This document summarizes the experiences and insights of Dr. Muhammad Saaiq on the surgical management of deep burns up to 40% of total body surface area in Pakistan. It provides data from a study of 169 burn patients who underwent early surgical excision and grafting. Key findings include that the majority of patients were female (61%) and between the ages of 12-50 years old (78%). Flame burns (52%) and scald burns (24%) were the most common causes. Without timely surgery for deep burns over 15-20% TBSA, mortality is inevitable.
