Make your students interact with content in dynamic ways using rich and engaging tools.   Digital assignments challenge your approach to student achievement, and afford you the opportunity to rethink what you want your students to learn.
Digital Assignment Success     Decide 'what you want your students to demonstrate'. Reshape assignments to allow students to demonstrate learning and achievement. Encourage collaboration when appropriate.  
Assignment Success - the technology Allow for use of Web 2.0 tools - not just writing.  Teach and model appropriate use of tools. Teach students about compatibility and open source. not all file formats are universal stick with formats like PDF, RTF, jpg, and mpg.    
Don't "reinvent the wheel".  There are plenty of great tools out there to use...you don't always need to develop your own.
