In the first stanza John Donne is narrating to the reader. The flea has sucked his blood and hers and he
is now using this flea as an example for his argument by saying:

He is also implying that virginity is small and insignificant. This will obviously offend the girl because

She states that this force enslaves man, force before which man s flesh shrinks away. She goes about
to answer the problem of X acting out in a superior way onto another person, and explains that this
force turns that person into a thing. The force imposed onto them not only degrades them into a slave,
but eventually kills their own sense of humanity and possibly their own lives. Now drawing this back
to Fahon perspective, it could be understood that both find a problem when two forces first interact
with each other. When the two are drastically different from one another, the more advanced and
developed culture is most likely going to feel superior to the other. This then often causes the
dominant culture to treat itself as the force Weil describes, and degrades the others into things.
Additionally, Weil also stresses that this force not only destroys the one being suppressed, but also the
one using the force. She explains that force is at pitless to the man who possesses it, or thinks he does,
as it is to its victims; the second it crushes, the first it intoxicates. This description could be explained
in history when looking back onto the exercises conducted by the Nazi Party. Those who seen as being
inferior by the Nazi s were degraded into things, and eventually killed. However, Weil would also say
that the force imposed by them also caused them to turn into irrational, senseless beings. While using
the force, they lost their sense of thinking rationally, and basically in themselves too became a thing .
