The first few weeks of EDF 6447 were challenging, with mountains of required reading on topics like flexible learning, Vygotsky, and Gagne. Forming an online group and completing a challenge without meeting face-to-face added difficulty. While the first assignment had ups and downs, learning about Web 2.0, communication, collaboration and content design made the course more enjoyable. Working on the second assignment, the possibilities of alternative teaching through virtual worlds seem fascinating. The journey of the course has opened the student's mind to new ways of engaging and creative with students using technology.

2. The first few weeks . . . Flexible learning, Shimabukaru, Vygotsky and Gagne are just a few of the mountains of reading we had to conquer

3. The road got a little bit curvy when we had to form a group and take part in an online challenge – without meeting, face to face contact or telephone calls!

7. We are Virtually there – not long now to go! Alternative ways to teach through a Virtual World – the possibilities are fascinating

8. What a journey it has been! There is technology I take for granted and some I have never thought of how or why we use them and I love how my mind has opened up to so many new ways of engaging students and being creative.
