This document discusses two teaching methods: the discovery method and the enquiry method. The discovery method involves giving students a problem to solve through hypothesis testing and experimentation with minimal teacher guidance. The enquiry method developed later and focuses on student-generated questioning to seek information. It involves interaction, clarification, and questioning phases. Both methods are student-centered and aim to actively engage students in the learning process, though they may be time consuming and difficult for some students. The teacher acts as a facilitator to guide student learning.
