Digital library is otherwise known as e- library which is a library with a collection of digital objects that can include text , visual material , audio material, video material , stored as electronic media formats along with means for organizing storing and retrieving the files and media contained in the library collection. An e-library resource or digital library resource means the publication and dissemination of information by electronic means , especially by the use of optical disk m formats such as CD ROMs and networking . Other option can include the use of electronic data bases , video texts, email , and electronic newsletter.

e) Non-standard technical activities, data description and transmission
characteristics.
f) Non-availability of well-trained skilled personnel.

11. CONCLUSION
Digital libraries are not going to replace the physical
existence of document completely but no doubt to
meet the present demand , to satisfy the non local
user digitization must be introduced so that at least
libraries become hybrid nature. The initial cost of
digitization is high but experiment shows that once
digitization is introduced then the cost to manage
this collection will be cheaper than that of any
traditional library.
