Shakespeare s Midsummer Night s Dream is An Elizabethan...
An Elizabethan Era Play with a Greek Twist William Shakespeare wrote the play, A Midsummer Night
s Dream, sometime in the 1590 s. The play, a romantic comedy, portrays the adventures of four young
lovers, an amateur actor s group, their interactions with a Duke and Duchess, and with fairies in a
moonlit forest. Although Shakespeare used certain themes in this play to portray Greek aspects, the
reflection of Elizabethan England is dominant in several different ways. Shakespeare s use of fairies,
the way women are treated, and the use of a class system in this play are all perfect examples of how
very Elizabethan this beloved tale actually is. The Elizabethan era was approximately 1558 1603.
During this period ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shakespeare infuses his own ideals into his fairy characters in order to make them a bit more
Shakespearean. He keeps the Elizabethan ideals of beauty and nature, and makes his fairies small and
with wings. Shakespeare?s use of fairies in his play proved to be a popular move amongst not only
those in Elizabethan England, but readers since. In Shakespeare?s play, numerous examples were
given as to how the women are treated like second class citizens. Those examples are concurrent with
the Elizabethan time period pertaining to the rules of dating and marriage, respect for elders, and
obedience to figures of authority. Children were the property of their parents, and gave them the
respect that a servant might give to his master. This was a time when male domination was the norm.
In this patriarchal society, women had very little, if any, choice in whom their husbands were to be. In
order for families to benefit, marriages were arranged. Shakespeare demonstrates this in the
relationships between the dominant Theseus, Egeus, and Oberon and the characters they attempt to
control. Egeus demands that his daughter, Hermia, must either marry Demetrius or answer to Athenian
law. Theseus orders that if Hermia does not marry his son, she will face death or be sent to a nunnery.
Oberon, the king of fairies, after arguing with his Titania over an Indian boy, decides that he will
disregard her wants and attempt to control her without

Different Types of Change Management Models
Introduction:
In this week literature synthesis different types of change/models of change were introduced. Many
change management models are adapted from natural science models such as chaos theory or the
behavior of living organisms to nature (Dooley, 1997). The application of these theories will be used
as a Meta theory for better understanding change management behavior in theory and practice.
Therefore change management models have evolved over the last decades.
In addition, change models can be used for changing a strategy (Gioia and Chittipeddi, 1991) or
changing an organization (Caldwell, 2003). The change itself can be done episodically or continuously
(Weick and Quinn, 1999).
Single, double and triple loop learning in change management
In my opinion an important feature of many models of change is that they underline single and double
loop learning rather than triple loop learning. Gioa and Chittipeddi (1991, p. 444) notes that the
Sensemaking and Sensegiving model contains a re visioning loop which is from my point of you a
typical double loop learning process according to Agrys and SchĂśn (1978). Additionally, Weick and
Quinn (1999) describe single loop learning as a first order change and follow the typology of the life
cycle and evolution approach according to Van de Ven and Poole (1995). Further, Weick and Quinn
(1999) claim that a first order change creates only a minor alteration in a current conviction. Torbert
(1999, p.202) adds that the Meta theory

Foreign Affairs Should Be Legal
The United state is known as the Police of the world, the world super power which involves itself in
numerous foreign affairs for multiple reasons. The choice to continue their involvement in these
foreign affairs should be reconsidered. The United states s involvement in various foreign affairs can
be for a number of reasons and some of them may not be completely public. The politics that go into
the decision can have a large background but it is still something that should be reconsidered in some
situations. The word humanitarian is very commonly used to describe the reason for the involvement.
There is also a chance that this is a reason they are telling the public but on the other hand it might just

Of course when national security is at risk it is always a time to take action. However should the
United State continue to attempt to integrate our values into other countries? Is discrimination in
another country enough for the United States military to take action. Would the United States

should be given more consideration than in previous times. One such instance of the United States
involvement not completely eradicating the issues within the country is within Libya. After United
States Ended its involvement within the Civil War the new Libyan government continued fighting

of human rights abuse are being caused by the rebel forces after the fighting ended.
Many pros and cons to the US involvement in foreign countries. A major Pro is that there may be
suppressed nations that are in need of some type of humanitarian acts in order to free or help them.
there may be others that are recovering some type of breakdown of their country or simply a relief
effort for countries who are trapped in a war. However these acts of humanities also come with cons,
One such con is the risk of causing more international turmoil during the process.countries may feel

The author points out that a nation is not a product in the conventional sense . The Nation itself can
hardly be changed, the benefits are purely emotional, the Image is complicated and the ownership is
unclear. A nation brand is not centered on any specific product, service or cause that can be promoted
directly to the customer. But Nation branding concerns a countries whole image, covering political,
economic, historical and cultural dimensions. A Nation has not one but multiple images. What image
is retrieved depends on the audience , the context and the time. The author finds out that negative
national image does not necessarily affect the purchase of products made by that country, by giving
the example of Japan and China. The author tries to find out the direction of the correlation between
countries that have produced strong brands and those that are strong brands themselves . Nation
branding must be distinctive and help the country to position itself against competitors . A difficulty is

Essay on Alice Walker s Everyday Use
Alice Walker s Everyday Use
In the short story Everyday Use by Alice Walker, the author portrays opposing ideas about one s
heritage. Through the eyes of two daughters, Dee and Maggie, who have chosen to live their lives in
very different manners, the reader can choose which character to identify most with by judging what is
really important in one s life. In Dee s case, she goes out to make all that can of herself while leaving
her past behind, in comparison to Maggie, who stays back with her roots and makes the most out of
the surroundings that she has been placed in. Through the use of symbolism, the tangible object of a
family heirloom quilt brings out these issues relating to heritage to Mama, and she is able to

Obviously, Dee s family is not who is actually oppressing her. Dee oppresses herself in many ways by
the limitations that she puts on herself with her family and new lifestyle. All of the choices she
decides, to make herself a more well rounded person, to better fit into society, end up making her a
deplorable person because of the harm that it has on her family. Literary critic Mary Helen
Washington believes Dee is an example of a stereotypical assimilated women who alienates them self
from their roots, and cuts them self off from real contact with their own people and their inner self
(22). This concept explains why Dee rarely makes trips home, and shows that she is really disowning
a part of herself by not accepting her family and past.
On the other hand, the younger of the daughters, Maggie, is portrayed as a more homely and loyal
daughter who is deeply in touch with her heritage. On a personal level, Maggie does not contain the
strong willed personality of her sister, but is very content with her family s past, and the direction that
her life is taking. Maggie is so accustomed to her strong family ties and the family history that
surrounds her everyday in the house, that it is not a priority to have the quilts passed along to her. She
does not need a tangible object to hold on to as her past. Mama knew that it was Grandma Dee and
Big Dee who taught her how to quilt herself ,

