• Processes Medicaid Applications as part of the Default Unit with Self Sufficiency.
• Completed agency training on SNAP benefits regarding SNAP policy and ADAPT system
• Completed numerous hours of state and county training regarding computer systems, policy and
work ethics
• Worked as part of a team to help others in the default unit pull necessary client information, such
as Spiders and SAVEs
• Screened four months’ worth of CPU Transfer-In Cases for communication forms

• Managed incoming phone calls from both patients and doctors while simultaneously checking in
patients, validating insurances, and verifying accuracy of new and existing patient information

• Collected new patient paperwork, insurance information, and copayments. Obtained referrals for
new patients meeting certain criteria

• Worked as part of a closing team to balance cash payments and verify accuracy. Prepared the
patient balance schedule for the next day

• Conducted initial assessments / intakes on new clients
• Shadowed primary counselor during individual counseling sessions for adolescent girls; learned
motivational interviewing techniques, how to set SMART goals, and developed process
recordings

• Acted as group facilitator for weekly lecture groups, educating adolescent girls on substance
abuse
