Queen and delivery of a logistically complex two day music event – “The Rock & Roll Charity Concert”.

April 2013 – Present Day
Head of Hospitality
As a Premier League football club and a 5 star South Coast Event Venue Southampton Football club is a fast
paced and challenging environment. I am responsible for planning and delivery of all aspects of the Hospitality
portfolio with private events for up to 1,100 guests and the Match Day Operation for up to 1,500 guests. I lead in
the strategic development of the Department alongside all other operations within the club. I am also
responsible for the 68 cover staff restaurant within the stadium.
Responsibilities
 Strategic planning and operational delivery
 P & L
 Budget control
 Financial reporting
 Staffing with up to 175 members of staff reporting into the department on a match day
 Target achievement alongside the sales department
 H & S including Risk Assessments and staff training
 Delivery of large off site events including all logistics
 Personal development and support of direct reports and all casual staff
 All staff rotas across multiple platforms
 Food Allergy Management and Best practise
 Support to the Event planning Department including Event design
 Liaison with the Sales team working on cross platform plans to increase sales and spend per

Achievements
 Planning, Organisation and delivery of a 6 week Christmas Event Program which served over
12,000 guests and exceeded target.
 Training and implementation of the new food allergy legislation across the whole stadium
 Set up of the new staff catering restaurant including menu design and delivery and all
operational aspects
 Completion of all new protocols and procedures for the operations department
 Active role in the design and presentation of the new SFC culture
 Planning and delivery of the launch event at the new SFC training Ground

Lakeside Park Hotel
March 2008 – April 2013
EVENT MANAGER
This 4 star luxury 2 Rosette Hotel is the best on the Isle of Wight and has played host during my time there to
many blue chip corporate and exclusive private events. The hotel was just over 2 years old and when I joined just
6 months after completion no event procedures or marketing plans were in place. I have subsequently and
successfully established the hotel as a leading event venue which delivers first class and memorable events.
Responsibilities
 All aspects of operational management
 To manage and deliver all events in the hotel including, corporate, conferences, product launches,
private parties and weddings
 To maintain all administrative aspects and up to date sales figures and forecasts
 To communicate with all other internal departments to ensure that impact to other hotel guests is kept
at a minimum
 To maintain and deliver 4 star customer service
 To grow the sales income in line with forecasts
 As a brand ambassador to ensure that the Lakeside Park brand is always represented at its best
 To design and deliver a direct marketing strategy
 To liaise with all clients and deliver clear event management plans and timelines
 To manage commercial opportunities and maximise monetary growth
Procedures I have put in place include:

 Brochures & marketing aids for both the hotel and spa

EVENT DIRECTOR (PARTNER)
KAM Productions specialised in all aspect of Event Management from conception to completion I was responsible
for all operational management for large outdoor, primarily music based Events including:
 Outdoor music event license application
 Health & Safety and road closures
 Tour management
 On site event management
 Booking of headline music acts
 Infrastructure hire and delivery including, staging, lighting, dressing rooms, toilets, track way and total
site management from build to strike.
 Event ticketing
 Event marketing
 Liaison with the local community
 Liaison with all stakeholders
 Securing of sponsorship
 Event team management
 Budget control including client financial reports and purchase ordering of stock and infrastructure
 Casual staff procurement & management
Achievements
Delivery of the “Rock and Roll Charity Event” in Dagenham 2008. This event was privately funded by music
promoters with an overall budget of £300,000. The whole project was managed by KAM Productions from
the initial brief to its delivery to an audience of 20,000.
Responsibilities Included
 License application – subsequent objection hearing
 Successfully securing the license
 Liaison with all emergency service representatives
 Initial presentation of the event to all third party stakeholders
 Completion of Health & Safety documentation (working with a professional body)
 Delivery of the operating schedule
 To conduct multi agency meetings
 Securing and negotiation with all 14 acts including the Suga babes and Status Quo
 Contract negotiation with the acts
 All on site build and management