Movie Review: We Were Soldiers Once Angela Lewis Student ID# 5849

Dr. Kenneth Miller
There is a plethora of exemplary leadership examples depicted in the movie entitled We Were Soldiers
Once. Mel Gibson was brilliant in his leading role as Lt. Colonel Hal Moore who led his brigade into
battle in Vietnam by being and doing exactly what he expected of his troops. He led by example. He
modeled the way. He also exemplified the same leadership qualities portrayed on the battlefield in his
roles as father and husband. Not only did Moore signify leadership qualities in his roles, but he

In so doing, they empower their subordinates and build their confidence.
This is vital to a thriving organization because empowerment says that the leader will stand behind
you and support you when the going gets tough. He was also very direct and honest. He gave them no
false hope by being straightforward with them about the possibility of not coming home alive.
However, he did promise that they would all come home, dead or alive. Leaders have to be authentic
and even at the worst possible outcome show integrity. This is how one creates a climate of trust and
creating a climate of trust should be a leader s first order of business. If there is mutual trust among the
leader and his constituents, they can carry out their assignment with diligence, commitment and
empowerment; when subordinates feel empowered they can move forward with creativity and
initiative.
Colonel Moore demonstrated his creativity in the scene where the cannon would not fire because it
was too hot and they had no water supply to cool it off. He showed that he was a leader who could
think on his feet and improvise. He stood up and starting pissing on the cannon to cool it off and
ordered his men to do the same. In war, and many times in business and personal

Essay On Anderson Cooper 360 Show
This time in America, the news broadcasters have had no shortage of information to discuss on
television. These programs have many topics such as President Donald Trump, riots, Hurricane
Harvey, and other recent events. After analyzing Anderson Cooper 360, most of these discussions
involve President Trump, and negative comments towards him. CNN does not seem valid, because
they use opinions and assumption, they use words that seem unprofessional, and only the negative
views are brought up in the broadcast. During the Anderson Cooper 360 show on August 24, 2017,
Trump was the main topic throughout the show. In the begining, Anderson Coopere brought up Trump
making Mexico pay for a boarder wall. He brings up that Trump threatens to shut down the

Most topics that were brought up only showed the unpleasant side of President Trump s plans. They
did not bring up possibly benefits. When they showed clips of Sarah Sanders defending President
Trump, the clips were short and did not defend President Trump s side very well. The other clips were
negative towards President Trump and his plans as President. If there is a point that is arguable then I
beleive there should be two strong sides to show that there is no bias. Even though there werer other
topics, it was easy to observe that they are against President Trump s plans. Taking everything into
consideration, the Anderson Cooper 360 show on CNN appears to contain invalid information. I
believe they are baised and opinionated. Although there are many topics to discuss in America
currently, this show thrives off of the negativities of President Donald Trump. The main reasons that I
believe this show is invalid are that they use opinions and assumptions in the show, some of the word
choices seem unprofesstional, and the show appears to be only able to bring up the negative

The Pros And Cons Of Poverty In North America
In North America, millions of people are affected by poverty. High class members of the United States
in charge of large corporations take advantage of these lower class individuals. Impoverished
individuals who are able to find a job usually work for minimum wage and experience poor working
conditions. These lower class workers do not deserve the lifestyle they must deal with. Low class
individuals not only have to struggle with finding employment, but also have to worry about the
government of the United States mistreating them. Whether someone is an impoverished immigrant or
U.S. born citizen, it is evident that the government and large corporations in North America take
advantage of low class individuals by offering them jobs with atrocious pay and working conditions.
First, there are a huge number of impoverished individuals in North America being affected by the
government taking advantage of their social position. In the article, How the Poor Are Made to Pay for
Their Poverty, Barbara Ehrenreich shows the difficulty of being poor in America. Ehrenreich states,
Being poor itself is not yet a crime, but in at least a third of the states, being in debt can now land you
in jail (381). One example is the way law enforcement is singling out poor people by fining them for
things they cannot afford such as, not being able to pay for their children s education. America s low
class individuals already struggle to afford a decent lifestyle. The government shouldn t be

Similarities And Differences Between Beowulf And Iliad
Beowulf and Iliad are some of the most famous stories in literature. In both stories we can see how the
characteristics of heroic is presented in many sorts of different ways. Although they bear some
superficial similarities, the differences between Beowulf and Iliad are clear. They both involved heroic
events, but the settings and the way both stories are being told involved many dissimilarities. The both
heroes in the stories are also interacted with supernatural beings and many different sorts of events. In
Beowulf we see characteristics such as bravery, loyalty, honor, superhuman physical strength, and the
willingness to risk his life for the greater good. Beowulf shows bravery when he hears about how
Grendel is attacking the Hrothgar and the hall. Grendel was attacking the men at night and Beowulf
wanted to go help. In his far off home Beowulf, Higlac s follower and the strongest of the Geats
greater and stronger than anyone anywhere in this world heard how Grendel filled nights with horror
and quickly commanded a boat fitted out, proclaiming that he d go to that famous king, would sail
across the sea to Hrothgar, now when help was needed. (Beowulf 111 116) In this section we see how
Beowulf was not afraid to go up against Grendel . He shows his willing to risk his life for the greater
good when he is not afraid to go up against the dragon in his last battle. I ve never known fear, as a

With English speaking taking over the Cajun language suffers. With 18,000 out of the 700,000 people
who live in the Cajun Country today still speak the native language. (History of Cajun Country, 2006).
Cajun French was made from African, Spanish, Native American and English origins. The language
that was spoken widely by the settlers has fallen by great numbers. One of the main reasons the
number has lower is because anyone who spoke the language from 1916 to the 1960s was punished
for speaking it or learning it. Luther Hall that was elected as governor in 1912 made new acts to make
English the primary language spoken. In 1916 Act 27 was turned into law. The Act forces all children
to attend public schools where English was taught and only spoken. This made the children who were
raised in households that spoke Cajun French to learn English. (History of the Cajuns: Encyclopedia
of Cajun Life,2009) This resulted in the future leaders and workers learning English rather their own.
If any student or citizen spoke their native language, they were to be punished. Some say that they
were to write 100 times so they won t speak it again or get hit on their knuckles with a stick (paulet in
Cajun French). This leads to Cajun French to fade away. It was not till 1968 when CODOFIL (Council
for the Development of French in Louisiana) that was made to bring French back in the schools

