behavioral memory deficits that are common among TBI patients, these daily activities are difficult
for these individuals. In the past low tech items were used such as daily planners and strategically
placed notes, but due to the growth of high tech instruments, such as smartphones, personal
computers, and PDAs, the low tech devices are being used less (Gentry, Wallace, Kvarfordt, Lynch
2008 19 24). In the early stages of high tech device use among TBI patients there were three
popular computerprograms that were used, but they were contained to desktop computers, which
makes them useless outside of the individual s home. Once PDA s were introduced these
programs became obsolete. An early study of PDA use included the use a program called Psion

Sadly, for some patients chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMP) can feel like a life sentence. All to
often in clinical settings we see patients who psychologically combine chronic pain with resistance,
the outcome often being suffering, this suffering, however, is a choice. Whilst there are behavioural
and psychological components involved, recent research has looked into various patient led forms
of self help or management of pain, one such method being mindfulness. Although limited, the
current evidence in this field suggests that there is a place for such interventions for the acceptance
or management of pain in chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Further research may wish to look at
the quality of research into this area including a superior level of randomised controlled trials
(RCTs) to test pain acceptance specific mindfulness interventions in matched subjects.

The first person that Dewey Dell betrays is her brother Darl. Dewey Dell and Darl were very

A Natural New World In Aldous Huxley s, Brave New World, the main goal of the utopian
society is to achieve a state of stability that allows the civilians to live happily ever after. Each
person is conditioned into a certain class where they accept their assigned job. In the World State
there is no such thing as family or any other relationships. The drug soma ensures that the only
emotion the civilians feel is happiness. However, along with social stability comes a loss of
individuality. Community, identity, and emotions, three characteristics that are natural and required
in order for an individual to truly live life have been erased from society. The World State removes
these elements because they are unstable and uncontrollable. Huxley shows that no amount of
stability and happiness is worth the loss of everything that makes us human. That means a utopian
society is impossible. The novel s key ingredient to stability is that individuality must be absent. The
civilians are steered by ten controllers that determine all aspects of society. Through mass
production of people, individualism is lost. Children are born in hatcheries where they are given
certain elements that are important to proper development. The civilians seem to believe they are
happy and content with their simple lives, but they do not know any better. According to the book,
the motto of the World State is, Community, Identity, and Stability.
