Empowering Engagement and Connection to Achieve Fundraising Success

  1. 2020 experienced unprecedented growth in mobile usage, advancing two to three years in the just 12 months. According to App Annie Intelligence’s State of Mobile 2021 report, for the first time in history, Americans spent more time on their mobile devices (4+ hours) than watching live television (3.7 hours), up 20% year over year.
  2. While our events might look different, the basics of peer-to-peer fundraising haven’t changed. The WAY we build relationships, empower team captains and recognize top fundraisers might be different, but the WHY is still the same. Create a mobile & web forum for participants to connect with other participants to maximize engagement within our virtual or hybrid event Allow participants to connect with other like-minded participants across the event program or event, team or direct message another participant
  3. Create a content calendar with regular posts & questions to spark conversation Reinforce your coaching email themes by seeking input  Share participant success stories Identify key participants that can help foster communication and engage with others Proactively invite active volunteers, committee members, veteran fundraisers, current social ambassadors, staff Consider starting with 1-2 to get the community started and then add as engagement grows Listen to the community and respond to what they want to talk about – use that information to create a new Forum Integrate into email communication & social posts to encourage participation Promote via Stories & Push Notifications
