Spirituality is quite a strong topic associated with many things and, more so, the well-
being of individuals. Many people are believers, but others still do not understand how
spirituality and their well-being are associated; this is the main reason why spirituality and
religion have controversial issues. Disaster, be it manmade or natural disaster, can change
someone's belief spiritually due to the circumstances that may be presented. It may act as a
comfort blanket or a source of additional misery because of the distress it brought them, causing
survivors to doubt their earlier views (Deloso, 2018).
In an artificial disaster, the repercussions can include communal skepticism, individual
hopelessness, and sentiment of strain among healthcare professionals. The disdain for one
another, one's religion, and one's destiny can grow in a community. The spiritual fortitude that
had held a community intact before the calamity could be shattered, resulting in turmoil and
uncertainty.
Spirituality can be swiftly revealed for health care professionals when they are immersed
in a tragedy. The anguish, misery, and loss that healthcare practitioners may have due to
witnessing devastation to unarmed civilians may lead them to pursue spiritual and religious
rehabilitation to recover their belief and guidance. They can also assist in the spiritual care of the
community, individuals, and colleges by learning and understanding their religious point of view
(Zehtab et al., n.d.). This will encourage empathy in tailored care, which may lead to rapid
rehabilitation. Expressing spiritually may not be easy for health nurses because it solemnly
depends on their challenges on their biological, intellectual, and individual level but having
spiritual knowledge is important for their patients well being
