The Ekain cave is located in the Basque Country region of Spain, in the province of Gipuzkoa. It contains paintings from the Upper Paleolithic period between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago. The cave consists of several rooms and galleries decorated with black and red paintings, mostly depicting bears. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 due to the significance of its prehistoric art.

They used the cave entrance for a living, inhabited the
area with most sun and light.
Ekain cave consists of several rooms and galleries, each

Each of you if you visit this cave are going to
experience what it was like to live inside the
cave.
All visits to the museum are guided tours.
However, the tours will be a bit peculiar as
we will walk through the cave in complete
silence.

6. WORLD HERITAGE SITE
This cave it was declared world heritage in the end of the year
2008 by UNESCO .

7. PAINTINGS
They have found a total of 70 figures spread among
the various galleries . Figures 64 are painted and the
remainder recorded.

Gabriela´s opinion: I like this cave because is very
beautiful and has got lots of paintings.I would like to
visit.
Laura´s opinion: I loved doing this work, because this cave is
very interesting and very beautiful.
