Library is considered as an important part of the college which is the major learning resource for the students and staff. As per the changing time, role of library is also being changed. Advanced technology has been utilized by the library to provide library services. The main aim of library is to avail the various reading material and learning resources to the students and work for the amusement and imbibe values in the readers by reading various autobiographies of great leaders. Students get inspirations and life-force for their future life by reading.
Library and information science (LIS) is a multi-disciplinary and dynamic field which adapts rapidly to technological and social developments, and keeps pace with emerging ideas and technologies. The willingness of library and information professionals to proactively accept changes and venture into new knowledge territories is helping the LIS discipline to stay relevant and useful in the fast changing society. Other factors that are driving innovation and creativity in LIS, are the popularity of the Web as an alternative source for information acquisition as well as competition from non-library agencies now involved in information provision.
Information and communication Technology (ICT) has been considered as the most instrumental factor for the change in the mode of delivery of library services. General and traditional services of the library have been influenced with the introduction of new innovative practices, because of application of new ICT –based products and services.

Quality assurance practices in Croatian academic libraries: two case-studiesKornelija Petr
Higher education in the Republic of Croatia has been going through transformative changes ever since the introduction of the Bologna process. The Bologna process in Europe was introduced with the intention to ensure the more comparable, compatible and coherent systems of higher education and one of the extremely important elements of this process is the focus on quality. In Croatia, it was recognized that the higher education institutions need to continuously work on the quality improvement of their educational programs. This need motivated the introduction of the external assessment instrument – both of the educational programs (in the form of the initial and consequent reaccreditation procedures) and the quality assurance systems developed at the institutions of higher education. The Bologna process has also recognized academic libraries as important factors of the higher education institutions’ educational and research excellence. Croatian academic libraries have become more proactive in finding ways to align quality practices with the overall mission and goals of the university. This paper investigates the quality initiatives of two Croatian academic libraries – Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek and Zadar University Library, focusing on their methodology and strategic planning.
From its beginning ADP invested effort into development and strengthening of relationship with researchers - data depositors. The effort was concentrated on the promotion of data services and presenting advantages of data depositing. On the other hand we invested into assuring high quality research: by selection and evaluation of research and its data. Since the policies of research funding agencies are changing (due to requirement of international community and H2020) in the way that open access to research data is becoming a requirement and researchers are becoming more and more motivated to deposit their data, the archives are approaching new challenges. The aim of this presentation is to show (1) the development of the relationship ''ADP – data depositors'' from the beginning , (2) to evaluate the current situation (3) and to establish what are the challenges we will have to deal with.
