 EF1901: GC-29 Project, KOC North Kuwait
 GC-29 is designed to produce up to 100 MBOPD of dry crude with maximum 240 MBWPD of water and
62.5 MMSCFD of associated gas.
 The process comprises two-phase LP separators, degassing boot and tank for primary separation of oil,
gas and water followed by two-stage electrostatic dehydration / desalting to meet the dry crude oil
product specifications with respect to RVP (8 psia), BS&Water (max. 0.1% vol of crude) and salt content
(<5PTB).
 The separated stable oil dispatch to CMM via point A, separated gas is transferred to booster station
BS131 and treated separated water to EWTIP.
 Reviewed Smokeless requirement of HP flare package during blocked discharge case when plant is
running at design capacity.
 LP separator crude oil outlet line is sized for 2-phase flow/ No pocket to avoid vibration issues during
operation.
 For Vapor recovery TV Compressor is provided to recover crude storage tank vapor to be send to
booster station-131.
 As a process team participated in 70% model review.
 Reviewed Contractor transmittals include technical query, hydraulic calculation, process and mechanical
datasheets, concession request, TBA.
 Preparing response to contractor’s letter and memos from asset team.
 Close co-ordination with asset team to resolve technical issues and HAZOP recommendation closure.
 Reviewing pressurized closed drain system, HP and LP flare system, Fuel Gas system.
 EF1920: New Water Center Project, KOC North Kuwait
 New water center is designed to supply wash water/fire water (140 MBWPD) and potable water (10.8
MBWPD) to end-user facility. The wash water/fire water specification to achieve 95% removal of 5
microns and larger and 90% removal of 2 microns and larger using Water filtration package.

 Requirement of additional 971 Nm3/hr of plant air (intermittent) for water filtration package air
scouring during back wash mode for 10 min duration per every 6 hr was resolved by adding buffer
vessel and due to this modification compressor capacity is not affected.
 Participated in preparation of bid package, preparing process responses to bidder’s query.
 Involved in reviewing technical bid evaluation to raised bidder clarifications before bid closing.
 Reviewed Contractor transmittals include technical query, hydraulic calculation, process and mechanical
datasheets, concession request.
 Preparing response to contractor’s letter and memos from asset team.
 On deputation to South Korea to Participate in P&IDs design review meeting and 30% model review
session.
 Reviewed preliminary variation proposal submitted by contractor and preparing responses.
 High pressure issue on water distribution network has been resolved by optimizing line size.
 Reviewed Contractor site visit verification report to eliminate potential variation order and prepared
responses to contractor.

 Jazan Refinery Tank farm consist of storage and pumping facility for 22 different fluids includes raw

 Closed Drain system has been optimized based on grouping of different fluids having same chemical
characteristics after deliberately discussed with client.
 Performed Refinery wide review of slop system being Petrofac as lead system contractor. Major design
has been freeze after extensive study on slop data received from various upstream contractors through
interface management system.
 Independently handling the Vapor recovery package the service e.g. Aromatic, Isomerate, HDT LN and
Slop etc. Aromatic Storage tank being API650 IFR tank the vapor loading as per US EPA AP -42 section
7.1 has been proposed to client.
 Issue base involved in Effluent treatment plant basic design finalization.
 Cold Eye review of LPG, 91/95 RON Gasoline Blender system and optimized the key area of blender
system.

liquefaction unit, LNG rundown unit and all the associated utilities and facilities.
 Isothermal and isobaric compressor settle out pressure calculation for compressor loop to finalized PSV
set pressure and design pressure of compressor suction loop.
 Perform Emergency depressurization calculation 1. Hot Depressurization for BDV valve sizing 2. Cold
depressurization to estimate MDMT for BDV downstream piping.
 Flare header sizing, blow down report preparation and flare system model preparation using Aspen-Flare
net.

package is the most critical section of the FCC unit.

