She found Twitter, LinkedIn, and Delicious to be the most useful for accessing research, making professional connections, and organizing information. Through using these tools, she learned about new autism research and how to market her skills to employers. Some challenges were navigating the sites and understanding technical language. Neri also discussed how her Moodle course provided online learning resources, teaching strategies, and a way to easily contact her teacher at her own pace through videos and instructions. She decided to take another Moodle class to continue utilizing online tools and feeling more confident accessing online information to improve her teaching.

Building Online Learning Communities Using Web 2.0 Technologies
In this presentation, I describe how I use Web 2.0 technologies to facilitate the development of a community of learners among graduate distant students and how students responded to the use of Web 2.0 tools and to what extent these tools assisted in developing a community of learners. Twitter, Skype, Google Documents, Blog, and Wiki were intentionally used in order to build online learning communities among students. An anonymous survey was used. The students indicated that using Google Documents, Twitter, Wiki, and blog gave them a sense of a learning community while using Skype did not give them a sense of a learning community. Google Documents and Wiki had the most impact on students’ sense of a learning community in the course.
E-Learning Presentation
E-learning is defined as a learning system that uses electronic resources and the internet to provide education. It can provide teaching both inside and outside the classroom using computers and online materials. E-learning allows for skills and knowledge to be transferred to large groups of people at once. While initially not widely accepted due to lacking a human element, e-learning is now embraced due to advances in technology that allow it to be more personalized and accessible anywhere at any time through various devices. E-learning can occur synchronously in real-time or asynchronously at the student's own pace through various online materials and communication tools.

true community that inspires peer-to-peer learning? In this session, presenters will demonstrate ways they have
successfully leveraged technology to build this type of community, resulting in a decreased withdrawal rate (from

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 6. WHAT ARE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT MODDLE AND ONLINE LEARNING?

I absolutely love these courses that teach us how to interact with the computer technology and internet are the way of the future and teachers must keep up so that we can challenge the youth that are fundamentally grounded in technology. • I personally think all teachers should be taught how to incorporate these tools as it allows us to be more versatile and opens up a world of possibilities Moodle is a good tool because it allows learners to be in control of their own time and exploration. • I always felt that the best learning often took place as the student engaged with the material and was in control of making errors and learning by manipulating the tools.
