Timeline
1. Mastery-Personal Development and Leadership
I will make full use of the recourses given to me so I can learn proper APA style writing, develop my brand, and learn
the necessary skills for my mastery journey.
• Achieve a better understanding of APA writing , to do this I will attend APA writing lectures and read over the APA guide on
owl.english.purdue.edu.
• Be more active in class discussions, I feel I participate in the discussions enough in my undergrad so I am taking upon myself to
be more active.
• Become more proficient in academic research. I am utilizing the resources given to me by Full Sail and the knowledge I attained
as a undergrad in a more timely manner.
2. Defining Client Needs
I will learn about the relationship between the designer and client also how to work efficiently with them.
• Further my knowledge of academic research.
• Achieve a better understanding of the client/designer relationship by speaking with peers to gain their insight in the industry.
• Maintain my blog throughout the month which I will continue to maintain weekly throughout the twelve months while with Full
Sail University with a meaningful inspirational post in addition to posting completed projects in currently in the works.
3. Brand Development
I will further my skills in research and marketing communication, this will be very useful during my time while with at
Full Sail University and when entering the job market.
• Learn how to make a portfolio by watching the course on lynda.com Creating a Photography Portfolio, by Chris Orwig. https://

• Expand my knowledge of programs used in the Media Design industry. I will use skills I have gained from previous classes to
research the tools used in my field so I can become a more adept designer.
• Utilize resources such as lynda.com to learn more about programs such as InDesign and Dream Weaver to help in my field of
study.
4. Effective Copywriting
I will learn more effective professional communication skills and how to effectively defend my research while pushing
my writing.
• Achieve better writing skills by attending lectures on APA writing and continuing to write in APA style to maintain the skills.
• Better my communication skills by posting well thought out discussions in class and using recourses given to me to find books
about obtaining better communication skills.
• Continue to network with others in my field by using resources such as Linkedin.com and Artstation.com.
5. In Design Research
I will further my knowledge by using critical thinking and problem solving while researching the tools used in the
media design field.
• Expand upon critical thinking skills.
• Utilize resources for academic research.
• Use knowledge gained from previous courses to effectively write at the graduate level.
6. Organizational Structures
I will prepare for the media design industry by learning to correctly process and evaluate information while using a
similar workflow that design firms use.
• Further my knowledge of Programs used in Media Design.
• Adhere to a schedule similar to one used in the Media Design industry.
• Effectively evaluate my own work to better myself with skills gained from this course and previous ones.
7. In Design Strategies and Motivation
I will be further exploring concepts gone over in previous courses and expanding my communication skills to use in
future classes and the media design industry.
• Utilize communication skills from previous courses
• Utilize writing skills gained from previous courses
• Refine concepts learned in previous courses
8. Design Integration
I will utilize my research and communication skills I have learned from previous courses to prepare me for the ever-
changing industry.
• Create/maintain accounts on sites such as artstation.com
• Utilize skills from previous courses to excel in the class
• Continue to connect with peers through the dissolution board and email
9. Multi-Platform Delivery
I will use the research and design skills learned from previous courses to create a multi-media campaign, this will
further my experience for when I enter the design world.
• Utilize skills gained in previous classes
• Further my knowledge in the Adobe Suit programs
• Network with peers and those in the industry for advice and job opportunities
10. Measuring Design Effectiveness
I will achieve a higher level of critical thinking and further my research skills while going over market strategies.
• Use critical thinking skills to succeed in my studies
• Utilize communication skills in the assignments and discussions
• Research marketing skills and how they are used in my industry
11. Thesis Presentation of Design Solution
I will simulate a working environment while having me create a presentation on my thesis that I will then present to a
panel of professionals.
• Practice creating presentations and delivering pitches
• Use writing skills gained in previous courses to create a informative thesis
• Continue to connect with peers and those in the professional world and seek a mentor
12. Professional Practice
I will learn how to navigate the legal and ethical issues in my industry to achieve success.
• Continue to search for an internships and or mentors in the Media Design industry
• Research the ethical and legal landscape of media design
• Look for programs to earn a PHD or EdD, possibly in Media Psychology

  • 2. 1. Mastery-Personal Development and Leadership I will make full use of the recourses given to me so I can learn proper APA style writing, develop my brand, and learn the necessary skills for my mastery journey. • Achieve a better understanding of APA writing , to do this I will attend APA writing lectures and read over the APA guide on owl.english.purdue.edu. • Be more active in class discussions, I feel I participate in the discussions enough in my undergrad so I am taking upon myself to be more active. • Become more proficient in academic research. I am utilizing the resources given to me by Full Sail and the knowledge I attained as a undergrad in a more timely manner.

Defining Client Needs I will learn about the relationship between the designer and client also how to work efficiently with them. • Further my knowledge of academic research. • Achieve a better understanding of the client/designer relationship by speaking with peers to gain their insight in the industry. • Maintain my blog throughout the month which I will continue to maintain weekly throughout the twelve months while with Full Sail University with a meaningful inspirational post in addition to posting completed projects in currently in the works.

Brand Development I will further my skills in research and marketing communication, this will be very useful during my time while with at Full Sail University and when entering the job market. • Learn how to make a portfolio by watching the course on lynda.com Creating a Photography Portfolio, by Chris Orwig. https:// www.lynda.com/Photography-tutorials/Creating-Photography-Portfolio/580656-2.html?org=fullsail.edu • Expand my knowledge of programs used in the Media Design industry. I will use skills I have gained from previous classes to research the tools used in my field so I can become a more adept designer. • Utilize resources such as lynda.com to learn more about programs such as InDesign and Dream Weaver to help in my field of study.

Effective Copywriting I will learn more effective professional communication skills and how to effectively defend my research while pushing my writing. • Achieve better writing skills by attending lectures on APA writing and continuing to write in APA style to maintain the skills. • Better my communication skills by posting well thought out discussions in class and using recourses given to me to find books about obtaining better communication skills. • Continue to network with others in my field by using resources such as Linkedin.com and Artstation.com.

In Design Research I will further my knowledge by using critical thinking and problem solving while researching the tools used in the media design field. • Expand upon critical thinking skills. • Utilize resources for academic research. • Use knowledge gained from previous courses to effectively write at the graduate level.

Organizational Structures I will prepare for the media design industry by learning to correctly process and evaluate information while using a similar workflow that design firms use. • Further my knowledge of Programs used in Media Design. • Adhere to a schedule similar to one used in the Media Design industry. • Effectively evaluate my own work to better myself with skills gained from this course and previous ones.
