This document summarizes the production of egg crates from recycled carton wastes. It begins by describing egg cartons and their purpose of protecting eggs during transportation. It then discusses the benefits of recycling paper products in general. The author designed and manufactured a permanent aluminum mold for producing paper egg crates. Dimensions of the mold were determined based on an existing plastic egg crate sample. Aluminum was selected as the mold material due to its properties. The production process involved making patterns from the sample, then using sand casting to create the permanent mold. Recommendations include adding an oven to the mold design to aid drying and using a better binder for the paper crates.