Should We Remember The Book Night
As someone may ask, how can a literature help us remember such a horrific event such as the
Holocaust and help honor those of many victims? Well, some evidence I have from this comes from
three different sources.
The first one is from the book night by Elie Weisel. The evidence I got for that to help my first
statement of the reasons how literature can help honor and remember those victimized in the holocaust
would be just the simple reasoning of why exactly he wrote that book. The reasoning why he wrote
that book is to help us remember exactly what happened and to warn us about future events and to
stick up for others when you need to break the silence of a repetitive wrong action. You should never
let anything go bad beyond, saying, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

will not be stifled as we lend them ours and that their freedom depends on ours, the quality of our
freedom depends on theirs. Elie also states that no one is as capable of gratitude as one who has

The status of the land remained in violence because agreed papers confirming access never existed.
1965 The two countries went to war again after Pakistan launched a war across the ceasefire line into
Indian s land Jammu and Kashmir. India got revenge by crossing the international border at Lahore.
1971 Pakistan entered into a civil war after East Pakistan wanted autonomy and later wanted

At the end of 1971, Bangladesh was created out of East Pakistan. 1989 Resistance to Indian rule broke

Lord Of The Flies Civilization Analysis
Within any civilization, there are multiple key components required in order to create a functioning
society. As explained through Lord of the Flies by William Golding, these pivotal building blocks of a
civilization can play a great part into bringing a group of people to society, or drag them all down into
savagery. The conch shell is an excellent example of political legitimacy and democratic power.
Although, while this device can be used for good; providing others with order and sanity, it can also
be used for the utter destruction of a civilization. The conch shell in Lord of the Flies by William
Golding begins as civilization and order, becomes the fragility of power and influence, and concludes
with the collapse of any civilized thoughts. Civilization and order can be found within every society,
and this is no exception within the group of boys in the beginning of the novel. Throughout the
exposition of the story, governance over the group of boys was unknown. No order was established to
influence the boys to cooperate and fulfill the needed tasks to get off the island. Although, there was a
stillness about Ralph as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance...yet
most powerfully, there was the conch. The being that had blown that, had sat waiting for them on the
platform with the delicate thing balanced on his knees, was set apart (Golding 22). The conch shell
was able to control and demand a large audience. It provided Ralph with a

demonstrates through his opinion that war against the Indians is a rightful act due to the fact that the
Indians are seen as lower beings. The proof that Sepulveda uses to support his position is the glimpse
the Spaniards noted in the short time they observed the Indians. Sepulveda thought that the Indians

Impact of Big Business on Politics and the Economy Essay
After the Civil war, large businesses ruled America. Prior to the industrial revolution, the government
upheld a hands off approach towards business. Under the laissez faire principle, free, unregulated
markets led to competition, yet this system suffered under the wrath of growing corporations. The
impact of big business on the economy and politics was immense during 1870 to 1899. Corporations
were growing significantly in number and size, which had a domineering affect on American economy
and defined American life. The growing corporations in America dominated most of the economy,
creating a large gap between the rich and the poor. During this time period food, lightening, and fuel

This illustrates that the Senate is controlled by big business, and how easily wealthy people had power
over the government. Moreover, the railroad presidents were seen as kings, they could delay lawsuits,
control the government and the people, corrupt communities, and control the press (DOC B).
Important railroad companies dictated government policies because the legal system favored railroad
interests. Further, trying to better the political system, the Populist Party made themselves known.
Their platform demanded that the government be restored to the hands of the plain people. They
wanted to end oppression, injustice, and poverty (DOC F). Evidently, they were dedicated to political
and social reform, and urged that the government be strengthened and take responsibility of the
people. The harsh working conditions resulting from industrialization drove laborers to organize into
unions. Economist David A. Wells compares working in a factory to working in the military because
workers are taught to perform one single task. Moreover, manufacturing has largely taken away
workers pride in their work (DOC C). Mass production techniques led to specialization of labor,
which subsequently decreased workers pride in their craft, as well as left workers largely unskilled.
Further Samuel Gompers, founder of the AF to L, addressed the International Labor Congress in
Chicago and stated that people should not be considered property. He advocated that labor

Three Most Important Composers of the Twentieth Centruy
Music underwent a plethora of changes throughout the twentieth century, including a complete
transformation from the large symphonic works of the late 1800s to the short, electronic ditties of the
late 1900s. With all that change, choosing only three composers to represent the entire twentieth
century would be impossible. For example, the innovation of electronic music added an entirely new
genre to the world of classical music; however, the three composers discussed here did not write in
that style and instead influenced other aspects of the music world. Arnold Schoenberg, Aaron
Copland, and Igor Stravinsky each greatly impacted the musical world around them. Schoenberg s
journey away from tonality to serialism changed the way that composers wrote for the rest of the
century, while Copland s music emancipated American sound from the European styles. Stravinsky
brought many musical styles to the height of what could be accomplished in each one, and his
excellence influenced many composers during and after his time. Schoenberg, Copland, and
Stravinsky represent three of the most important composers of the twentieth century. The founder of
the second Viennese School, Arnold Schoenberg, was known as a prominent composer and a
comprehensive theorist who addressed both aesthetic and philosophical issues. Schoenberg s early
works served to sum up Romantic ideas. Written in 1903 and orchestrated in 1910, Gurrelieder was a
pinnacle of the Romantic style. Schoenberg composed

The Role Of Sexism In Advertising
Advertisements from the early 1900s to today s marketing propaganda have changed dramatically in
terms of picture and context through the years. Some similarities still remain through the evolution of
marketing merchandise, but many differences can be seen in more recent ads. The Palmolive soap
company s advertisements from the 1900s exemplify the issue of sexism that took place in that time
period. The ads primarily focus on the youth and beauty of women and how it appeals to men. The
advertisement creators target the insecurities of women and threaten the achievement of being loved
by a man. Women are made to believe that their intelligence does not contribute to a man s affection,
but only beauty will grant a woman the gift of eternal love ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Creators focus mainly on the appearance of the ads rather than presenting a contextual argument.
Advertisement agencies have almost completely dropped phrases and text on their ads and solely rely
on the quality of the picture to present their case. Coloration, symbolism, and other visual cues are
emphasized in today s ads to catch the audience s attention. Whereas the older ads depended almost
entirely on presenting their product through bombarding the endorsement with paragraphs of text. The
advancement of technology brings new ways to access more eye catching coloration and a better
quality of picture. Many people are more attracted to a brightly colored, provocative image rather than
a page full of bland text which can be seen as a reason to completely rely on picture