Hospitality & Events Manager
Osborne House is Queen Victoria ex Royal Residence the property is managed by English Heritage and steeped in
historical importance. It houses important antiquities which are managed and maintained by the Royal Collection
team at St James’s palace. I started my career as Hospitality manager for Osborne House to launch the venue as a
premier events site in line with the Department of Media and Sports wish to maximise financial growth at some
of their premier historical sites. Having successfully launched the site I then went on to develop and deliver live
outdoor concerts at several EH sites
Responsibilities
 Provide support and training for other members of the Events Team for third party outdoor events
 Liaison with all stakeholders including the Royal Collection
 Writing and Delivery of a Memorandum of Understanding
 Set up and operate within the standard operating procedures and Event Management Safety Plan
 Delivery of sales targets
 Liaison with catering team head chef and FOH manager and with the House management teams.
 To deliver all aspects of events from conception to completion, including detailed pre planning, client
and public body liaison, staff training and management, risk assessments, H & S and running the event
whilst live.
 All aspects of event planning including, design, entertainment, floral arrangements and sourcing
unusual requests.
 To be up to date with and comply to current Health & Safety legislation
 To develop and implement local marketing initiatives
 To manage and achieve results from cultivation events
 To achieve high standards of customer satisfaction
 To be fully conversant with operational procedures, site rules and regulations
 To produce on a monthly basis sales reports indicating phased income and enquiry figures broken
down to provide data analysis
 To develop and maintain a list of accredited suppliers including auditing food safety, insurance cover
and Health & Safety
 To create and maintain a valuable database
 To manage the site hospitality budget including all aspects of credit control
 To deliver events from conception to completion in an organized and effective way.
 Write and deliver regular training courses on delivering successful events for the Visitor Operations
Team.
Achievements
Delivery of live music events at 3 sites with the Bournemouth symphony Orchestra, Westlife, Ronan Keating and
Status Quo. Securing buy in from many sceptical stakeholders and proving that successful up to date live music
events can run with little impact at sensitive sites.

Hallam Fm is a commercial radio station, which reaches over quarter of a million
listeners in South Yorkshire & the North Midlands. Part of the Emap Group which was one of the largest
media organisations and boasts such names as Smash Hits, Kiss radio, Q magazine a host of TV
Channels and a group of 8 radio stations.
Responsibilities
 Delivery of all marketing strategies through innovative events
 Delivery of an event timetable across 8 stations
 Communication with all internal departments
 To ensure that listener targets were delivered
 To develop and launch new big city branding across the network
 To manage a core team of staff who specialised in the image of the brand
 To manage an individual budget of £125,000
 To work with the station charity to produce an charity income of £100K
 To manage and deliver outdoor party in park events for audiences up to 20,000
 To manage a cost centre with production of invoices and statements
Achievements
Awarded the Emap Supernova Award at Alexandra Palace in July 2001.This award is presented to the
employee who has been with the organisation for less than 2 years and in this time has shown
tremendous promise and astounding success. An external panel of people from the media and radio
business judges it. It is open to all employees from the T.V., Magazine and Radio arm of the business.
I was also awarded a chamber of commerce excellent marketing award, a Sony Award and a runner up
In the New York Radio Awards.

CAREER HISTORY Southampton Football Club April 2013 – Present Day Head of Hospitality As a Premier League football club and a 5 star South Coast Event Venue Southampton Football club is a fast paced and challenging environment. I am responsible for planning and delivery of all aspects of the Hospitality portfolio with private events for up to 1,100 guests and the Match Day Operation for up to 1,500 guests. I lead in the strategic development of the Department alongside all other operations within the club. I am also responsible for the 68 cover staff restaurant within the stadium. The hotel was just over 2 years old and when I joined just 6 months after completion no event procedures or marketing plans were in place. I have subsequently and successfully established the hotel as a leading event venue which delivers first class and memorable events. English Heritage DCMS August 2003 – May 2007 Hospitality & Events Manager Osborne House is Queen Victoria ex Royal Residence the property is managed by English Heritage and steeped in historical importance. It houses important antiquities which are managed and maintained by the Royal Collection team at St James’s palace. I started my career as Hospitality manager for Osborne House to launch the venue as a premier events site in line with the Department of Media and Sports wish to maximise financial growth at some of their premier historical sites.
