Poem Analysis In How do I love thee by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I believe that the person
talking is professing about a kind of love that can stand the test of time. You know that kind of
love. Every day and moment is cherished by both. Each person knows almost everything about
each other and they have been together for what would seem like forever. It is very rare these days
to see a younger generation finding that love. And in a way it is understandable with all the new

Suddenly they have to live their life like they may be gone the next day and the day they are
living in is their last day on this earth. There is a fire sparked in their life and everything that they
do suddenly matters to them. Even the little things they do for a daily routine, such as brushing
their hair in the morning or picking out an outfit the night before for the day to come. He could
very well be trying to express this kind of love for her by stating it in the poem. Maybe he
already does that and he wants to share it with the world. Like the fact that every little thing that
she does may mean something to him and may put him in a state of awe. Or in the same sense
he could be showing the world that he cares for her because he finds the little things in life that
could make her happy. Toward the end of the poem it also states that he loves this woman with
his childhood s faith. I think what he means is that he loves her like a child would. Looking
back, as a child, nothing really mattered. Everyone that you knew shared what they had with
hardly any questions asked. Your parents were the coolest people you that you knew. You could
roam free with mismatched clothes and shoes and no one would care and you could just play and
everyone was nice to you no matter the color of your skin, how much money your parents made or

PILLOW ANGEL The pillow angel is a reference to a child born with a mental disability and the
parent s ethics in taking care of this child. The term pillow angel is a name given to Ashley by
her family members (Amy Burkholder, 2007). Ashley was born with static encephalopathy
which is a severe brain impairment that leaves her unable to walk, talk, eat, sit up, or roll over

Purpose: The purpose of a Gram Stain procedure is to distinguish bacteria into two fundamental
groups of cells. There are the Gram positive cells and the Gram negative cells. By staining the
cells either violet or red, we can see the two types and their arrangements on the smear. Theory
and Background: 1.After swabbing some microbes from my cheek, I spread the bacterial smear
on the slide. In order to make them stick to the slide, I hold it near a heat source so they can
attach. Then I flood crystal violet on the smear. The color of violet binds to the Gram positive cell

Conclusion: 1.After viewing the end result of the Gram Stain, I saw that the Gram positive

culture under the microscopes, I was able to notice that the Gram positive cells, Enterococcus

the lens reflects the light upside down and inverted and that the brain must switch the image the
correct way. I am curious as to why the lens reflects it upside down, and the reason behind why it

how light energy is turned into electrical signals that can be interpreted and understood by the

Throughout Wilderness 511 the class learns to grasp the aspects between conservation and
preservation. The terms in general seem to be quite similar and closely related, but once the
examples are brought to the table the two terms are easily understood. When talking about

In class we learned about Yellowstone National Park and the battle to preserve it. Yellowstone
National Park was established in 1872 as the first national park, and was made up of two million
acres (Class notes). In the early stages of this becoming a National Park it was not done so to
save the parks nature and animals, it was done so to show how useless to civilization this land
was. This process overcame many challenges, the biggest one being the railroads and the private
industries (Class notes). Adirondack State Park was also a major topic when speaking about
preservation. In 1885 Adirondack Forest was chose to be preserved due to its high demand of
water supply for New York. Not only was this important because it was a major water source but
it was also the first state park to be named as so! It was made up of over 3 million acres and was

preservation was becoming worth it. Preservation was gaining political support all over the United