Bullies Need a Harsher Punishment
Tenesha Bolden

Bullies Need a Harsher Punishment Bullying is on the rise in the U.S.; therefore, more researchers are
attentive to the effects of bullying. There are extreme cases wherein victims have resorted to drastic
measures. Bullying is a widespread plight, which is having both emotional and tragic effects;
therefore, bullies should be harshly prosecuted and imprisoned. In arguing that bullies need a harsher
punishment, this research paper will closely examine the types of bullying and statistics, detail two
teen suicide cases, and provide the state law.
According to Dan Olweus, research professor of psychology from Norway and creator of the Olweus
Bullying Prevention Program, defines bullying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
the law As of 2008, state laws on bullying, harassment, and cyber bullying varies; for instance, states
like Maryland and Virginia delegate responsibility to the State Boards and county Board of Education.
Maryland s code §7 424.1 requires the State Board to develop a model policy prohibiting bullying,
harassment, or intimidation in schools, and cyber bullying code §7 424 requires local boards of
education to submit an annual report to the Department of Education all the while not specifying
punishment upon said bullying or harassment ( State and Federal Information: Maryland ).
Unfortunately, nowhere in the law does it specify consequences for the bullies and their actions.
Virginia s code 8.01 220.1:2 provides immunity from liability for school employees and volunteers
from civil damages arising from reporting alleged acts of bullying or crimes against others if the
person in good faith promptly reports such acts or crimes to the appropriate school official
incompliance with specified procedures ( State and Federal Information: Virginia ). Like that of
Maryland, Virginia s policy does not specify ramifications for bullying, harassment, or cyber bullying.
In extreme bullying cases wherein victims committed suicide, why not punish bullies with a
mandatory sentence of 5 10 years imprisonment in maximum security? Then for repetitive bullying
cases of living victims, bullies should be sentenced to 2 4 years mandatory sentence in a minimum

The Uses Of Human Biological Remains
The use of human biological remains can tell us quite a lot about how past civilizations lived. One is
able to deduce from the findings whether groups of people were transient or stationary by examining
findings from a midden. Refuse stashes also tell us much of what a specific group consumes in terms
of diet or housing materials. One is able to discover how long ago an individual lived by using dating
measurements such as radio carbon dating or argon dating. The use of human biological remains is the
most beneficial and educational resource for archeologists in the field and in the laboratory.
There are many ways to determine antiquity with archeological findings that fall under two main
categories, relative dating and absolute dating. Relative dating uses techniques applied by the
archeologists themselves and produce a general understanding of the age of findings while absolute
dating can provide an exact date the biological remains were alive and uses much more elaborate and
in depth laboratory testing techniques. Absolute dating techniques such as dendrochronology,
radiocarbon dating, and argon dating are the most effective and wide spread methods for dating human
biological remains to provide a detailed analysis of antiquity. Radiocarbon dating is the most
widespread and commonly used technique for dating human remains in archeology. It is known that
all living things contain carbon and upon death carbon breaks down at a specific and steady rate once.

Cultural Appropriation Of The United States
It has become one of the leading issues especially in the United States in the past few years. In the
world today, many people are witless as to what is cultural appropriation. Cultural appropriation
defines as when one culture adopts an element of another culture. (Uwujaren 9/30/13) When it comes
to Cultural appropriation a lot of the South Asian culture get appropriated. Being a South Asian myself
I feel obligated to let people know.
There are many examples of cultural appropriation today, such as henna tattoos, bindi s, sports team
names, and even clothes. These cultures or traditions have become a fad for people, especially in
America. People who are within the culture tend to get offended when their culture is made into a fad.
There are many arguments in newspapers, blogs, and articles that are against cultural appropriation. I,
myself have come upon many posts on Tumblr.com that have to do with Cultural appropriation.
Huffingtompost.com also has multiple articles on the subject.
One of the cultures that has been appropriated is Henna. Henna tattoos also known as mehndi have
become a sort of fashion in America for the past year. One can get henna tattoos applied anywhere at
any time. Yet the majority of Americans who go to carnivals, theme parks, and rodeos have no idea
where henna originates from and what it is actually meant for. Henna tattoos originated from
subcontinent India before Pakistan. (Parmer 11/13) It is meant to be put on during happy occasions

The Importance Of Female Characters In Disney Films
Children s animation has always been a specific genre that attracts a lot of attention due to the affect
its characters can have on young kids. Arguably the most popular children s animated films franchise
is the Disney Princess line, where about twelve female characters from these Disney films serve as the
main protagonist throughout their respective movies. Young girls around the world obsess over the
Disney Princesses as they remain highly popular due to frequent films and merchandising. The
Princesses who star in these films are seen as role models to these young women, especially in
American culture as they typically have redeemable qualities and make the best out of troublesome
situations. Although Disney films are especially popular in the United States as well as worldwide,
they are not as well favored in Japan. Japanese animated children s films are beloved in their home
country, specifically ones that feature a strong, pre teen female protagonist. The Studio Ghibli film
studio has many female roles in their animated films, and audiences view these characters as more age
appropriate to their target audience: female children and pre teen girls. American audiences that are
exposed to these Japanese films seem to agree that the female characters are more realistic, more
personable, and have better views and goals than those of the Disney Princess franchise. Two films
both released in 1989, Disney s The Little Mermaid and Studio Ghibli s Kiki s Delivery Service both

Should Napoleon Be Considered A Hero Essay
Should Napoleon Bonaparte Be Considered A Hero or tarrant?
A hero is defined as a man who starts from the bottom and climbs the top to achieve greatness based
on his talent. Should Napoleon be considered as a hero? Mostly people would argue that Napoleon is a
hero as his brave nature made France one of the superior countries in the world. I believe Napoleon
was a hero, as his many accomplishments improved the French society and ultimately enlightened the
world. Not only he did better for France through his policy but he also expanded the boundaries of
France with many battles through his strategically planned military. He gave citizens of France the
pride they needed.
Being a military genius, Napoleon won many battles to expand his French territory. His strategic
military plans throughout many wars made him a hero all over the Europe. Although his army was less
than half by Austrians Napoleon s brilliant strategies resulted in a defeat of his enemy armies in the
Battle of Austerlitz. In many other battles that Napoleon won he always used his military ... Show

