MICROLEARNING + BIG DATA + MACHINE LEARNING: HOW TO FINALLY PROVE THE IMPACT ...Human Capital Media
Proving impact isn’t a new challenge for learning and development leaders. It’s a well-known fact that neither the data nor the technology has been capable of providing the insights required to not only demonstrate training ROI, but also determine exactly what needs to be changed to impact results.
But this is about to change.
Introducing Microlearning + Big Data + Business Data + Machine Learning!
For the first time ever, learning leaders can now use this powerful combo to understand the true impact of their efforts — at scale. The best part? No data scientists required!
Join Axonify and Bloomingdale’s VP of Loss Prevention and Risk Management, Chad McIntosh, for a webinar on May 24th from 2-3 pm EDT to learn:
What “learning attribution” means and how it will fuel the L&D digital transformation.
What big learning data you need to quantify business impact and why microlearning closes this gap.
How you can measure and understand the impact of your training program — at scale — to continuously improve the effectiveness of your training programs and empower frontline managers to take action.
How Bloomingdale’s is using microlearning, big data, business data, and machine learning to understand impact and become agile with its training programs.

How autonomy in the modern workplace has changed the way we work, forever (new)
One of my favourite sayings is "Products don't fix problems, people fix problems with products". Might sound like it makes sense, but very few companies are applying this logic. With exponential advancement in technology, we're experiencing unprecedented breakthroughs in our systems, but at the same time our employees are becoming slower and more frustrated while using this technology.
In this session Tracy would cover elements that could be causing this, and possible solutions to overcome and move forward:
· Paying for the mistakes made in the last 20+ years
· Autonomy in the modern workplace
· The era of the digital citizen
· Upgrading your training and support systems
It's not adoption we're after. Usage implies the use of technology, adoption will be the efficient use of technology, what is needed is to create and nurture digital citizens who are responsible and efficient users of the given technologies. Attending this session will change the way you look at the modern workplace.

Proven Strategies for increasing Adoption and EngagementChristian Buckley
While Office 365 continues to grow at a rapid rate, adoption can be slow and difficult without a strategy in place. This presentation covers a number of different topics that all have an impact on end user adoption and engagement. This presentation shares: a "go to market" strategy for a successful Office 365 deployment; productivity features that will enhance adoption; strategies for keeping end users engaged; how to track usage and activity so you can measure your success; and touches on many of the productivity features (Groups, Delve, Yammer, co-editing, etc). The primary focus, however, is on the management/ongoing educational aspects of a successful deployment.

10 strategies for making the most of your investments in consultants and prof...Engagement Strategies, LLC
Presented with Karen Nemeth and Pam Brillante at the NAEYC Annual Conference, November 6, 2014. Potential consulting or professional development clients expect prepared and informed contractors, but even the best consultant or professional development provider can only go so far if the client hasn't set the stage with a plan and a commitment to improvement. Even the most well-intentioned administrator will be disappointed if the consultant is not informed through a consultative, collaborative, systematic and respectful approach to the organization's scope of work. This essential session will focus on 10 strategies that will help administrators get more value from every consulting dollar they spend, and help consultants understand what clients need and expect to ensure long lasting results for their clients. This session is designed to provide all participants with unifying take home messages about working together to effect change in early childhood education through commitment to their respective responsibilities in professional consulting relationships.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
