In current practices of psychodynamic family therapy, it leans towards integration and diversity in
recognition of the limitations of any single therapeutic model (Evans, 2012). A wide variety of
family therapies have arose which may be described as psycho dynamic and there is not an
opportunity to address all of them. This review will discuss experiential family therapy.
In the early twentieth century, the foundations of the psychodynamic theory was laid by Sigmund
Freud. Freud focused his attention mainly on individuals and not so much on the family, but he did
recognize that family is important in human development (Evans, 2012). Yet, succeeding
theoreticians plus family counselors have utilized the ideologies of psychoanalysis in the expansion
of family therapy (Evans, 2012). Ludwig Binswanger, a psychologist who disagreed with Freud s
theories of human beings, is said to have brought the concepts of existential and phenomenological
thought into the field of psychology (Mahrer, 1983). With the dissatisfaction of the limitations of
Freud s theory, Binswanger started to search outside the existing areas of psychological theories for
other models to explain the thoughts and behavior of individuals (Mahrer, 1983).

As I researched various theories, the Nonverbal Expectancy Violation Theory stood out to me the
most. Neuliep (2015) has described this theory as people holding expectancies about the
appropriateness of the nonverbal behaviors of others. The Nonverbal Expectancy Theory (NEV)
was formulated by Dr. Judee Burgoon. Sidelinger and Bolen (2015) states the basic tenet
undergirding NEV theory holds that individuals have expectations of how things will be and how
people will behave. Sidelinger and Bolen also states that expectancy refers to what an individual
expects or predicts will happen in an interaction. When we make an assumption, we are partaking in
expectancies. Burgoon (as cited by Sidelinger and Biolen, 2015) notes that what we expect in an
interaction is based on three factors, context, relationship, and communicator characteristics.
Sidelinger and Bolen (2015) believes that our expectancy can be determined by our environment.
For an example, the way I communicate at the playground with my children is different than how I
communicate at the grocery store. The expectancy of relationships is based on the connection we
have with the person with whom we are interacting with. Finally, Sidelinger and Bolen (2015),
states that communicator characteristics refer to the demographics (gender, age, race etc.) of the

Marketing Strategy At The North American Market
Strategy
As we close Q3, we move forward with our plan to expand our offices in the North American
market. Our next office expansion will take place in Chicago. The market potential in Chicago, for
the workhorse computer, is relatively high; in comparison to our initial other locations such as Los
Angeles and Toronto. According to market research, these markets have great potential to
effectively meet customer needs. The pricing strategy used for Workhorse, which is our first
priority product in the market, is to provide a technologically advanced computer at an affordable
price. In addition, to a good retail price, we will offer a $100 rebate as an incentive to purchase a
Pentabytes workhorse computer.
Brand Design
Our main objective is to increase market potential by designing brands attractive to Workhorse,
Traveler and Innovator segments. The executive team analyzed the customer needs and use pattern
to determine the design. Based on the research, our firm decided to add a new segment that targets
a different clientele. The strategy to design a desktop computer for our Workhorse customers was
based on their top three preferences of having a computer easy to use, but still does a wide variety
of tasks at a special price deal. We introduced a laptop for our Traveler segment. The idea of the
design is to provide a portable computer that features office applications. We realized how
important is to accommodate their portability concern. Our latest addition is a desktop

Everything in the world is in constant change. And everything needs continual improvement if
the ever increasing demands of humankind are to be met. If I am a materials engineer, I will
innovate new material for toilet paper core. I think everyone has question why it must be toilet
paper core, and how important toilet paper core is. Toilet paper is the thing that most people use.
Most toilet paper has core. When we use whole toilet paper, it will remain the core. Because of
this core can t uses anymore so we throw it in the bin and it becomes to garbage. More used
cores, more garbage. The innovation that I will present is making the core that can use as toilet
paper. So when we use whole toilet paper, it will not remain any core to be garbage.