How Does Masculinity Affect Women
We often see women affected by social norms and negatively represented but it s always good to look
at the other side of the spectrum. Masculinity can deeply affect and cause issues in boys and young
men. These issues are mainly emotional damages and the definition of what being a man is. On of the
ways to fix this would be to better represent masculinity and widen the spectrum of what a man really
is. First of all, the definition of what being a man is a central issue for young males. Paul Theroux
talks about always liking being a man in his essay, Being a Man. He points out that, Fiction

said huffily. Boys talk about sports, like their matches and who scored what and stuff or they talk

can see the emotional damages of expectations in Walkers eleven year old son. He has to pretend to be
someone he is not in order to make a conversation with someone. This shows the pressures of
masculinity on young males. The constraints of conversations has brought an eleven year old into
tears about not fitting in. This shows a small spectrum of the psychological issues and damages on
males. Paul Theroux also goes on to speak about the causes of the psychological problems males face
in Being a Man, he claims that, how can one think about men without considering the terrible
ambition of manliness?... It is a hideous and crippling lie, it not only insists on difference and connvies
out superiority, it is also by its nature destructive━emotionally damaging and socially harmful.
Theroux is trying to say that masculinity allows superiority and difference between men and women
which causes damage between both gender and socially harm them. The act of making men and
women seperate has caused a

Machismo In Gabriel Garcia Marquez s Chronicle Of A Death...
Machismo is defined as being a strong sense of masculine pride, or an exaggerated masculinity. The
characters in the novella, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, are all effected by machismo in one way or
another. To someone who hasn t learned much about the topic, it seems beneficial to the men, since
they continue to be higher on the social pyramid. But, the men in the novel don t necessarily benefit
from machismo, along with honor and revenge culture, and the woman certainly do not benefit from
any of this. This all ties into the historical context of the novel, which takes place during La Violencia,
an event which lasted a decade and featured heightened tensions between citizens and politicians, and
political uprisings. This all brought fear to the citizens of Colombia and didn t make anything forced
onto the men and women any better. In the fiction novella Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel
Garcia Marquez, the author uses and manipulates the men in the novel to give the reader a better
understanding of Colombia/the Colombian culture, machismo, and the theme of honor. The plot of
Chronicle involves the death of Santiago Nasar, a man who is accused of claiming Angela Vicario s
virginity before she is ever married. When her husband, Bayardo San Roman, finds out that she isn t a

government itself or organizations that are depending on the government. Procurement by government
and for government is the stage where has the potential for corruption to happen. Therefore, we need
to pay attention on procurement to prevent corruption. What is most important in procurement is that
it must be announced in a public newspaper. E procurement on the other hand is the use of the internet

It is necessary to name the benefits and advantages of e procurement. The main benefit is to engage
public sector into helping provide governmental requirements. E informing as well as e tendering and
e auctioning bring greater transparency will by the publishing of notices and contract electronically.
The public can check and control the procurement process through official websites (Novriyanto,
2008). As long as all the procedures are transparent enough, it makes all the parties, either the
government or the suppliers, be accountable based on activities they are doing, corruption reduction
happens as well. Since internet and communication technologies removed the geographical

Simplification of transaction processes makes ordering and approval faster One good example in this

transactions are not recorded in their two fold aspects . There are limitations of single entry
bookkeeping in comparison to double entry bookkeeping. Hanif (2013) Fleay et al (2011) Ahmed
(2008) Mukherjee and Hanif (2006)postulate that due to single entry bookkeeping not acknowledging
nominal accounts, this results in the trading and profit and loss account cannot be prepared .
Additionally, single entry bookkeeping does not have set rules that double entry bookkeeping has,
resulting in potential confusion. Additionally, employers integrating double entry bookkeeping into
their business in comparison to single entry are able to make better decisions, signifying the critical
importance of double entry bookkeeping, in regards to benefiting employers, guiding them to make
better, informed decisions.

Similarities Between Cow And Cow
If you have ever cared for an animal you know, it is never as easy as it seems. A good deal of time,
effort, and money go into taking care of pets and/or livestock properly. While sometimes it feels like a
downhill slide, at the end of a long day farmers feel a sense of accomplishment. A good farmer will
give any living animal the best life it can live even though we tend to care for each species differently.
While horses and cows have many similarities when it comes to appearances, they have many
different features that categorize them as equine or bovine.
Cows and horses both live off of grasses that they can forage for. Many farmers feed hay in months
that grass is not as plentiful, as well as supplementing horse and cows with grain types many of which
include oats, corn, and molasses. Farmers either bale their own or search for high quality hay for both
species. During summer months, rotational grazing systems allowing cattle and horses to forage for

same drawing there will always be a main focus that teaches a new lesson and learning these is
imperative for any artist. The media used on these drawings are graphite, charcoal, ink wash, and
prisma pencil. Project one, is of an orange. Sims follows this theme by experimenting with mixed
media. She uses graphite, charcoal, and ink wash as well as 11 media processes in the creation of this
piece including, hatching, cross hatching, scribbling, tortillion marks and many more. This project is
used as a preview to all the processes that can be used in the creation of a drawing. Project two depicts
a closet scene, the viewer is looking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sims wanted this collection to be used as a way for prospective artists to see and understand some of
the most important concepts of creating a drawing. The drawings of this collection are objective, every
mark was intentional and the meanings behind the images are not complicated. Her idea was to show
how to create a drawing rather than to make the viewer guess how to do it like they would with
subjective art where nothing is definite. Overall, any drawing that is created will have at least one of
the concepts shown in this collection. It does not matter whether the image is hundreds of years old or
will not be created for another hundred years. To be a successful drawing, it will have to contain at
least one of these

