2. Before creating our digipak we looked at other digipaks of
bands to gain inspiration of how to design our digipak and
also on what content to include into our digipak.
We discovered that we needed to follow the theme and
housestyle of the website so that it was relatable to the
band image and recognized by the audience/fans.
One of the main websites that we looked at was the style
of the ‘Deaf Havana- Lost Souls’ digipak.
3. Requirements
For a digipak to be a successful media product to a band
it will need to act as a limited edition collectors item to
their fans.
It will need to look well designed and produced so that it
looks more valuable than an original album so that the
audience will want to spend the extra money for it.
4. For our digipak we have chosen to create a 4 panel
cardboard case produced out of thick card, including a 4
panel paper pull out booklet
This is after inspiration from the Deaf Havana digipak as it
looks professional and like special edition but is easy and
cheap to produce.
Similar to the Deaf Havana digipak, our pullout will include
a mix of album artwork and the track lyrics.
