplier, project and site teams to ensure that the
project quality plan, quality control plan, and all quality requirements are communicated and implemented in
the project
Manage timely delivery of quality related documentations (viz. Quality control Plan, Quality Procedures,
Quality reports) as defined in the contract
Initiate Customer Satisfaction Surveys at different phases of project and define action plans
Participate in project reviews to ensure that quality aspects are covered

India through localization strategy for critical packages (Condenser, HP & LP Heaters, Boiler Feed
Pumps, HP & LP Bypass Valves, High Pressure Pipings, Boiler Feed Pump Turbine, Hydraulic Oil
Unit)
Got 15 local suppliers approved for supply of different packages for Tanda II (2X660 MW) from
NTPC.
Supported actively in Implementation of DFMEA and PEQ gate reviews processes for TANDA II
Reorganized and developed fool Proof system for on time Inspection call to client.

Project Quality Engineer:
Analyse quality contractual requirements and itemize the analysis results in a detailed list ( e.g. clause by
clause ).Assure that the customer requirements are met in the proposal. Assure that engineering has
reviewed the Quality contractual requirements during design preparation.

Prepare discussion topics with data for Customer on Quality topics (NCR, supplier qualification, process
qualification…) in accordance with project office. Lead quality meetings with the customer for all quality
related issues.
Participate in project gates reviews as Client Representative, will be part of the team for passing the Gate
review.
Organize regular quality reviews along with quality representatives of the partners within the consortium
Work for developing "right first time" and "early detection" in projects execution Hours estimation for each
project as per budget
Analyze NCR for similar past and ongoing projects , circulate NCR analysis to consortium partners & define
preventive actions when needed. Review and manage the project NCRs during execution, identify potential
improvement actions. Recommend/require and follow-up improvement actions to prevent nonconformities
and improve processes performance.
Ensure each Critical NCR is solve through 8D's method.
Coordinate third parties quality control definition and implementation in the project, including inspections
witness scheduling, at Alstom’s and suppliers facilities, and send notices to Customer. Coordinate the
customer inspection witness and attend to the one's performed at Partner facilities when a Alstom product is
concerned.
Coordinate Customer Quality Documents establishment, to guarantee on time availability and conformance
of quality records. Review the historic docket of the projects before delivery to customer
Participate on the definition of Project KPIs. Review with project management all Quality indicators and their
corresponding improvement actions
Collect and analyze supplier quality data (KPIs trends, quality control results…) for reporting and
improvement suggestions.

3. Led 8D analysis for Kaplan Blade rejection to make sure prevention of future repetition of the
issue.
Led two 8D analysis for Pelton Runner crack development and excessive abrasion at site and
offered effective solution for preventing this issue.
Developed a system to track release of Quality Plans on time (in line with project schedule) with
release of drawing. The same implemented for all projects.
Significantly contributed in finalization of Control Plan for Hard Coating which was a new process
developed at supplier
Successful execution of three Kaplan Runner projects (Lopet, Holleforsen & Itezhi Tezhi) at
