Daniel Engle completed a portfolio project for his Basic Studies class. He found that his community service project, a scavenger hunt, and guest speakers were the most impactful assignments, as they showed him different ways to serve others and opportunities available at his college. His favorite journal entries were ones that opened his eyes to different perspectives and helped him identify self-defeating habits. Daniel's favorite module taught him to take personal responsibility and control of his future through metacognition and decision making. He learned that he needs to be more accountable, strive for his goals, and plan ahead. Daniel felt he changed the most in taking personal responsibility for his actions and future.