How Did Ben Chifley Influence The Labour Movement
I try to think of the Labour movement, not as putting an extra sixpence into somebody s pocket, or
making somebody Prime Minister or Premier, but as a movement bringing something better to the
people, better standards of living, greater happiness to the mass of the people. We have a great
objective the light on the hill which we aim to reach by working for the betterment of mankind not
only here but anywhere we may give a helping hand.
This is but a short excerpt of Ben Chifley s famous Light on the Hill speech in 1949, but it shows the
extent of his political aptitude and beliefs as a true believer in the Labour movement. He is best
recognised for his leadership in the Keynesian, interventionalist reconstruction of the Australian
economy following the Second World War and also his tenure as the architect of the Australian
welfare state since 1945. As such, it is highly evident Ben Chifley had a substantial impact on the post
war Australian economy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Educating himself in economics and finance in order to boost his electoral appeal, Chifley began his
political career in 1928, having won the NSW seat of Macquarie for the ALP and later became prime
minister following John Curtin s death in 1945. Chifley heavily believed in the ideology of democratic
socialism, the guiding philosophy of the Australian Labor party, which led him to attempt to achieve
what he described as, a greater general intervention and planning in economic and social affairs in

E Phishing Software And The Privacy Of Consumers Online By...
Fortunately, many solutions have been implemented to mitigate the negative repercussions of
phishing, hacking, and piracy. For example, Anti phishing software provides safety to consumers
online by warning and preventing them from entering phishing websites. To consumer s conveniences,
anti phishing software have been installed into most web browsers and email clients. Extensions and
toolbars such as Netcraft can also augment the efficacy of successfully identifying phishing attempts.
(***) In addition, reCaptcha and networks can further ensure the safety of consumers online.
reCaptcha helps distinguish valid human users from bot attacks. ReCaptcha requires users to decipher
an image of distorted text that bots normally cannot decode. As ... Show more content on

End User License Agreements are legal contracts between software author/publishers and users. It
allows the author/publisher to control, though not necessarily enforce, and inform consumers how
digital products can be used after purchase. Any deviations from the contract can be followed by legal
actions from the author or creator. Copyrights provide further protection over how products are used,
specifically over making copies, performing in public, broadcasting, and using online.
(http://www.patentsoffice.ie/en/copyright_benefits.aspx) It also gives the right of creators/publishers
to sue copyright infringers for misuse, exploitive copying, and piracy. Finally, DRMs are methods of
enforcing control over how digital products and works are used after purchase a direct attack against
piracy. DRMs usually employ codes that prevents any unauthorized distribution or copying of games,
music, and e books. All three solution ensure that content creators and publishers do receive all, if not
close to all, the profit for a product. Thus, e commerce benefits as creators are more confident in
conducting business online. However, some of these solutions introduce other problems and
inconveniences to consumers that damage e commerce. For example, ReCaptcha has become
increasingly difficult to decipher in response to Hackers improving algorithms in bots. By 2012, as
many as 90% of people found it difficult or impossible to decipher reCaptcha images, which adds not

Issues In The Transgender Community
Trans Pandemic The transgender community has been facing much more ridicule than society realizes
in our generation, we have been trying to change and accept more and more things. Yet I never
realized how much and how little improvement has happened in the past years. While watching The
Daily Show, one of my favorite television shows, I heard about the problems I never really have
thought about before. Actually realizing all the issues within the transgender community really
surprised me. One major problem is the Bathroom Bill, a bill some people are trying to get passed.
One of these many types of bills would restrict access to transgender people using the bathroom they
identify with; one example is a house bill that was attempted to be ... Show more content on

If these people are fighting so hard because God doesn t approve of their lifestyle (of being their true
selves,) society s logic is incredibly flawed. They are not only judging the transgender community but
hurting other people, religion is about equality and acceptance no matter what. It is not a sin to desire
feeling comfortable in your own body. You wear sweatpants, he wears a dress. Move on. I loved the
way the daily show tried to shine some light on the transgender community all while pointing out how
ridiculously people are reacting to transgender people living the way they were meant to. Making light
of these situations is really helpful in times like this. Even within harsh circumstances, every person of
every gender (and sex) deserve a laugh. The bathroom bill is a bill that shines light on the issues
people face every day, issues that should not be issues in the first

Examples Of Vestibulee In Dante s Inferno
Dante, first, talks about the people of Vestibule. These people are considered trimmers and neutrals.
People who are in Vestibule are neither a part of Heaven nor Hell. The consequences of their actions
in this world is reflected in the afterlife as a punishment. Their punishment is chasing a banner and
being bitten by insects. Chasing a banner is a punishment which reflects that these people followed
every opportunity in the world; therefore, they will keep doing the same thing in the hereafter. The
connection between the insects and the people of Vestibule is insects benefit from human beings as the
people of Vestibule continually benefit from other people throughout their lifetime. Their punishment
is not an external punishment because what they plant now is what they will harvest later. Virgil says,
We have come to the place where / I said that you would see the woeful people / who have lost the
good of the intellect (Dante, 1417). This quote explains how these people created their own Hells by
using their intellect for the wrong purposes. They got what they deserved as the actions ... Show more

The punishment for the angry is thrashing around and taring each other as for the sullen it is being
unheard and unseen. Trashing around and taring each other fits their sin because angry people always
fight with others, therefore, their punishment is trashing. Being submerged fit the sullen because the
sullen people were given a promising life, however they spent their lives moping and pitying
themselves. Dante explains these people as, In the world he was an arrogant person; / no kindness
adorned his memory, / so his shade is furious here (Dante, 46 48). He adds, As one who learns of a
great trick, / played on him and who resents it, / so Phlegyas became in his pent up rage. (Dante,
1433). This example shows that even the guardian of this circle, Phlegyas, is very angry which
represents the sinners of this Hell s

