About Facts and Figures
• Every year according to Government of Nepal large amount
of rice is imported i.e. value 19 billion.
• Wheat import is increased by 187% compared to last fiscal
year.
• According to custom department of Nepal agro-products of
30.73 billion has imported during 71/72
• According to NEF & project supply/demand of milk our daily
demand is 33.6 million tons per year but the supply is 23
million tons, so these figures shows the potential of these
products in Nepalese market.
• To implement this Ministry of agriculture development has
unveiled grant of 12 billion.
