All courses that are now being developed by Dept. are either designed in
Articulate or in CP. Therefore, as a part of learning and innovation, we are
planning to design courses using Flipbook. This will allow the learners to
experience a new way of learning and will help in engaging their interest more.
Solution Scope (What):
Course designed and developed using Flipbook is very appealing
and has a smart look. These courses offer practicality and
functionality, the ease of use, and the effect of flipping pages to
the learners, as if they are studying a book in reality. Flipbook
offers more interactivity and is an innovative way to present
courses to learners.
Features (How):
Flipbook software provides the following features:
Mobile Device Support: Provides integrated support of the new
HTML5 standard. This means that Flipbook powered courses can
be easily readable on almost any device, ranging from iPhones and
Androids, to iPads, Tablets, and E-readers.
Zooming: Courses published using Flipbook offers high-quality
magnification features, which allow learners to zoom in on desired
photos and print with exceptional quality. This feature is in-built in
Flipbook and can be applied within seconds. Courses that are
presently published using Articulate and Content Producer doesn’t
have this in-built feature in them. The designer has to offer zoom
functionality separately through Flash that takes a lot of time.
Text Search: Flipbook publishing programs offers exclusive
indexing and search algorithms to make the search process faster,
even within very large publications.
Sharing: Send publications instantly by e-mail, or share them
through Lotus Connections or during presentations or showcasing

2. DOJO

Dojo offers more functionality and interactivity than Content Producer
Tool. As a part of Dept. innovative initiative, Dojo framework can be
introduced that will help in developing excellent self-paced online
courses. It will help Dept. in developing a strong branding.
Solution Scope (What):
Course designed and developed using Dojo looks visually attractive when
judged against Content Producer. Dojo learning is a very new and
innovative way of developing courses.
Features (How):
Dojo saves time and scales with the team’s development process,
using web standards as its platform. It’s the toolkit allows
experienced developers build high quality courses. Other features
of Dojo are as follows:
Extremely small and fast: The core of Dojo has been completely
refactored as a set of lightweight independent modules that can
be used through the new Dojo lightweight (3.8kb) AMD loader. It
only loads the capabilities as needed.
Graphics, Charting and Visualization: Dojo enables the
development of graphic rich courses that are also highly
interactive.

Courses developed using Dojo takes much lesser time than that prepared using Content Producer Tool. This will