  • 2. Shakespeare s Midsummer Night s Dream is An Elizabethan... An Elizabethan Era Play with a Greek Twist William Shakespeare wrote the play, A Midsummer Night s Dream, sometime in the 1590 s. The play, a romantic comedy, portrays the adventures of four young lovers, an amateur actor s group, their interactions with a Duke and Duchess, and with fairies in a moonlit forest. Although Shakespeare used certain themes in this play to portray Greek aspects, the reflection of Elizabethan England is dominant in several different ways. Shakespeare s use of fairies, the way women are treated, and the use of a class system in this play are all perfect examples of how very Elizabethan this beloved tale actually is. The Elizabethan era was approximately 1558 1603. During this period ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Shakespeare infuses his own ideals into his fairy characters in order to make them a bit more Shakespearean. He keeps the Elizabethan ideals of beauty and nature, and makes his fairies small and with wings. Shakespeare?s use of fairies in his play proved to be a popular move amongst not only those in Elizabethan England, but readers since. In Shakespeare?s play, numerous examples were given as to how the women are treated like second class citizens. Those examples are concurrent with the Elizabethan time period pertaining to the rules of dating and marriage, respect for elders, and obedience to figures of authority. Children were the property of their parents, and gave them the respect that a servant might give to his master. This was a time when male domination was the norm. In this patriarchal society, women had very little, if any, choice in whom their husbands were to be. In order for families to benefit, marriages were arranged. Shakespeare demonstrates this in the relationships between the dominant Theseus, Egeus, and Oberon and the characters they attempt to control. Egeus demands that his daughter, Hermia, must either marry Demetrius or answer to Athenian law. Theseus orders that if Hermia does not marry his son, she will face death or be sent to a nunnery. Oberon, the king of fairies, after arguing with his Titania over an Indian boy, decides that he will disregard her wants and attempt to control her without ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Different Types of Change Management Models Introduction: In this week literature synthesis different types of change/models of change were introduced. Many change management models are adapted from natural science models such as chaos theory or the behavior of living organisms to nature (Dooley, 1997). The application of these theories will be used as a Meta theory for better understanding change management behavior in theory and practice. Therefore change management models have evolved over the last decades. In addition, change models can be used for changing a strategy (Gioia and Chittipeddi, 1991) or changing an organization (Caldwell, 2003). The change itself can be done episodically or continuously (Weick and Quinn, 1999). Single, double and triple loop learning in change management In my opinion an important feature of many models of change is that they underline single and double loop learning rather than triple loop learning. Gioa and Chittipeddi (1991, p. 444) notes that the Sensemaking and Sensegiving model contains a re visioning loop which is from my point of you a typical double loop learning process according to Agrys and SchĂśn (1978). Additionally, Weick and Quinn (1999) describe single loop learning as a first order change and follow the typology of the life cycle and evolution approach according to Van de Ven and Poole (1995). Further, Weick and Quinn (1999) claim that a first order change creates only a minor alteration in a current conviction. Torbert (1999, p.202) adds that the Meta theory ... The Nation itself can hardly be changed, the benefits are purely emotional, the Image is complicated and the ownership is unclear. A nation brand is not centered on any specific product, service or cause that can be promoted directly to the customer. But Nation branding concerns a countries whole image, covering political, economic, historical and cultural dimensions. A Nation has not one but multiple images. What image is retrieved depends on the audience , the context and the time. The author finds out that negative national image does not necessarily affect the purchase of products made by that country, by giving the example of Japan and China. Through the eyes of two daughters, Dee and Maggie, who have chosen to live their lives in very different manners, the reader can choose which character to identify most with by judging what is really important in one s life. In Dee s case, she goes out to make all that can of herself while leaving her past behind, in comparison to Maggie, who stays back with her roots and makes the most out of the surroundings that she has been placed in. Dee oppresses herself in many ways by the limitations that she puts on herself with her family and new lifestyle. All of the choices she decides, to make herself a more well rounded person, to better fit into society, end up making her a deplorable person because of the harm that it has on her family. Literary critic Mary Helen Washington believes Dee is an example of a stereotypical assimilated women who alienates them self from their roots, and cuts them self off from real contact with their own people and their inner self (22). This concept explains why Dee rarely makes trips home, and shows that she is really disowning a part of herself by not accepting her family and past. On the other hand, the younger of the daughters, Maggie, is portrayed as a more homely and loyal daughter who is deeply in touch with her heritage. On a personal level, Maggie does not contain the strong willed personality of her sister, but is very content with her family s past, and the direction that her life is taking. Maggie is so accustomed to her strong family ties and the family history that surrounds her everyday in the house, that it is not a priority to have the quilts passed along to her. (History of Cajun Country, 2006). Cajun French was made from African, Spanish, Native American and English origins. The language that was spoken widely by the settlers has fallen by great numbers. One of the main reasons the number has lower is because anyone who spoke the language from 1916 to the 1960s was punished for speaking it or learning it. Luther Hall that was elected as governor in 1912 made new acts to make English the primary language spoken. In 1916 Act 27 was turned into law. The Act forces all children to attend public schools where English was taught and only spoken. This made the children who were raised in households that spoke Cajun French to learn English. As explained through Lord of the Flies by William Golding, these pivotal building blocks of a civilization can play a great part into bringing a group of people to society, or drag them all down into savagery. The conch shell is an excellent example of political legitimacy and democratic power. Although, while this device can be used for good; providing others with order and sanity, it can also be used for the utter destruction of a civilization. The conch shell in Lord of the Flies by William Golding begins as civilization and order, becomes the fragility of power and influence, and concludes with the collapse of any civilized thoughts. Civilization and order can be found within every society, and this is no exception within the group of boys in the beginning of the novel. Throughout the exposition of the story, governance over the group of boys was unknown. No order was established to influence the boys to cooperate and fulfill the needed tasks to get off the island. Although, there was a stillness about Ralph as he sat that marked him out: there was his size, and attractive appearance...yet most powerfully, there was the conch. Further, trying to better the political system, the Populist Party made themselves known. Their platform demanded that the government be restored to the hands of the plain people. They wanted to end oppression, injustice, and poverty (DOC F). Evidently, they were dedicated to political and social reform, and urged that the government be strengthened and take responsibility of the people. The harsh working conditions resulting from industrialization drove laborers to organize into unions. Economist David A. Wells compares working in a factory to working in the military because workers are taught to perform one single task. Moreover, manufacturing has largely taken away workers pride in their work (DOC C). Mass production techniques led to specialization of labor, which subsequently decreased workers pride in their craft, as well as left workers largely unskilled. • 23. Three Most Important Composers of the Twentieth Centruy Music underwent a plethora of changes throughout the twentieth century, including a complete transformation from the large symphonic works of the late 1800s to the short, electronic ditties of the late 1900s. With all that change, choosing only three composers to represent the entire twentieth century would be impossible. For example, the innovation of electronic music added an entirely new genre to the world of classical music; however, the three composers discussed here did not write in that style and instead influenced other aspects of the music world. Arnold Schoenberg, Aaron Copland, and Igor Stravinsky each greatly