 I will be looking at albums and artist that are similar
to the song and artist we have chosen to use for
our music video.
 I will also be analysing a few of Rihanna’s albums
that I chose with my group and then we will check
for any similarities.

4. BACK COVER
The back cover goes with the
theme that has been chosen which
is a floral theme. This theme also
is shown on the front cover and on
the CD. This picture of Rihanna
shows her as innocent but
seductive which fits with her
songs.

5. FRONT COVER
The front cover is a close up of the
artist with the name of the album at
the bottom. Again the colour of the
artist’s hair and lips are a bright red
which make her stand out. The
name of the album is visible and
clear to read but comes across as
important as the artist. Also red
connotes seductiveness which will
attract a lot of the male audience.
The close up also follows Goodwin’s
theory as the audience prefer this
and helps attract more audience.

6. CD AND COVER
The cd follows the floral theme with
a light pink rose colour, whereas
the cover is of the artist leaning
over a rose bush which has bright
red roses. The cd and cover gives
an innocent image of the artist
which will attract more people.

7. BEYONCÉ'S ALBUM 4
Beyoncé's album “4” is different to
Rihanna’s album “Loud.” There is a
medium shot of the artist and her
image portrays her as fierce and
seductive. Her name is in big letters
behind her but you cannot read all of
it as her image is in front. This shows
that you do not need to know her
name as the audience would
recognise her with just an image of
her. This also shows that she is a hit
in the music industry and favoured
by a majority of the audience. The
colours used in this cover is mainly
black and white and this makes her
stand out more. She is on her own in
this picture showing she is
independent and standing up for
independent women.

8. BEYONCÉ'S ALBUM 4 BACK COVER
The back cover still shows her as a fierce
artist and still portrays her in a seductive way.
The writing on the back cover is in black
which gives a bold feeling and shows a
mature side to the artist. The track list is also
there so the audience can see which songs
are on the cd. The back cover is attractive
because the background is bright but the
writing and the artist clothing are in black.
The colours contrast well and is eye catching
which will help attract more audience.

9. BEYONCÉ'S ALBUM 4 CD COVER
The cd covers are medium shots and close ups
of the artist. This makes her stand out more and
will attract more of the audience. These images
again show a feminine and attract side to the
artist. Also the first image I have used makes
her stand out because she is wearing a bright
colour, whereas the background is in grey and
the writing is in black. In the second picture I
have used the artist again stands out because it
is a close up of her and she is in colour whilst
the writing is in white. This shows the
importance of the artist. The name of the album
has been used on the cover so the audience
know which album it is.
