This document discusses the design of a tuned mass vibration absorber to reduce vibrations in a primary system. It begins by providing an overview of vibration and its causes. It then discusses the effects of vibration, both desirable and undesirable. Several methods for reducing vibration are presented, with the tuned mass vibration absorber being selected due to advantages like ease of design. The objective and working principle of a tuned mass vibration absorber are explained. The design procedure involves calculating the natural frequencies of the primary and absorber systems. Experimental validation was performed using equipment like an FFT analyzer and accelerometer. Applications include reciprocating machines and transmission lines. ANSYS was used to analyze balanced vs unbalanced masses. The conclusion is that a tuned mass vibration absor
