2. Q2; How effective is the combination of
your main product and ancillary texts?
The image I have for my band would be, quite a down to
earth, fun loving and outgoing, friendly look. I think its
important for a band and there music to feel approachable
and fun in a way you can in a personal way, relate to.
They’ll be main featuring act in festivals and tour the
country.
When creating the look for my band I didn’t really want a
‘logo’ as such just the name.
By creating the name in the font ‘Niagra Solid’ I felt it gave
it an edgy look and feel, but also quite naturally and
friendly. It’s a very stigmatic font of which will be
recognisable like a logo but still holds its original
content, fitting well with the brand image I hoped to create.
3. Q2;
I think I have maintained continuity very effectively
throughout my tasks as I have tried to maintain a constant
scheme of colours throughout with the use of very little
different font types. In doing this the audience soon
becomes accustomed to the products ‘house style’
allowing the audience to easily recognise the product
without actually having to place a name on it. In the same
way someone might recognise a font from a television
show or brand logo. Its important to maintain continuity
when creating a product so as not to loose the interest of
your audience.
4. Q2;
Within the media industry its very important to focus
on marketing and distribution and the key it to get
them right. Finding a distribution company wouldn’t
be at all hard but the right one? I imagine my
distribution company to be holding of worldwide
distributing and work with top bands and artists to
build brand name so that we attract more custom
increasing our audience. Brand image is the main
attraction when trying to gain new custom as it’s the
first thing they see. Judging by what they first
encounter will determine how interested they are
and if they wish to delve more into the band and
their music. Making brand image very important
when considering distribution.