 Involved in Review of Process Instrument Datasheets and special valve includes slide valve, diverter
valve, double clapet valve, T-grid valves, Goggle valve butterfly valve, MOVs.
 Reviewed Vendor print for special valve HPUs and purging/blasting details of special valve stuffing box.
 Reviewed mechanical Design diagram, material selection diagram, cause and effect diagram, control
narratives.
 Major equipment involved in the projects are Reactor and Regenerator of 12m in diameter, Main Air
Blower operated by HHP steam turbine, Fired Heater dual firing, Power Recovery Turbine generating 19
MW power from flue gases generated from Regenerator, Third Stage and Forth Stage Separator for
separating catalyst from flue gases in order to avoid catalyst losses, Flue Gas Cooler generating HP
steam from flue gases, Catalyst Bin and Hopper and solid Catalyst handling system, major pipe line are
refractory lined having pipe diameter of 96 inch and process operating temperature of 788 C.
 Critical issue were resolved with the help of licensor during course of detailed engineering : Upset due to
FGPRT trip and diverting full load on orifice chamber, acid due point issue at economizer section of flue
gas cooler, Efficient TSS-FSS system supplied by belco for separation of catalyst dust up to 50 mg/m3
from flue gas, Solid Catalyst handling under positive pressure of plant air, Low differential pressure
across slide valve, Feed injector for distribution of VGO feed to riser section of reactor, process
guarantee of LPG maximization case (MS Mode Case) and propylene maximization case (Design case)
plus hydraulic guarantee of unit lies with LSTK contractor.
 Active Participation in HAZOP Study and Nodding P&IDs for reactor regenerator section of FCC unit.
 Process engineering support to chiyoda corporation, Japan during execution of DCU
Plant, Jubail Export Refinery at Saudi Arabia. (FEED verification and detailed
engineering).

and tube heat exchanger, and other miscellaneous items like strainer, silencer.

instrument, analyzers, pressure & temperature instruments using smart plant instrumentation in tools.
 Ensuring Alarms and Trips settings for critical instrument identified in P&IDs.

