The National Library’s Archive was limited largely to physical objects. Therefore the younger generation of readers used to digital media had little or no access its contents. Research among schoolchildren revealed they consume a lot of digital media for infotainment purposes. By digitalising recommended literature archives, it is possible to change actual reading habits and lead young readers towards a wider educational range of information.

Traditional library is the library to collection the information in print form like books, journals etc. and digital library is the library to collection information with associated services, where the information is stored in digital format like text, video, audio etc. and accessible over a network. According to Bala and Sagar(2014, 369p.) “Library as an institution has played an important role in the progress of civilization. In the modern age the library users need accurate, current and pinpointed information, and there expectation also high”. Due to lack of time no body have time to visit a library and search catalogue cards. Most of the users prefer the digital resources because these can be used anytime and by everyone over the Internet.
Library for All - Also for the print disabled by Rauha Maarno
This document summarizes a project called "Library for All" that aimed to provide equal access to literature and information for persons with print disabilities in Finland. The project was a partnership between Celia Library, which produces talking books, and public libraries in Finland. The Ulwazi Programme: a Model for Community Digital Libraries in South Africa

Born of changes in the political context and the policy environment, the Ulwazi Programme is a South African library
initiative that has been set up by the eThekwini Municipal Library’s Libraries and Heritage Department. Its aim is to
record and share, in both English and Zulu, the local histories and cultures of communities served by the municipal
library in the greater Durban area. The Programme does this by using the existing library infrastructure and freely
available social technologies to create a wiki, much like Wikipedia, but localised for the eThekwini Municipality. The
presentation further argues that the Ulwazi Programme advances the library’s efforts to be an inclusive institution
and contributes to social cohesion at a local level.

Waterproofing Changes in Victoria
The Building Act 1993 remains, but the Building Regulation 2006 will be replaced by the Building Regulations 2017, expected to be legislated around September. Key changes affecting the waterproofing industry include Part 13, which mandates inspection prior to covering a waterproofing membrane in any wet area.
The regulations remain consistent in other areas affecting waterproofing, such as the adoption of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, methods of assessment of compliance, material testing, and compliance certificates.
The VBA confirms that only a registered Building Practitioner can authorize compliance of waterproofing works. Subcontractors who are not registered cannot authorize compliance. Although they can state that they have complied with the relevant standards, liability lies primarily with the registered builder, now shared with the Building Inspector or Surveyor for wet areas.

- 2. Background The National Library of Estonia is the biggest public library and literary culture preservation center in Estonia with over 3.5 million books.
- 3. What was the underlying problem? In order to increase popularity of reading among schoolchildren, and to bring back readers to The National Library, the old digital archive (Digar) needed to be replaced with a new, user-friendly version.

- 7. How it was achieved • On the research level, customer journey mapping was used, in order to identify target audience needs • During wireframe and design process, experts from target audience and The National Library e-archive were heavily involved
- 8. RESULTS • Change of actual reading habits by digitalizing recommended literature • Much broader range of educational literature made accessible
- 9. Digar is designed to meet the habits of its users – that means device independence The suggested literature section leads the user gradually towards the Recommonded reading
- 10. Updated interface facilitates “searchers” as well as the more visual “browsers”
- 11. Achievements • Over 60,000 registered users • Apart form the target audience there was a significant increase in other age groups as well • New content uploaded every 15 minutes
