Pile foundation are essential in case where SBC is low or the load coming from superstructure is too heavy,
Topics covered includes Materials used for making piles, Type of piles, load transfer mechanism, factors affecting selection of piles, Installation methods, load carrying capacity of piles, different load tests performed and the behavior of piles as a group.
Prestressed concrete ,post tensioning ,pre tensioning, where normal concrete can not be used and need of more strength is required this type of concrete are used. Metal bars are replaced by the tendoms which are generally used to create tension in concrete. So because of that beam bends in upward direction and when load is applied it come in normal conditon.
Deep foundation work in urban areas are great task to execute , and need to do engineering innovation to accomplish them . Secant pile construction is one of the way to execute .

Pile foundation is that type of deep foundation in which the loads are taken to a low level by means of vertical members which may be of timber, concrete or steel.
General presentation of under-reamed piles. Mainly for diploma engineers, it is really helpful as its objective, dimensions, usage, etc are shown with proper images. It will really helpful for the basic knowledge of under-reamed piles.
This document will help you learn an introductory part and some detailed information on Shallow Foundations. As I am presenting this document to you I wish you all a Happy learning arena. It is highly recommended for students taking a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, also it is a good document for students who are doing final touches for their examinations.
Diaphragm wall: Construction and DesignUmer Farooq
Diaphragm walls are concrete or reinforced concrete walls constructed in slurry-supported, open trenches below existing ground.
Concrete is placed using the Tremie installation method or by installing pre-cast concrete panels (known as a pre-cast diaphragm wall). Diaphragm walls can be constructed to depths of 150 meters and to widths of 0.5 to 1.50 meters.

EXCAVATION FOR FOUNDATION - Methods & Temporary Earth Retaining StructuresShivananda Roy
Generally excavation means to loosen and take out materials leaving space above or below ground. Sometimes in civil engineering term earthwork is used which include back-filling with new or original materials to voids, spreading and leveling over an area.
In this ppt you will get all information regarding shaft sinking. Like what is permanent lining and temporary lining. How to decide shape of shaft, drilling blasting, support, lighting in shaft. Use of shaft and skips.
Exploring the risk factors associated with peb projects in lahore.Rizwan Khurram
The construction industry is more exposed to risk than other industry. If the risk is not handled properly it may causes the poor performance on the industry. The Scale of building projects is large in nature and having large amount of investment. Wastage of any resource influence is high loss in project. All the losses are associated with risk factors. In Pakistan, only few researches have been done so far in this area. Thus this study needs focus of risk management in field of construction projects. We conclude from study that financial issue, skillful workers, shortage and inaccurate design are significant risk factors affecting the projects. Contractors are responsible for risk linked with machinery, material and quality related issues. While clients are responsible for the risk associated with scope of work. Study concludes that good coordination and communication between stakeholders and proper drawings works are key factors to control the project.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.