Description Technip E&C Limited, PMC for KOC Projects Department Process Engineering Designation Design Engineer Process Experience 4th Jun 2014 to till date (~2.0 Year) NATURE OF RESPONSIBILITY  EF1901: GC-29 Project, KOC North Kuwait  GC-29 is designed to produce up to 100 MBOPD of dry crude with maximum 240 MBWPD of water and 62.5 MMSCFD of associated gas.  The process comprises two-phase LP separators, degassing boot and tank for primary separation of oil, gas and water followed by two-stage electrostatic dehydration / desalting to meet the dry crude oil product specifications with respect to RVP (8 psia), BS&Water (max. 0.1% vol of crude) and salt content (<5PTB).  The separated stable oil dispatch to CMM via point A, separated gas is transferred to booster station BS131 and treated separated water to EWTIP.  Reviewed Smokeless requirement of HP flare package during blocked discharge case when plant is running at design capacity.  LP separator crude oil outlet line is sized for 2-phase flow/ No pocket to avoid vibration issues during operation.  For Vapor recovery TV Compressor is provided to recover crude storage tank vapor to be send to booster station-131.  As a process team participated in 70% model review.  Reviewed Contractor transmittals include technical query, hydraulic calculation, process and mechanical datasheets, concession request, TBA.  Preparing response to contractor’s letter and memos from asset team.  Close co-ordination with asset team to resolve technical issues and HAZOP recommendation closure.  Reviewing pressurized closed drain system, HP and LP flare system, Fuel Gas system.  EF1920: New Water Center Project, KOC North Kuwait  New water center is designed to supply wash water/fire water (140 MBWPD) and potable water (10.8 MBWPD) to end-user facility. The wash water/fire water specification to achieve 95% removal of 5 microns and larger and 90% removal of 2 microns and larger using Water filtration package.
  • 2. 2  Requirement of additional 971 Nm3/hr of plant air (intermittent) for water filtration package air scouring during back wash mode for 10 min duration per every 6 hr was resolved by adding buffer vessel and due to this modification compressor capacity is not affected.  Participated in preparation of bid package, preparing process responses to bidder’s query.  Involved in reviewing technical bid evaluation to raised bidder clarifications before bid closing.  Reviewed Contractor transmittals include technical query, hydraulic calculation, process and mechanical datasheets, concession request.  Preparing response to contractor’s letter and memos from asset team.  On deputation to South Korea to Participate in P&IDs design review meeting and 30% model review session.  Reviewed preliminary variation proposal submitted by contractor and preparing responses.  High pressure issue on water distribution network has been resolved by optimizing line size.  Reviewed Contractor site visit verification report to eliminate potential variation order and prepared responses to contractor. Description Petrofac International listed in UK Stock Exchange Department Process Engineering Designation Engineer-1 Process Experience 28th Jan 2013 to 15th May 2014 (~1.5 Year) NATURE OF RESPONSIBILITY  Jazan Refinery Project, Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia (Detailed Engineering). Project cost of 1.4 billion USD to be executed at JEC (Jazan Economic City) of Saudi Arabia.  Jazan Refinery Tank farm consist of storage and pumping facility for 22 different fluids includes raw feed, intermediate and final product storage of export quality.  Key Participation in HAZOP / SIL study.  Closed Drain system has been optimized based on grouping of different fluids having same chemical characteristics after deliberately discussed with client.  Performed Refinery wide review of slop system being Petrofac as lead system contractor. Major design has been freeze after extensive study on slop data received from various upstream contractors through interface management system.  Independently handling the Vapor recovery package the service e.g. Aromatic, Isomerate, HDT LN and Slop etc. Aromatic Storage tank being API650 IFR tank the vapor loading as per US EPA AP -42 section 7.1 has been proposed to client.  Issue base involved in Effluent treatment plant basic design finalization.  Cold Eye review of LPG, 91/95 RON Gasoline Blender system and optimized the key area of blender system. Italy Department Process Centre Designation Sr. Process Engineer Experience 30th May 2011 to 11th Jan 2013 (~1.7 Year) NATURE OF RESPONSIBILITY  Provide Process engineering services to Eni S.p.A. group of company includes, snamprogatti, saipem.  PETRONAS LNG9, Bintulu Project, Malaysia (FEED verification). Hot Depressurization for BDV valve sizing 2. Cold depressurization to estimate MDMT for BDV downstream piping.  Flare header sizing, blow down report preparation and flare system model preparation using Aspen-Flare net.  Petrobras Netherlands B.V. FLNG (FEED verification). Licensor: APCI Client: Petrobras Netherland  Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) / Floating LNG is built to produce 2.7 MTPA of LNG.  Involve in performing hydraulics calculation for pump, control valve and Gravity Circuit for Gas, Liquid and Two-phase flow.  Involve in preparation of equipment and instrument datasheet.   • 4. 4  Involved in Review of Process Instrument Datasheets and special valve includes slide valve, diverter valve, double clapet valve, T-grid valves, Goggle valve butterfly valve, MOVs.  Reviewed Vendor print for special valve HPUs and purging/blasting details of special valve stuffing box.  Reviewed mechanical Design diagram, material selection diagram, cause and effect diagram, control narratives.  Major equipment involved in the projects are Reactor and Regenerator of 12m in diameter, Main Air Blower operated by HHP steam turbine, Fired Heater dual firing, Power Recovery Turbine generating 19 MW power from flue gases generated from Regenerator, Third Stage and Forth Stage Separator for separating catalyst from flue gases in order to avoid catalyst losses, Flue Gas Cooler generating HP steam from flue gases, Catalyst Bin and Hopper and solid Catalyst handling system, major pipe line are refractory lined having pipe diameter of 96 inch and process operating temperature of 788 C.  Critical issue were resolved with the help of licensor during course of detailed engineering : Upset due to FGPRT trip and diverting full load on orifice chamber, acid due point issue at economizer section of flue gas cooler, Efficient TSS-FSS system supplied by belco for separation of catalyst dust up to 50 mg/m3 from flue gas, Solid Catalyst handling under positive pressure of plant air, Low differential pressure across slide valve, Feed injector for distribution of VGO feed to riser section of reactor, process guarantee of LPG maximization case (MS Mode Case) and propylene maximization case (Design case) plus hydraulic guarantee of unit lies with LSTK contractor.  Active Participation in HAZOP Study and Nodding P&IDs for reactor regenerator section of FCC unit.  Process engineering support to chiyoda corporation, Japan during execution of DCU Plant, Jubail Export Refinery at Saudi Arabia. (FEED verification and detailed engineering).