impacted the musical world around them. Schoenberg s journey away from tonality to serialism changed the way that composers wrote for the rest of the century, while Copland s music emancipated American sound from the European styles. Stravinsky brought many musical styles to the height of what could be accomplished in each one, and his excellence influenced many composers during and after his time. Schoenberg, Copland, and Stravinsky represent three of the most important composers of the twentieth century. The founder of the second Viennese School, Arnold Schoenberg, was known as a prominent composer and a comprehensive theorist who addressed both aesthetic and philosophical issues. Schoenberg s early works served to sum up Romantic ideas. Written in 1903 and orchestrated in 1910, Gurrelieder was a pinnacle of the Romantic style. Schoenberg composed ... Some similarities still remain through the evolution of marketing merchandise, but many differences can be seen in more recent ads. The Palmolive soap company s advertisements from the 1900s exemplify the issue of sexism that took place in that time period. The ads primarily focus on the youth and beauty of women and how it appeals to men. The advertisement creators target the insecurities of women and threaten the achievement of being loved by a man. One is able to deduce from the findings whether groups of people were transient or stationary by examining findings from a midden. Refuse stashes also tell us much of what a specific group consumes in terms of diet or housing materials. One is able to discover how long ago an individual lived by using dating measurements such as radio carbon dating or argon dating. The use of human biological remains is the most beneficial and educational resource for archeologists in the field and in the laboratory. There are many ways to determine antiquity with archeological findings that fall under two main categories, relative dating and absolute dating. Relative dating uses techniques applied by the archeologists themselves and produce a general understanding of the age of findings while absolute dating can provide an exact date the biological remains were alive and uses much more elaborate and in depth laboratory testing techniques. Absolute dating techniques such as dendrochronology, radiocarbon dating, and argon dating are the most effective and wide spread methods for dating human biological remains to provide a detailed analysis of antiquity. Radiocarbon dating is the most widespread and commonly used technique for dating human remains in archeology. The characters in the novella, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, are all effected by machismo in one way or another. The importance of this theme is that each drawing is an example of a different concept of drawing, Though multiple concepts are sometimes included in the same drawing there will always be a main focus that teaches a new lesson and learning these is imperative for any artist. The media used on these drawings are graphite, charcoal, ink wash, and prisma pencil. Project one, is of an orange. Sims follows this theme by experimenting with mixed media. She uses graphite, charcoal, and ink wash as well as 11 media processes in the creation of this piece including, hatching, cross hatching, scribbling, tortillion marks and many more. This project is used as a preview to all the processes that can be used in the creation of a drawing. Project two depicts a closet scene, the viewer is looking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sims wanted this collection to be used as a way for prospective artists to see and understand some of the most important concepts of creating a drawing. The drawings of this collection are objective, every mark was intentional and the meanings behind the images are not complicated. Her idea was to show how to create a drawing rather than to make the viewer guess how to do it like they would with subjective art where nothing is definite. Overall, any drawing that is created will have at least one of the concepts shown in this collection. It does not matter whether the image is hundreds of years old or will not be created for another hundred years. To be a successful drawing, it will have to contain at least one of these ... • 42. How Did Ben Chifley Influence The Labour Movement I try to think of the Labour movement, not as putting an extra sixpence into somebody s pocket, or making somebody Prime Minister or Premier, but as a movement bringing something better to the people, better standards of living, greater happiness to the mass of the people. We have a great objective the light on the hill which we aim to reach by working for the betterment of mankind not only here but anywhere we may give a helping hand. This is but a short excerpt of Ben Chifley s famous Light on the Hill speech in 1949, but it shows the extent of his political aptitude and beliefs as a true believer in the Labour movement. He is best recognised for his leadership in the Keynesian, interventionalist reconstruction of the Australian economy following the Second World War and also his tenure as the architect of the Australian welfare state since 1945. As such, it is highly evident Ben Chifley had a substantial impact on the post war Australian economy. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Educating himself in economics and finance in order to boost his electoral appeal, Chifley began his political career in 1928, having won the NSW seat of Macquarie for the ALP and later became prime minister following John Curtin s death in 1945. Chifley heavily believed in the ideology of democratic socialism, the guiding philosophy of the Australian Labor party, which led him to attempt to achieve what he described as, a greater general intervention and planning in economic and social affairs in ... Issues In The Transgender Community Trans Pandemic The transgender community has been facing much more ridicule than society realizes in our generation, we have been trying to change and accept more and more things. Yet I never realized how much and how little improvement has happened in the past years. While watching The Daily Show, one of my favorite television shows, I heard about the problems I never really have thought about before. Actually realizing all the issues within the transgender community really surprised me. One major problem is the Bathroom Bill, a bill some people are trying to get passed. One of these many types of bills would restrict access to transgender people using the bathroom they identify with; one example is a house bill that was attempted to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If these people are fighting so hard because God doesn t approve of their lifestyle (of being their true selves,) society s logic is incredibly flawed. They are not only judging the transgender community but hurting other people, religion is about equality and acceptance no matter what. It is not a sin to desire feeling comfortable in your own body. You wear sweatpants, he wears a dress. Move on. I loved the way the daily show tried to shine some light on the transgender community all while pointing out how ridiculously people are reacting to transgender people living the way they were meant to. Making light of these situations is really helpful in times like this. Even within harsh circumstances, every person of every gender (and sex) deserve a laugh. The bathroom bill is a bill that shines light on the issues people face every day, issues that should not be issues in the first ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Examples Of Vestibulee In Dante s Inferno Dante, first, talks about the people of Vestibule. These people are considered trimmers and neutrals. People who are in Vestibule are neither a part of Heaven nor Hell. The consequences of their actions in this world is reflected in the afterlife as a punishment. Their punishment is chasing a banner and being bitten by insects. Chasing a banner is a punishment which reflects that these people followed every opportunity in the world; therefore, they will keep doing the same thing in the hereafter. The connection between the insects and the people of Vestibule is insects benefit from human beings as the people of Vestibule continually benefit from other people throughout their lifetime. Their punishment is not an external punishment because what they plant now is what they will harvest later. Virgil says, We have come to the place where / I said that you would see the woeful people / who have lost the good of the intellect (Dante, 1417). This quote explains how these people created their own Hells by using their intellect for the wrong purposes. They got what they deserved as the actions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The punishment for the angry is thrashing around and taring each other as for the sullen it is being unheard and unseen. Trashing around and taring each other fits their sin because angry people always fight with others, therefore, their punishment is trashing. Being submerged fit the sullen because the sullen people were given a promising life, however they spent their lives moping and pitying themselves. Dante explains these people as, In the world he was an arrogant person; / no kindness adorned his memory, / so his shade is furious here (Dante, 46 48). He adds, As one who learns of a great trick, / played on him and who resents it, / so Phlegyas became in his pent up rage. (Dante, 1433).
