Client is a five year old Caucasian boy. He currently lives with his adoptive parents,
biological brother, and adopted older brother and sister. He attends a private
therapeutic early childhood program five days per week, and also attends
developmental pre k offered through the school district four half days per week.
This client for the first eight months or so of life had no consistency. He had
parentswho were both physically and emotionally unavailable. He was left in his
crib for long periods of time with no interaction and never knew when he would eat
next. He was exposed to domestic violence and at times may have also been a victim

Texas. I picked this project because attending a Unitarian Universalist Church was
always something I was interested in doing. I had known people involved with this

1.What is one thing from the article you didn t know or that surprised you?
There were two things I took away from the article, the first being finding out the
root cause of where self concept stemmed from. For example, according to the
article self concept is first shaped by our mother; we respond back with decisions or
judgments based on our initial experiences from our first caregiver. A child who had
an unresponsive mother will act obnoxious or withdrawn so that people will want to
keep their distance. Those with consistently responsive mothers are confident and

how she perceived me when she first met me five years ago compared to how she
views me now. According to her, I had an attitude that made approaching me hard.

What you can do is converge students from low score school to high score schools
and integrate them so they can pass these tests. When students are failing and
dropping out the problem has to be solved as these kids need to be helped.
Genuinely you can t just make scores rise in low test score schools but what you can
do is close schools that are not trying to educate their students. This will give the
opportunity for the students to get educated at a better school in their district. The
schools are not giving the needed resources for the kids to be successful.
Now schools with low ranking test scores and high dropout rates that are failing the
