Storytelling has always played an important part in our societies throughout history. In the last few years it's gained attention as an important aspect in communicating and building engagement with a brand’s customer base. But storytelling is also an integral part of the design process. It’s a tool that not only can help us define our content and messaging, but the experience as a whole. Both across platforms and screens, and how we interact with it.
Trends are moving towards the emergence of site customization based on user state. We will cover practical development examples on using user interest and identity data mining techniques to be able to determine the emotional ease, frustration levels, and intention of users, and customize the user experience based on that.

#ltux: Using acting techniques to understand & predict human behaviourSabrina Mach
We often talk about stepping into our user’s shoes. We learn about them and watch them do things. But we only do this from the outside, and therefore have a limited understanding of them, and a limited ability to predict their behaviour.
This talk shares a framework that enables you to step into your user’s shoes. You will hear how this framework was applied to designing products and services. This is small data in action, with a powerful outcome.

This talk shares acting techniques that help us step into your user's shoes. We will hear stories about situations that were acted out by people applying those techniques, and hear how this helped to better understand and predict human behaviour. Share More Stories empowers brands and people to connect through shared stories. And as founder James Warren and his team developed the company’s vision, strategy and prototype, they began realizing that stories weren’t just core to their product – they were core to their innovation and learning process as well. The stories people shared during development and after launch revealed deep customer needs, helped the team improve its value proposition and led to the identification of new customer opportunities. In his talk, James will share how he and his team used these stories to learn as much as possible, in order to accelerate the development and growth of their platform.

· Identify the genre or type of story that you want to tell
· Develop a monthly story arc in your content calendar
· Create compelling, interesting characters your customers will want to engage
· Invite your customers to be in your story
· Frame your story within the Facebook Timeline layout

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.
