The Senior Engineer within R&D is responsible for key technical contributions supporting the team of Engineers with the goal of
technical excellence within Clearswift security products.
The Platform team delivers the operating system and common utility libraries as a foundation for all Clearswift products. The team
maintain the consistent provision of platform functionality inherent to Linux variants, Open Source and other 3rd party libraries.
Alongside delivery of the requisite Linux platforms, this team also manage software configurations, update repositories and track
issues and fixes relating to our 3rd party software dependencies.

Pre-Sales Engineer EMEA – FRENCH SPEAKING based in Reading, Berkshire
Targeted business growth and the need to provide support to the International Sales team in
technically complex opportunities has created a requirement for an energetic, self-motivated
presales technical professional to support successful conversion of these opportunities. You will
be responsible for providing technical guidance / presales activities across the complete sales
cycle for the International sales team, and be expected to engage with prospective / existing
customers and partners to sell the Clearswift solution portfolio into defined accounts including
our specific verticals; Finance and Banking, Central Government and Defense, Police and
military, Manufacturing and other data sensitive security markets.
The Presales Engineer (SE) will work with Clearswift prospects and clients to craft data security, data risk
management and data loss protection solutions. In this role, the Presales Engineer needs to be consultative in
nature, able to analyse and understand a customer’s business process challenges and objectives and create
insightful solutions using Clearswift’s technology. During this process, the SE needs to be able to conduct both
strategic workshops (eg data security approach) and technical deep dive workshops (e.g. encryption). They
need to be able to effectively demonstrate the product in action using virtualization technology tools like
VMware. Finally, the SE needs to manage limited-in-scope proofs-of-concept by installing the solution in a live
customer environment, configuring the solution and training the prospect on its operation. This position is
primarily based in Clearswift’s offices in Theale, however will include up to 75% outside travel to customers in
EMEA (mainly Europe).
