The elements of art are the basic visual components that artists use to create works of art. The main elements are line, shape, form, value, texture, space, and color. Line can be used to create contours, gestures, and implied lines. Shape can be geometric or organic. Form refers to three-dimensional objects or depictions of them. Value refers to lightness and darkness. Texture can be actual, implied, or tactile. Space can be positive, negative, shallow, or use linear or atmospheric perspective. Color includes primary, secondary, warm, cool, neutral and monochromatic hues. These elements are the building blocks that artists use to construct visual compositions.
The document discusses the seven elements of art: line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space. It defines each element - line is the path of a moving point, shape is a 2D enclosed area, form is 3D, color is how light reflects off surfaces, value refers to lightness and darkness of color, texture is the surface feel or appearance, and space is the illusion of depth. It recommends exploring each element through the works of different artists such as Hokusai, Klimt, Klee, Delaunay, Van Gogh, Remington, and Wood.
Line, value, shape, form, space, color, and texture are elements of art. Line is a mark with greater length than width that can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, straight, curved, thick, or thin. Value refers to the lightness or darkness of a surface. Shape is a closed line that can be geometric or organic. Forms are three-dimensional shapes that express length, width, and depth. Space is the area between and around objects, and can refer to both physical and optical depth. Color has characteristics of hue, value, and intensity, and is created through mixing primary, secondary, and intermediate colors. Texture is the surface quality that can be seen and felt.
Lines can be defined by their path and thickness. Common line types include straight, curved, and organic lines mimicking nature. Shapes are enclosed spaces defined by lines or differences in elements like value and color. Shapes can be geometric with flat sides or organic resembling things in nature. Forms are three-dimensional objects with height, width and depth that can also be organic or geometric.

Each element is defined and examples are provided. The document also discusses principles of design such as balance, emphasis, contrast, movement, pattern, repetition, unity, harmony, variety, and scale/proportion.
Art can be defined as a visual representation that communicates an idea, feeling, or design. It is created by artists who use their imagination and skills to express themselves visually. Applied art refers to functional objects that are also visually pleasing. An artist's perception and understanding of elements like line, color, shape, form, space, and texture allow them to interpret the world around them and incorporate these fundamentals into their work. Principles of design such as balance, emphasis, contrast, repetition, and unity are used by artists to organize the elements and create a sense of completeness or movement within a work of art.

Elements and Principles of art and the Processes used to create artAramais Orkusyan
This document summarizes the key elements and principles of art. It outlines the core elements of line, color, value, shape, form, space, and texture. It then explains the principles of balance, emphasis, contrast, rhythm and movement, pattern and repetition, unity, variety, and proportion. The document concludes by briefly mentioning different artistic processes and techniques like drawing, printmaking, painting, photography, sculpture, and architecture.
Hands and machines each have their own strengths and beauty, and finding the right balance is key. Lines can be actual, implied, or psychic. Actual lines form edges while implied and psychic lines guide the eye. Line quality, direction, and use of value can influence a work's mood and movement. Line is a fundamental element in both drawings and paintings, and artists employ techniques like contour, gesture, and lost and found contour to create form and texture.
The document discusses the elements and principles of design. It defines elements as the basic building blocks of visual art, including line, shape, form, texture, color, value and space. It explains that principles are the rules that govern how elements are combined, such as balance, emphasis, rhythm and unity. Balance creates a sense of visual equilibrium, and can be symmetrical, asymmetrical or radial. Emphasis draws attention to specific elements through contrast, size, placement or other techniques. Understanding elements and principles allows artists to effectively structure compositions and convey meaning or emotion.

The document discusses the elements of art (line, shape, form, space, texture, color, value) and principles of design (balance, contrast, emphasis, variety, unity/harmony, proportion, rhythm, movement, pattern, repetition). It provides examples of how different artists use principles of design, such as Van Gogh using movement in Starry Night by creating a swirling motion in the sky. Balance is another principle explained through examples showing symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial balance.
The document provides an art lesson on the elements of art including line, shape, form, space, color, value, and texture. It discusses each element in detail using examples from famous artworks and asks students to identify the elements in different pieces. For homework, students are asked to analyze works of art that exemplify each element and write a one-page paper discussing the artistic choices made by the artist.
This document provides definitions and examples for the basic elements of art: line, shape, form, value, color, texture, and space. It defines each element and provides 1-2 examples of works that demonstrate the element. For example, it defines line as "an element of art that is used to define space, contours, and outlines, or suggest mass and volume" and provides Albrecht Dürer's St. Christopher Beside the Sea, No. 22 as an example of how lines are used to define forms. It similarly defines and provides brief examples for each of the other core elements of art.
The document discusses the elements of art (line, shape, space, value, texture, color) and principles of design (emphasis, balance, unity, contrast, movement/rhythm, pattern/repetition). It provides definitions and examples for each element and principle. The key ideas are that the elements are the basic building blocks of art, and the principles are ways to combine the elements to create a powerful composition. Applying an understanding of elements and principles can help photographers construct aesthetically pleasing photographs. However, creativity also allows for experimentation beyond rigid rules.
This document outlines the elements of art and principles of design. The elements are the basic building blocks of art and include line, shape, space, texture, value, and color. Principles are ways to combine elements to create a composition and include emphasis, balance, pattern/repetition, contrast, movement/rhythm, and unity. Examples are provided to illustrate each element and principle.

The simplified electron and muon model, Oscillating Spacetime: The Foundation...RitikBhardwaj56
Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.
How to Add Chatter in the odoo 17 ERP ModuleCeline George
In Odoo, the chatter is like a chat tool that helps you work together on records. You can leave notes and track things, making it easier to talk with your team and partners. Inside chatter, all communication history, activity, and changes will be displayed.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

2. The Elements of Art :
Line
Shape
Form/shape
Space
Value
Texture
Color
Time and Motion (unofficially)
3. Line
Line is mathematically defined as a moving point or a series of points.
As you can see there is a “gestural” type of line as seen in the gesture
drawing on the left ( so named for capturing the gesture of the pose
with a few gestures of the hand on the paper.
The drawing on the right is probably a designer’s drawing for seating
for a plane or train. The line is clean and clear.
4. Implied Line
Implied line means that a number of shapes or forms are in close enough
proximity to each other that our eye and our brain see the suggestion of a
line. On the left the artist Andy Goldsworthy as created a meandering stone
wall that ends in the water. The line of people is obvious- we even use the
word line to describe what we are seeing.
5. Shape
Painter, Elizabeth Murray,
made paintings out of Painter Chuck Close, who has
separate shaped canvases. So limited use of his hands, uses
a number of shapes come shapes of color ( see them in
together to make a whole progress at the bottom) to
painting. develop photorealistic paintings.
6. Form – Three dimensional shape
These are both examples of form. The Ancient Egyptian King and Queen are
a sculpture made of stone. They exist in real space. Glass artist Dale Chihuly
has made a wall of blown glass forms that occupy space with interesting
forms.
7. Texture- the actual feel of the
surface of an artwork
AnishKapoor’s sculpture has a glass-
Jeff Koons dog is covered like mirror smooth texture.-
with live flowering plants .
This probably gives it a soft,
bumpy, texture.
8. Visual Texture appears to be bumpy or smooth or
soft, etc but is in fact smooth when touched.
The photograph of cactus Vincent Van Goghs painting shows a
is in fact smooth when very wavy textured surface but it is
touched but the image has smoother than it appears to be.
a prickly visual texture.
9. Value - light and dark aspects of
color, shadows, bright light, etc
