2. Digipak research:Our task was to create a digipak design for our album cover. The album cover and magazine is an example of intertexuality where all things related to the artist links to sell the album. The idea of our task is to promote the artist and sell the album to our target audience. The image is of the female RnB artist bowing down and looking down. Her expression does not particularly show that she is either sad or happy. The fact that the name of the no.1 single is called ‘take a bow’ the female artist shown is actually doing the actions of the single shown on the album over. This creates a sense of attraction towards the audience and would want them to buy it.The background colour of the album cover is more of a feminine colour mixed with purple ad white. This is a plain and simple colour to make the artists face stand out more. The artist face is what the audience would see first before the background catches your eye. ‘Rihanna’ is the name of the album shown. Rihanna is the name of the artist herself. The font looks simple and readable ad in capitals. The artist may have chosen to call the album name Rihanna to draw attention to the target audience to make her name seem well known. Similarly we decided to put the name of our artist ‘Amerrah’ on the album to draw the attention of the target audience. However the font is different. ‘Take A Bow’ is the name of the No.1 single in the album. Most of the female that are a fan of Rihanna already would know that it is. So the audience would be aware that the album includes the single named on the front cover. The colour is feminine ‘pink’ to be more appealing to the targeted audience

3. The background colour of the album cover is pink which is very feminine. I thought the whole idea of the album cover is to show off her femininity. Overall most female RnB album covers look the same in terms of their sexuality and what song they are promoting. The name of the artist is called ‘Keyshia Cole’ just like our album cover. The style of the writing is feminine and appealing to the female audience. The style is more of typeface of something you would use to write a love letter. We got the idea to use a similar font for our album cover. The idea of selling the artist is to target the young female audience. The female artist appears to be wearing a black and white dress. RnB female artist are portrayed on screen as ‘sexy’. The fact that she is wearing revealing clothing it will attract the targeted audience. Like our female artist in our music video she is wearing a short black dress which shows of her femininity and as well as draws attention. We got the idea of the outfit for the album cover from ‘Keyshia Coles’.The name of the album is called ‘A different me’ this may reflect on her lifestyle. She may be changing her whole image and letting the target audience know this. The title is original reflects about herself.
