2. I was really nervous about taking this course at first . This was my first online course and I didn’t know how I would incorporate what I learned into my daily work at UPS. I was nervous about time management with my schedule, kids, and my business. This was a situation that I knew that I would have to roll my sleeves up and get my hands dirty to see what Rich had in store for us. Stressed Out
3. The first stop on my journey was Edmodo. I really enjoyed the ease of it since it was so similar to . If I were teaching what a wonderful tool to use to keep in communication with my students. Edmodo….I like it!!!!! My Namesake
4. Rubistar Rubistar??? Did you say a Rubik’s cube??...oh a Rubric. Of course I am familiar with Rubrics through the countless annual surveys and evaluations we do at UPS. I obviously get Rubrics from all my children's teachers for projects, assignments, etc. I really enjoyed Rubistar because this was the first time I was actually able to create a Rubric for myself…. I thought this site was oh so easy to navigate through and use.
5. Reinforce to Learn I thought this site was awesome. My job at Ups is as a Safety Supervisor. I will use this site to create countless tests to reinforce our company methods and safety practices. I loved the ability to choose length, type, and time between questions. The use of these created quizzes will only reinforce our training we already have established.
6. Differentiated InstructionWhat‘s so different about it?? I ventured into two different sites in this module…Glogster and Voki. I had such fun creating my character and recording my voice at Voki. I took my Voki to work and actually used him to do the Safety Tip at my weekly Safety Meeting. The employees thought it was great. This will only enhance my outside the box thinking that I try to do at my job. Glogster was just a really cool site that allows me to create an online poster. This site has countless possibilities. I will use this in my professional and personal life alike.
7. So much better PREPARED The course Rich has set up was very enlighten. I feel if and when I return to teaching that I am so much better prepared . I now have a “Richer”understanding of the countless sites and technology that is literally at my fingertips to use. I am constantly teaching an training at UPS…and now I can use all these tools on a daily basis to make my employees safer in the workplace. I will absolutely recommend this course to fellow co-workers and educators alike.
